I was able to tell them over the phone what I needed and when I arrived, the items I requested were ready to be loaded. My family walked into this store because we love music and we were visiting Leavenworth for the weekend and needed to kill some time. We are from the Seattle area and quite frankly are not used to the customer service we received at Avalon (not that Seattle is bad because it's pretty good, but this places employees seemed to really care). We just got a very good vibe from the minute we walked in until we left. Evan was the person who helped us mainly, but we did meet the owner briefly and he seemed pretty cool, too. Evan was amazing! He helped my son with some cello stuff and set my daughter up with a very inexpensive ($1.99) kazoo that the whole family enjoyed for at least the first part of our road trip back. :) We saved $2 on a music book and even more on a footswitch, compared to prices in Seattle. we have shopped at Avalon Music in Wenatchee for years, their staff has always been friendly and helpful! they go our of their way to help you get or find what you want or need, no high powered "sales pitches" just a real effort to understand what it is you want! it is a small shop but with a lot of stock, and they are happy to order something special. they are very good at helping you get your instrument set up to your satisfaction. certainly recommend them!! read more

I've shopped there for years. They are completely local and give great service. Avalon has a good name with local music scene.

Previously purchased a yamaha p-125 at Avalon in Wenatchee. Decided to go in and look for some equipment for mixing since I'm an amateur musician who has been producing for about 2 years now. Not one person came up or even acknowledged that I was there. At least one (I assume employee) walked past me, without as much as a word. No smiles, no hello's, nothing.. What's the point in a Brick and Mortar store, if I'm going to take the time to go in and be completely ignored. In the world of business, quality of product is important, but so is quality of service. And sometimes, service even trumps quality I believe. Maybe they need some more grown ups working, who knows? But anyways, will not be returning, will take my business else where, and I'm sure they don't really care, obviously they don't because they treated me like a ghost. Anyways, I like to support local business as much as I can, but I'm sorry, if I don't even get acknowledged when I'm the only person in the store other than employees, I will take my business elsewhere. And apparently they could care less. I did say something while I was leaving. Perhaps they laughed it off, or said good riddance, we don't want your business anyways. And they aren't gonna get it. read more
