I go in to read to that class and I have seen them, and the children are killing them and disposing of them properly. Once again I say that this is a very good School. Most of the time you go to Avalon Middle School after that school, but like me when you moved during school and changed areas, (depending on where you moved) you would go to Sims Middle School or Hobs Middle School. Once again I say that this school is a Very good school and I would recommend this to a friend, however when you were enrolling your child, ask about the roach problem and tell them to take care of it. Please.

We are a military family and are so pleased with Berryhill Elementary! My child has some additional…read moreneeds and his teachers have been advocates for him when needed. His teachers (Mrs. Etheridge and Mrs. Wilson) have made our time at Berryhill so wonderful. Additionally, The school secretary has answered my many questions and knows my child by name; the teachers (at least the ones we have had) are very communicative and keep me in the loop with my child's needs as well as great moments to remember; the SRO is wonderful and I enjoy seeing him interact with the kids during drop off; and our MFLAC has gone above and beyond by checking on my child in the lunchroom to see why he wasn't eating his lunch. It truly takes a team to help guide children when you can't be there as a parent. Any issues or concerns that we've had have been addressed quickly and thoroughly- emails, calls, meetings, follow ups.... and if more information is needed, the appropriate staff is seeked for the right answer. And I have to add that I love seeing the school spirit at drop off and hearing music play as the kids come in! It makes school seem fun and welcoming which is a great way to begin the day!

As a Moving Military family, we move a lot. Our 3 children have been in 2 schools prior to…read moreBerryhill Elementary. Our family was stationed very close to BH. We were very happy and enjoyed the Southern hospitality. However it didn't take long for my children (Who love school) to dread going to sleep knowing they would only have to wake up with the anxious uneasy feeling. This school was a nightmare!! I had meetings with the teachers (zero help) I then called to speak to the Principle she did in fact return my call (after 3 attempts) I spoke with her and she was very kind hearted and sweet to my face. I realized I forgot to leave her our new address information so I went back only to hear her speak with a lady beside her office. This is what I heard. (MILITARY FAMILYS they're all the same I need some wine after all that wine) I was very embarrassed and now like my children I didn't ever want to go back. I pulled my children out and we never looked back. About 3-4 months later I seen Miss Chapman at a local wing restaurant and she was very intoxicated. Not that it's a crime. It was in fact a weekend. My neighbor had also informed me the other Principal was & very much still is in a band and was a party animal and that they were very close friends with him. My personal experience with this school was very emotionally draining. Please don't make choices on my review. I just want other military family's new to the area to expand there searches and also don't be "That Military Family" This school isn't for the soft hearted by any means.

I was initially very excited to be apart of this sports organization after reading there mission…read moreand purpose. Then things quickly changed when I learned how unprofessional and unhinged the coaching staff is. The coach would scream and intimidate his child in front of others, the Team Mom was very unprofessional and extremely rude towards parents and children. There were occasions were the coach would get so angry at the CHILDREN if they made a mistake( angry to the point where he was taking off and pulling at his hat and face turning red) as well yelling at the umpires and opposing team coaches. The team mom displayed the same behaviors, there were two separate occasions that I though she was going to fight the opposing teams base coach, as well as her just lacking courtesy, respect, or simple etiquette when texting team information. On top of all of this, the fields for practice were rarely available (despite them hosting actual teams from this park) My daughter enjoyed her teammates so that is the only reason I didn't make her quit. I would steer clear of this place!

Some students that do not meet behavior rules get punished, others do not. Football players and cheer leaders are glorified and are talked to by teachers as though they are best friends of 16 yrs. But when you don't have an athlete, you barely get a glance and are given the worst punishment to get. I'm a sophomore and can truthfully say the best thing for this school to is to burn. It's unsanitary and not safe. The teachers gossip about students as if it was middle school drama and it's pathetic at its height. Wouldn't recommend this school to anybody besides the demolition contractors.
