Avalon - tumbled stones - Spiritual Shop Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I love coming here to browse and buy anything that catches my attention. They have a beautiful selection of stones and a brief description of the metaphysical properties for the stones. Everything here is reasonably priced. I love coming in during a fair they have in their parking lot. I love talking to the staff about their take on each item I pick out. I always meet interesting people here and leave with a new list of knowledge. They have candles, incense and dried herbs in the back. The staff can help you p[pick out a nice mixture of herbs for any purpose your heart desires. The row of books and tarot they have are amazing! read more

I come here with my roommate a lot! I'm gonna be 200% honest and transparent with you - I have no idea what 99% of the stuff in this store is for. However, I am giving them a 5 star rating because the people who work here are so wholesome, kind, gentle, and non-judgmental. They make you feel welcomed and they love to educate their customers on their products. They aren't pushy - you never feel obligated to buy. It's cozy in here, and at times you can be elbow-to-elbow, but the guests aren't rude and everyone interacts so peacefully. My roommate always finds what she's looking for, whether it be incenses or crystals. read more

The smell of Nag Champa as you walk in... the pretty bobbles and gorgeous sparkly things everywhere... Avalon is not just a new age bookstore but also a place to peruse every nook and cranny of the store looking for beautiful works of pagan/wiccan art and the fine selection of jewelry I've only been able to find here. They hold readings here as well as some smallish workshops and book signings. I've been hard pressed to find a store anywhere in town that carries the vast stock of items they do. Sometimes they even have a little freebie bin in the front with books, etc. read more

Avalon offers a nice selection of herbal and alternative products, tucked away on Hillcrest just off the intersection of Colonial and Mills. (You can see the Colonial Photo store from their back parking lot) I arrived to a crowded shop with people perusing and several kids looking through the various stones and rocks. My first trip in was for a Soap Making class/demo, which was informative. The only way the class could have been better was being in a cooler room and leaving with a bar of the type of soap that was made that day. The shop had nice product offerings, staff was helpful. read more

You know what? Magic actually happens here. . .I'm not kidding. I browse; I am invisible. I stand near the register. . .poof! I suddenly exist. Now, I am not expecting tea and biscuits upon arrival, but a greeting would be quite nice at some point. Its a spiritual store, so there is an expectation of peace, and presence. The vibe is off for me-it feels really odd. Cant explain it, but there is a weirdness. Sorry, but will not be returning. Namaste read more

Absolutely love this store! It will meet all of your expectations as far as I am concerned. When I found out about this lovely gem, my intention was to pick out some crystals to work with and learn more about healing. Every time I go in, I feel like a kid in a candy store. Avalon has inspired me to broaden my horizons because I literally want to try something from each section! They have beautiful stones, crystals, books, Tarot cards, incense, journals, scarves, jewelry, candles, incense, I can go on and on. Everyone who I have encountered working there have been very friendly and helpful. They also have a medium give readings from time to time which is awesome. I plan on going back sooner than later as I am brightening my pastures even more spiritually. I do recommend going during the week when it might be a little less crowded. Overall, that wouldn't stop me. I find this place very interesting and alluring. :) read more

If you're looking for anything metaphysical, new age, herbs, stones, books, etc., this is definitely the place for you. The employees are wonderful and definitely make a trip to Avalon extremely enjoyable. The moment you walk in, you are overcome with the relaxing smell of incense. The whole place exudes happiness and it's an instant uplifting feeling. I'm here at least one or twice a week with my boyfriend, they update their inventory regularly. As of late they have almost tripled their inventory due to demand so they have even more great things to buy. The selection of books is really great as they have something for everyone. Also, you don't have to be Wiccan to enjoy this store. They make sure to have something for every type of religion and person. My favorite new age store in the general vicinity of Orlando. read more

I wish i wasnt so far from Orlando, i would be at Avalon more often! I loved this shop, i instantly felt at peace coming in. Their selection of crystals, incense, oils, books, ect were amazing and at reasonable prices. I just bought an actinolite quartz bracelet and a hematite ring which they "cleansed" before giving it to me. I felt so appreciative of that. I recommend this place. read more

Amazing people and prices, a must stop for anyone interested in all things holistic, esoteric, energy healing, crystals, ect.....my new favorite spot in Orlando. read more

Such a great place for herbs, stones and all things metaphysical. I've been coming to Avalon for a few years now. I come from a long line of Shamans and find it hard to find a place that reminds me of the temples back in India. When I walk into Avalon, I literally feel like every burden has been lifted. When you walk in, you'll catch the sweet scent of herbs, candles and incense. I've seen reviews about people not being helped but I've NEVER had a bad customer service experience. The associates are not pushy and they always answer any questions; Interestingly enough, I've developed beautiful relationships with TONS of the people that have and still work there. Here's a list of what you can expect to find here: 1) Candles 2) Essential Oils 3) Herbs of ALL types 4) Divination Tools 5) A BUTT LOAD OF BOOKS 6) Gems & Precious Stones 7) Beautiful jewelry that will leave you BROKE 8) Natural Cosmetics 9) Incense 10) Pyschic Readings read more

Avalon is great. I'll start there. They literally have anything you could possibly need. It's not the ONLY metaphysical store in Orlando, but quite frankly, I like to keep my hidden gems, hidden. Avalon has been around since the early 90s, however, it originally started as Dragonwood. After Dragonwood the place was renamed to Herne's Hollow, when the owner changed. This happened in the late 90s. A year or two later, the place had another new owner, and since then it has been called Avalon. Avalon carries books, incense, candles, sage & smudging, oils, jewelry, herbs, tarot, healing crystals and much more. Miranda is great! She's very nice, always willing to help, and has a lot of useful information. Unfortunately, I will no longer be fulfilling my metaphysical needs with Avalon. As of late, the store has gotten a very high amount of traffic and I cannot even begin to express how excited I am for them as a business. It's very hard for me to focus and find what I need, however, with so many people over my shoulder in such a small space. I absolutely adore Avalon and I would recommend it to anyone in the Orlando area, however, I would suggest arriving earlier in the day, as the crowd isn't as heavy yet. Also, the parking lot is very small and cramped, and parking can be hard to find at times. I believe you can park on the street, but I'm not sure, so don't hold me to that! read more

Nice shop with a multitude of different items. Staff is kind and helpful. Good prices. The only thing that's not good is the limited parking in the area. read more

I've visited the store 3 times over the past two weeks and have not even been able to go inside because if the line having customers wait outside for that long is terrible the management should figure something out soon if they expect people to actually be able to go inside the store read more

Loved the layout of this store, and I was very impressed with the many genres of literature on the bookshelves. I will agree that I wasn't greeted when I walked in, in fact, no one said anything to me the entire time I was there. However I have enjoyed my visits, and will return. read more

Felt a warm presence upon walking in. The scent of incense invited me in. A decent sized crystal collection invited me in. Compared to other shops I've been in this place competes perfectly against stores in Sedona. If you need crystals or stones they have it. Incense, jewelry, clothing, oils, books... They got it. It's a place to call home. They are very friendly and informative. read more

This shop has it all. The staff are the sweetest, most knowledgeable people I've ever met. So many crystals! It was almost overwhelming, but in a good way! Truly an Orlando staple. read more

This place is so magical, the only kinda negative thing I experienced was that I has to wait outside for going in but it was WORTH THE WAIT! There is a lot of variety in anything you want to find, some prices are high but again, it's real worth. Also everyone is so nice in there willing to help you in anything, 100% would recommend and go back to this place read more

When I come to Orlando, this is my must stop! Great selection of crystals, books & other items necessary for metaphysical work. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful! Energy in the place is so great. Please visit if you want high quality crystals! read more

Found this shop on yelp! This store has a lot to offer! tons of crystals and so much more. There were so many people at the store at one time it was really hard to get a personal experience. I for one needed some help on picking out crystals and wanted to know a little bit more about them and which ones are right for me, I was able to talk to someone but not enough to feel satisfied. I do wish the rocks came with a little card or something with the description and name. When I got home I could not remember The names of my crystals and could not find them in the two books I bought. so this shop is great for someone who is an expert and doesn't need any guidance or help but if you're a newbie like me I would suggest going when it is not busy. read more

I actually stumbled upon this place one day while visiting Austins Coffee (a local coffee shop around the corner from there). Anyways. I have been back once a month ever since! The staff at Avalon really knows their stuff. Best place in Orlando to grab oracle cards from! I also get my candle things there. Great spray selection! Pretty much if you wanna get into the metaphysical/psychic side of things you can get it all there! Also they have a large selection of books! Around the corner there is a vegetarian Vietnamese place that serves the best springrolls ask them about it, they will know what it means. Good food around the corner! Its in little asia so theres lots to do around! They have a fairly large herb selection as well, and crystal shop! Love their rings. Boyfriend got me a ring there actually! My boyfriend is always treated with kindness, as well as i am. Its an amazing place to visit when you are having a bad day. One of the authors of a crystal book i know works there in the store (I forget his name but wrote crystal healing for the heart and signed my book and im so greatful) I learned a lot from these guys. I owe like almost everything to them. They really helped improve my mental being almost every time i have gone there. This place is very dear to my heart. I will always go return. read more

I love this store, has dream catchers, stones, candles, herbs, books, jewelry, so much to see. They also do candle dressing which something new to me but very interesting. Check out the store if you are in the metaphysical things. read more

I absolutely love this place. The ambiance is just magical. All the workers are knowledgeable and friendly. They have everything you need related to metaphysical, healing, spiritual and Wicca. They usually have someone available to do readings (cash only). They offer classes (I recommend Suzan's psychic development or tarot classes). Their crystal collection is extensive, one of the larger and diverse ones I've seen in all of Florida. I love how they will dress a candle for you if you ask. One of the most comprehensive and pleasant metaphysical stores I have ever been to. By far, my favorite. read more

My daughter and I just went to this store yesterday and we both felt very unwelcome by a woman who was working today with very short hair, wearing a royal blue dress, and with a terrible demeanor. My daughter and I asked about the Evil eye bracelets and if they were available in black and she walked by us and stated what is there is what's there. My daughter approached her asking for the meaning on a different bracelet with beautiful black crystals and she stated "they pretty much work the same way." I told my daughter to pick out the bracelet she liked and she asked if she could pick one out for her brother and as I'm walking to the front to purchase them she walked by me a third time with the most uncomfortable stare that I told my daughter, that I didn't like the way she made me feel. She was miserable and made the decision to bring that to work. How unfortunate. I have been coming here for years now and I have NEVER left without purchasing at least 6-8 items. I called the store and spoke to a gentleman who was very apologetic about it but all we wanted was to know when she would NOT BE THERE so that we can come in and purchase items without feeling uncomfortable. This woman has negative energy and shouldn't be allowed to project her negativity through a place that is supposed to provide peace and tranquility. Will not be returning as long as she is there. Came here last week with my boyfriend who is deaf/hard of hearing and reads lips in order to communicate with others. I wore a mask in the facility and always respect policy and rules. I put my mask down to say one sentence to my boyfriend who was not understanding me and was immediately approached by an employee. This employee was very unprofessional with how she approached me stating "your mask needs to be over your nose" I said "My boyfriend is deaf and reads lips so i was just trying to communicate with him" she responded with "well this is our policy and if there's still a problem i can go get my manager". It's hard enough already for this mask mandate for individuals dealing with hearing issues and on top of that have to be approached by rude employees. If she approached me in a more understanding and caring way I wouldn't be even writing this review. Please be kind to individuals with hearing/sight/or speaking impairments during this pandemic and approach others with kindness. After this I immediately left the store and went to another crystal shop. I was also visiting from Miami and was really excited about coming to this shop. Such a disappointment. read more

They had an awesome selection of crystals, including large ones and rarer finds. They also had all kinds of metaphysical supplies. The sales people were incredibly warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the best metaphysical shops I've visited. read more

Too rushed of an experience. We waited our turn in line like everyone else to accommodate limited capacity but when we got inside felt rushed. I was told to go wait outside while my husband finished his transaction. It wouldn't have made any difference if I waited for him to finish. read more

Cool little shop but I felt very awkward while I was shopping. I understand that people steal, but having someone behind me every corner I turn and following me to see if I'm going to steal something is very off putting. I would have bought more items but this lady was giving me anxiety. read more
