Open late! This is a huge plus when you work late and chip a nail! The people who work here answer the phone and are actually friendly and helpful. I dropped in at the end of a long work day and they got me taken care of right away. I will look for them again in the future! First time getting mani pedi with my husband for Valentines. Dong and Thao really made the experience memorable for us. The service provided was First class. We were pampered in a relaxing environment, soothing music, massage chairs, even birds chirping, a fish tank, TVs, beverages, the works! Terrible service, My appointment was at 1:00pm ( I asked for fills WITH FRENCH) the lady who was doing my nails kept getting up to attend other clients. I understand places get busy but the lady would forget where she left off and ended up applying a whole different color of acrylic so I had to paint my whole nail when I went in for french. she had left again to do some other persons pedicure at that point some other man took over doing my fills and he was ready to add polish and as he was applying the polish she would have to remove it and file the nail down I ended up leaving at 2:40pm they only gave me $5.00 off!! never again thank you if I were you save time and money and book some other place the Nail Bar has amazing service ! read more

After running errands today, we decided to go to Avalon to get pedicures.I've been here once before, years ago & they had good service previously, so I was excited to go. When I got there I decided to go for the gusto, and get a pedi, full set & waxing. My nail tech Kim was more than happy to complete all my services without a problem whatsoever considering that we were walk ins. She did a great job with every service & my sister was also very happy with her pedicure as well. Also, she offered refreshments, which was a very nice touch, in my humble opinion. I came here on a whim because my regular nail place was closed. Walking in, the facilities seemed nice, but worn. They didn't have as large a color selection for gel manicures as my usual place. My nail tech reeked of cigarette smoke. His technique was sloppy -- for example, he didn't even use the cuticle stick on every finger. My nails don't look bad, but the tips all have a tiny bit of white nail at the ends, where he didn't cover it with polish. It isn't the worst manicure I've ever gotten, but it's definitely mediocre and not worth the $30 plus tip that I paid. UPDATE: After only two days, the gel polish started to peel off. Not a happy customer. read more

I requested a square shape and she tried to do it but they were still thick and not well shaped so I kindly asked her to file a bit more for me.... THIS LADY HAS THE AUDACITY TO HAND ME THE NAIL FILE AND TELL ME TO DO IT MYSELF!!!! I look at her and tell her I came to the nail salon for HER to provide service to me for my nails why would I do it myself???? She then just nods her head and takes her nail file back to try and file down but puts very minimal effort into her filing... SHE THEN HANDS ME THE NAIL FILE AGAIN I tell her I am not going to file my own nails.. if I wanted to file my own nails I would've done it myself at home..... SHE THEN TELLS ME "OK THEN DO IT AT HOME", I grabbed my stuff and said "okay I'm leaving" and walked out of there.. NEVER AGAIN GOING BACK TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!! read more

Sorry Yelpers I'm a bit late but I had to write a review on this place. I must admit they do have excellent customer service with out a doubt. And is very sanitary. when I entered you can smell the clean & freshness in the room I was greeted and was seated right away into a massage chair with a foot tub attached the technician did not provide me with her name but was very polite she gave me a menu of services offered I went with the $35.00 pedicure package but the technician kept insisting on other services and asked me if I was interested in the top package or if I wanted to purchase additional bath salts for feet I declined and said just a pedicure only she was very insistent on me getting a manicure, or facial etc... Even when I clearly stated I only wanted a pedicure that after I said No she spoke with other employees in a foreign language and 2 other women approached me and kept on insisting on providing me with other services they are very forward here I didn't like that at all I felt like I was surrounded by Salesmen. The Technician than offered me a gel pedicure she stated its better than a regular pedicure I declined but she kept on insisting claiming it last longer than regular nail polish. during my pedicure she was digging into my toe and cut me Ouch! Unfortunately the service I paid for was not provided my cuticles weren't clipped among other things that should have been done. read more

My gel manicure came out great, and almost 1.5 weeks later it still looks good. The reason for two stars is that I was told one price and charged another. When I called to ask how much a gel mani was, I was told $20. Upon my arrival, I looked at the menu which confirmed what I was told. However, the man charged me $30, and even when I showed him the price on the menu he insisted on the $30, even though I had no extra services done. Very rude. read more

I have been going to Avalon nails for about a year now. I have always been pleased with their work and all the employees. I went in Sept 27, 2017 at 10:30am and was attended to by a man I have never seen before. This happens all the time but, today was the last straw. Why do they think that because you don't speak the language that they can say anything about you and they can all have a big laugh. As he was working on my toenails the manager approached and he said something derrogatory to her and the attendant at the next station. As soon as he said it they both looked down at my feet and had a good laugh together. Now you can't tell me that they weren't talking about me because they both looked down the same time. This is rude and I wont tolerate it. Your customers should not be made to feel self conscious or embarrassed.You have lost a loyal client. read more
