Therefore, I am not keen to praise doctors. However, PAMF has a wonderful, smart, caring family doctor that I am compelled to recommend. Her name is Doctor Maggie Williams. Dr Williams is smart, dedicated, experienced, and caring. I have had some major medical issues which Dr. Williams expertly diagnosed and has been helping me resolve. My daughter has a medical issue that her pediatrician and gynecologist misdiagnosed but Dr Williams was quick to diagnose correctly. Dr Williams is conservative and logical in her approach to treatment. She listens and asks intelligent questions. She will order tests when appropriate and will refer patients to specialists both in and outside of PAMF. She will take the time to answer your questions and concerns. She really cares. Like I said, I am very skeptical of the medical profession but if you are looking for an excellent family doctor, then check out Dr. Williams. Speaking for myself, after 2-3 years, the arrival wait time has improved and the wait time once you are placed in an exam room has improved. There have been times when I sensed that the doctor might be a bit rushed but I never left feeling that I was not heard or treated appropriately. My doctor - Dr. Delgado - gives me the impression that she cares about her patients. I share one person's comments about MyChart in that it is mostly a one-sided tool. When information is felt to be incorrect or bothersome, there is no automatic way for patients to resolve that without making phone calls that noone has time for or confronting the doctor or staff which can be awkward or uncomfortable. This can be bad if you need an answer right away. I have several doctors and staff taking care of me and in spite of the challenge they must face in keeping current with care from each other, test results tell me they are doing a good job. Needed bloodwork but phlebotomist not working day of my appointment so had to come back in - few days later called office to schedule, they had me come in that day, then told me when I arrived that the phlebotomist wasn't there that day of the week! Didn't they know that when they made the appt that morning?? 2. Similar with vaccine - scheduled appt for vaccination but when I arrived they told me they just looked and they didn't have any in stock - so once again I'd taken time off from work to come in and I'd have to come back. 3. Final straw was complete lack of customer service - when I went back for the vaccination they told me they use a service to provide the vaccinations and that company says my insurance won't cover the vaccine. I sat in the parking lot and confirmed with my insurance that it is covered, then went back in to hand the phone to the office staff so we could resolve it. Person at the desk could not have been less interested in helping me - no problem solving skills - just silent while insurance company verified coverage then repeated that this other company said it's not covered. You expect some of this type of BS from giant health corporate chains but not from a small office where they have direct control over customer service standards and office processes.
