DO NOT place your elderly family member in this facility. It is extremely run down and dirty. This facility doesn't provide the basics for the resident. The temperature in our mother's room was 65-66 degrees. We had to bring heating blankets from home to keep her warm. Some days she would not get out of bed because it was so cold. The staff knew as nurses etc., walked in the room wearing jackets. Of course, this was shared with the nurses and case manager many times. There isn't soap or towels in the rooms, (we had to bring those items to the facility). Most are outside contractors (PT, PAs etc.) so it's very difficult to get messages and responses to them especially the PAs. Again, messages (case manager) both email and phone calls went unaddressed. They ran out of coffee the first week and I saw the residents lined up to get a very small Styrofoam cup only to be told "we are out." After the 3rd week - the same message. It may seem small to most, but again...to the residents lined up it was not. The family was very involved in the care of our family member. We sent emails asking for assistance and updates only to be completely ignored. The lack of communication between the staff is lacking. "Shower time" was hit or miss. We were told too busy, not enough aids, etc., My mother was left alone in the shower (she is 90). Because they do not keep logs on staff etc., they could only "guess" who that staff member was. Can you imagine being elderly, left in a shower room, turn water on and leave? She was extremely frightened. Again, that was shared with the CM. Only because we had someone almost daily with our family member would we be able to get some concerns addressed. Please don't respond to reach out etc., we have with no response or resolution. In fact, we still have not received a call back regarding DISCHARGE medications. My heart breaks for the elderly or anyone for that matter that doesn't have an advocate. If you or someone is there for ONLY PT it will be ok but, for anything medical or you family member has challenges with cognitive skills etc., please continue to look elsewhere, your loved ones count on you. This facility needs an audit as I believe this is both a Medicaid and Medicare facility. AWFUL..still waiting read more
