I internalized the treatment I received by the CA surgeon, who was aloof, rushed most of the time and curt all of the time, leading me to believe it was me and my persistent questioning style all along. His office staff was dismissive and inattentive during my recovery. When in pain, I contacted the office and was told someone would get back to me. After 5 hours, I had to call again, wait on hold and be treated like an impatient child. When I indicated I wanted to do a followup visit, a local friend recommended Dr. Boerner. From the beginning, the treatment and care provided was vastly different! His office staff is very pleasant and went above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work travel schedule. When I arrived, I was met and greeted by everyone, even when they were just walking through the office! Dr. Boerner was kind and listened very intently to my concerns. We chatted bout my lifestyle, interests and what I wanted the outcome to be. He was realistic, frank and compassionate at the same time. The comfort level I felt was unexpected and beyond positive--it was like we were in my living room, not some cold, sterile medical environment! After my procedure, his staff called the next morning to see how I was doing! In today's world, who does that? At the most, I expected an email and lack of personal attentiveness! The followup visits were great and the great treatment one gets can be depended on. I would recommend Dr. Boerner for any treatment, surgery and ophthalmology in a heartbeat.

In December 2021 I was contacted by office staff that there was a problem with an insurance claim and that I owed a balance of about $120. Shortly after that news, I had a serious medical emergency with one of my kids. Yes, I forgot about this bill, that's on me. The bill went to collections and I paid the bill in full the beginning of February. I just tried scheduling my annual skin check and was informed that I was "dismissed" from the practice as a result of the collections action. 14 years with them. And they booted me over $120 because it was a little late. They clearly don't care about their patients. They care about their $$$$.

It's so frustrating when a doctor's offices literally do not care about your health and only want to sell you product, or get you in and out as quick as possible. This office has been around for much too long, is outdated and frankly doesn't care about their patients. It's astounding the difference in treatment I received at Meridian medical aesthetics, and Idahormones. Once you experience better service and more caring medical treatment, you will never come back to Sun Valley skin. Meridian Medical Aesthetics and Idahormones gave much more caring service. I've experienced hair loss, weight loss, dry, itchy scalp, back acne, facial acne, and suspicious moles, which was ALL disregarded by Sun Valley Skin Center to be normal or "not that bad" while Idahormones ordered me a blood test to test my vitamin levels, my thyroid, my testosterone and hormones. They promptly eased all my anxiety surrounding my health by presenting a plan to figure out if anything was wrong. If all my results presented as normal, they discussed several options for hair growth to get results in as little as a month. Plus their Botox was much cheaper.

I live fairly close to the Thistle and Poppy Salon and every time I passed by, I always commented on how cute the outside was and how I should probably check it out. Today I finally had an appointment and I am so happy that I finally decided to get my hair cut there! Jamie was my hairdresser and she did a great job of both thinning out my ridiculously thick hair and cutting my hair exactly how I wanted! The atmosphere inside is great as well. They have a really simple and cute design that I really liked. Some salons are so flashy with super bright lights and really loud music that becomes really overwhelming and overstimulating, but Thistle and Poppy has a really calm and just generally pleasant environment. I'll definitely get my hair cut here again!

After the stylist I was loyal to for 10+ years retired from hair styling, I was a little freaked out to try a new stylist, and I am so glad I found this place. I started with Ingrid, who is absolutely wonderful. She did a great job coloring and trimming my hair. I have transitioned to Erin because she works weekends, and she is awesome as well! She does a great job with my roots and fashion color. Fashion color can be tricky and very expensive, but Erin has perfected the craft and her rates are reasonable (especially compared to salons downtown who all quoted a minimum of $500 for fashion color and actually end up costing a lot more). The atmosphere is very nice as well. The salon stations aren't too close together, which I appreciate. Erin's space is in the basement, which is nicely quiet on Sundays. Her awesome art decorates the space very well and it's cool to learn about it. The online booking is fairly simple and so convenient. You also receive reminder email notifications which is helpful. Overall, I adore this place and its highly skilled stylists!
