Another patient was playing political speech on speakerphone, and a second patient responded by clapping and cheering. I approached the front desk to flag the situation, but the staff member deferred to the office manager, who took no action. When I brought it up with the doctor, his response was equally dismissive. When I asked him if he supported this behavior, he said he saw no issue in allowing someone to listen to whatever they want on their device (without headphones...). When I also pressed on if he supported the person (giving the speech in the recoding being played), he told me he doesn't discuss politics because "this is a place of business" -- which is PRECISELY the POINT. If the office holds that standard, it should be applied consistently, including when patients are creating a politically charged atmosphere that makes others uncomfortable in a small space like the waiting room. A medical office should be a neutral, welcoming space for ALL patients. The failure of staff and the physician to address disruptive behavior in the waiting room reflects poorly on this practice's commitment to patient comfort and professionalism. I hope they revisit their policies around maintaining a respectful environment. And to be honest, as a woman, I do not feel safe or respected at this practice. Not only were 2 men allowed to behave this way in the waiting room, but what was to be my exam appt (skin check), was a MALE DR AND MALE ASSISTANT. No female present in the room with me. I made an appointment, confirmed via text, and drove to the office. During the pandemic, you're required to call when you arrive and they'll let you into their space. I called, they said they had tried to reach me to see if I wanted an online appointment instead and if I'd rather do that. Was very confused because I was literally asking them to open the door for me, standing AT THEIR OFFICE. They let me in, but it felt like they didn't want me there. When I got there I waited like 3 minutes (I think I was the only customer) for the doc to see me. My consultation was on laser hair removal but dr.anu quickly let me know I was not a good candidate (apparently you have to be super hairy with thick dark hair). It was literally a 5 minute interaction and then I left. On one hand I nearly felt it a waste to have come to the office, but on the other, I appreciated that she was honest and didn't try to sell me on anything. I'd say based on the consultation alone, I didn't really find this place comforting or friendly at all. However, it might have just been because of the pandemic? They offer a lot of spa services and definitely were the most responsive out of the multiple med spas I called. She left not only glue on my eyelids so they felt sticky, the dye was on my eyelids and she missed a few of my lashes so they were left straight. and when i went to sleep that night i woke up and my brows were completely messed up and looked terrible. the only thing i cared about tho was my lashes. so i called and asked her about coming back in to fix her mistake on my lashes. not only did i have to pay full price AGAIN for her mistake but they made me pay the same amount even tho i didn't get the bundle this time. i just wanted my brows tinted which was supposed to be 130 altogether. they made me pay the 170 AGAIN!! they are SCAMMERS!! went to dispute both transactions and won't be going back. don't waste your time.
