I was driving at night, got off exit at 2am and had to sleep in my van in 0 degree temperatures. Chris invited me to come to his shop and let me jump to the front of the line on his very busy day. I was in by 8:10 am. He got my van diagnosed, parts delivered and I was back on the road after lunchtime. I am so grateful to him to help me get back on the road. I am a dog/house sitter and I was expected in Annapolis that night. The homeowner had already left the country for a trip. Chris and his team were not only professional but generous in their efforts to help me. I was told where I could get lunch and I was able to sit in his waiting area for hours, have bathroom access and even had a fireplace turned on because I was cold. He organized and guided me with the order of importance to make sure I had a safe vehicle to drive! My first delt with a repair in relation to a loud noise from what I was explained was a bearing issue in the rear. Along with a new alignment and other services, the repairs were made at a very high cost. There was no noice and the car was in good shape. In a few months, the same exact noise returned. I returned it to Saf T Auto only to discover that the caliper was "frozen" and I needed more repairs that would cost $1,300 +. It was explained that the bearing was not the issue this time around. It was the caliper. I decided that alone should be fixed because I simply could not afford to pay the larger cost. I was assured the caliper replacement would fix the issue with the noise. After the repairs, I picked up my vehicle and drove off and immediately my alert AWD light came on. I returned back to the Saf T Auto where they fixed the alert light. After traveling less than two minutes, the same exact noise that was the issue to begin with returned. I contacted Neil. He said that the bearings will have to be changed after all. I refused to pay for additional services because the part was under warranty by Saf T Auto. Neil concede that it was and explained that it will be fixed at all cost in three more days. What troubled me the most was that the underlined issue of the noise conming from the rear was never repaired after I was assured that the caliper was the issue. And to insinuate that the bearings needed to be changed at an additional cost intially then to confirm that they were under warranty after I refused to pay the cost is severely suspect. No apologies we're given. No "we will repair as soon as possible." I was told it was safe to drive around with damaged bearings. Somehow, I believe that is not an accurate statement. I'd give no stars if I could to reflect this second visit.

Upon pulling in one of the technicians was looking at the rear bumper of my Nissan rogue which one corner was popped out slightly due to being rear ended recently and the driver that rear ended me took off without providing insurance. After the job was complete for the brakes and I was about to leave they took the time to quickly set that part of the rear bumper back in place out of kindness and now it looks brand new again! Super nice and great service! Very appreciative of them going out of their way to correct an issue they did not have to assist with. They do complete machining and rebuilding of any make of engine for everyday cars & trucks, and industrial engines as well. They've been in business here for over 35 years. I wound up with a flat tire in the Stop & Shop parking lot across the street from Plunske's. No…read moreproblem, I figured: I know how to change a tire. But it was a rental car, and I immediately discovered there was no spare tire -- just a device to inject fix-a-flat goo and compressed air into the flat. I'd never seen such a device before, so I walked over to Plunske's and asked for their advice. The first person I spoke to dropped what he was doing to help me figure out how to use the gizmo. I returned to my car, reinflated the tire, and drove it to Plunske's. There I encountered a second employee -- Dan, I think -- who was just as friendly and even more helpful. He removed the tire, carefully checked it visually for holes or leaks, immersed it in water to look for bubbles (and found none), replaced it on the car, made sure it was properly reinflated, and sent me on my way. The whole process with Dan took about 30-40 minutes, and he couldn't have been nicer or more thorough. I'm very grateful for the assistance of both people who helped me at Plunske's.
