I've had a gift certificate as a gift from my husband for over 2 months now. I've called 3 times, texted their number 3 times and finally someone said they would be getting back with me soon. Still no one has texted or called me back. This better be one amazing massage for me to change my review IF I ever get one. Update: I asked for a refund on my gift card since the lady tried to tell ME that I haven't been trying to schedule a massage for the past 2 months. I have the phone calls and texts to prove I have been. She says I'm the most horrible customer she's ever dealt with NO customer service skills at all. You've been warned. I sent a few pics and asked her to do what my hair has been recently. Our text conversation says it all. I asked for a straight haircut it's uneven. Paid $350 then another $300 to have someone else fix it after giving Gina 2 chances. She refunded me $110. Absolutely ridiculous. She stopped responding after I showed her how it was fixed. Took 6 hours of her butchering my hair and another 3.5 for someone else to fix. If she doesn't know how to do something she should say. read more

I got a massage with Stephanie who was extremely professional and very talented. I have had many massages and her customer service and personal rapport is top notch. Gina cut and colored my hair. After Stephanie left Avant Garde I was a little reluctant about finding another massage therapist but having established myself as a regular there Gina offered me a session with their new massage therapist Jamie. I received an hour massage and was immediately sold on her professionalism, experience, and great personality. Today I was in for another massage with issues in my lower back as well as painful trigger points adjacent to my shoulder blades. As Jamie worked on my lower back I realized that despite feeling great relief I needed equal attention to those trigger points and asked if she could extend my massage to an hour and a half. Jamie was very attentive and agreed and honestly after that massage not only did my back feel so much better the pain I was experiencing in my lower back had subsided and I walked away not only feeling better but very relaxed and pain free. I called Gina last min to fix a super bad hair cut that i got and she did a wonderful job! My hair was hacked when i came in and she reconstructed it and made me feel awesome! She also taught me little tips while she was styling n my hair on how to get more volume! Great job!! I bought this backcombing brush from her and it is AWESOME. My hair is so long its hard to get body but this brush was a god-send; and to top it off it was only 7 dollars or so. Her prices are reasonable as well. read more

I just moved from Naples, Italy and stumbled upon this gem - Avant Garde. The salon has a great atmosphere and they made me feel right at home. My stylist, Heidi was amazing and so easy to talk to. Heidi was patient and really listened to what I had in mind. She also gave me some expert advice along with a complimentary treatment (Redken heatcure) that my hair so needed. My hair color, cut and style is beyond what I envisioned. The salon also offers massages, facial treatments and makeup services. I was not too impressed of the massage therapist working there before her. But this time, the salon did an awesome job in finding the right therapist. I feel anew, every time I go in there. This is a fabulous salon. The decor and atmosphere are very inviting. Lots of natural light. I see the owner Gina for my hair care. She is very skilled and a nice lady. I always enjoy my visits and look forward to our conversations. She is very knowledgeable about the products she uses. This salon uses Surface: Awaken products which do not have any harmful ingredients, and smell fabulous. For a short time I suffered from severe hair loss due to a medication. Gina recommended a product that definitely helped. Gina is very easy to schedule with and I never had to wait for any of my appointments. I can definitely recommend this salon! read more

I looovvee Gina at Avant Garde! The place is very clean and comfortable, they even have these really nifty sinks that adjust to anyone's height! And she really knows what she's doing with coloring. Also, she was nice enough to tell me exactly what I should buy at Sally's if I wanted to do it myself -- she even gave me her cell phone number and told me to text her if I had any questions! They will educate you, make sure you understand the products they use and explain the tools they use on your hair and why. The friendliness of the shop is welcoming and warm.
