It's absolutely unbelievable how bad this school is! I have 2 kids, 1 girl one boy, they both have been telling me to let me switch schools, and I am shocked how many times they've asked, I wanna know how these kids or teachers are treating my kids, I absolutely need to see a manager because bro this is unacceptable for my kids to come home single everyday begging me to switch schools, do better. read more

This skuu sucks, my biggest opps here, got a permanent scar on my face from a kid who was told a lie and the school did nothing. Got beaten multiple times, kids called me racial snow, and the teachers also did so. The staff don't want to do their job. The teachers wait until things escalate & your child has to defend themselves against other children before sending the initial problem child to the principals office. They tell your kids they don't have time to deal with them when they are being bullied and called racial slurs and having food thrown at them in the cafeteria. Kids are climbing over the stalls taking pictures of my child while he uses the toilet and posting it on social media and sending it around to other students in the school. Nobody does anything! Anytime they call me and ask me to come in all because my kid told a teacher "no" I show up immediately but when I call and ask to speak to the principal I get told he is in a meeting and they will give him a message to call me back but I don't get a call back all day, there's no way he was in a meeting all day. They got the right parent to his time because I will not let up when it comes to my concerns regarding my children! DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL. read more

absolutely horrible. special needs caregivers let a student throw up in front of other student TRYING TO EAT LUNCH. they caregivers did nothing but shrug instead of taking him outside, turning his back towards other students, or taking him to the nurse. the trash can bag with PUKE was sitting in the lunch for 20 minutes or longer until changed. SMELLED HORRIBLE. when students were seriously disturbed after seeing vomit ERRUPT out of a students mouth the caregivers did absolutely nothing instead of doing what they are paid to do. read more

AVALON MIDDLE SCHOOL IS TERRIBLE. As a mother of 2 kids that went, I will tell you that they come home hungry. They complain about how the teachers turn them away from breakfast, showed me fight videos and when I go up to the school and ask them about it, I feel very gaslit. The staff says everything going on are rumors but I've seen it, they just seem to shove it under the rug. My daughter failed a class that was too difficult, and requested a schedule change but they Turned her down. There was also I gun brought to the school I believe and they didn't feel safe going to school. My son got a referal for going out of the room to use the bathroom after being told no, even though it's illegal to hold a kid in class and not use the bathroom. He has every right to use the bathroom and cannot hold his bladder. I think the teachers are not doing their job the way they need to. Their job is to make kids want to learn but they're doing the opposite. My daughter got a writing assignment for having her phone in her pocket, powered off might I add, even though I told both my children to keep their phones in their pocket incase of emergency or school shooter, which apparently happens alot at avalon. And my daughter and son told me that they brought in drug dogs, and they smelled drugs. I'm not even surprised, and showed me a video of the school milk and I am very disappointed at avalon. If I send a child to a school, I expect them to take care of the children, not mistreat them. Do better Avalon. read more
