    I seriously do not even know where to begin with this so-called luxury apartment. We were beyond thrilled when we first moved in August of last year into this new building complex. Little could we have imagined what a nightmare this would turn into. If you read anything, read the next paragraph. It's an unsafe place to live. We're moving out in a month, and I wasn't going to write this review but this morning really took the last straw and I feel potential residents should know. Two cars were stolen from the building, and multiple cars were broken into overnight, including INSIDE THE GARAGE. The detectives investigating said they couldn't believe a building this size, especially by Avalon, a billion dollar corporation did not have cameras in the garage. Yes, cars were stolen from both inside and outside. I pay nearly $3000 a month to live here, Id like to at least think I don't have to worry about my car being stolen but I guess Avalon Boonton can't even manage to ensure that. To add insult to injury, please read how management responded to the situation, 7 HOURS LATER... by telling residents not to invite crime by leaving belongings in our cars, IN THE GARAGE, and by selecting a deductible we're comfortable with in case our stuff gets stolen and we have to file a claim. Management is incredibly ineffective. Issues are constantly brought up by residents and it's not until someone threatens legal action, or threatens to move out that anything gets done. There is absolutely no parking for all the vehicles in this insanely large complex. Cars are constantly parked in the loading/emergency areas because you will not find a parking spot past 8 pm. There's 4 visitor spots for 400+ apartments. Don't let them tell you there's plenty of parking. Even if you pay for an extra indoor spot, it's not even guaranteed because they couldn't be bothered to give everyone assigned spots. If it's a snow day, you may suddenly find yourself without a spot if everyone decides to park indoors. There's been multiple bug infestations in the building. The latest one of millipedes is so bad you can barely walk down the halls. Residents are killing hundreds in their apartments, and despite complaining for over two weeks, they're STILL all over the complex, and management has YET to even address it with residents. The building halls were vacuumed for the first two a month ago, after we had lived here for over 10 months. My dog got sick from the building dog park because it's turf, and they have never bothered to clean it. She got a very serious pneumonia infection that took her 2 months to get over, as well as giardia. The park smells like feces and pee as soon as you walk in. I spoke to management about it, as well as other residents, and they responded with "we treat the park like a public one, no need to clean it." Why do we pay $55 pet fee a month for then? On top of the $500 pet deposit? The package room where deliveries happen is TINY for a giant building, and it's constantly overflowing because management can't be bothered to put in place a notifying system for residents. Please please please find another place to live unless you like bugs, want to have your car stolen, and want to have your dog run around in an actual cesspool of germs.

    Let me first start by saying I was so excited to move to this brand new building. The apartment we moved into had never been lived in by anyone and was all brand new. My boyfriend and I loved all of the amenities and that the facility was so dog friendly. Fast forward to today and I'm sorry to say I cannot say enough bad things about our experience here. First, the butterfly matrix system that allows you and your visitors to enter the building was a nice idea but never worked. With this system you can create a pin for someone like a dog walker who can access the building. Well our system was down at least once a week for days at a time and we eventually lost our dog walker. They were tired of having to waste so much time entering the building. Next Covid happened, and I understand the unusual and hard circumstances that came with it. Our amenities have been shut down since March, we are now in July and I have paid our amenity fee for every month but have not been able to use any amenities. We only had amenities available to us for five months throughout our time here but I've had to pay more than that. Next, the millipedes in our apartment. These started in early June after the landscaper put down bad mulch. Since June I have had hundreds of millipedes in my apartment. Also since June I have been asking the office to supply us with materials that we can place under our doors to help alleviate the problem. We still have not received anything after a month of calling and then promising to bring us supplies. We have also asked for maintenance to fix the wide gaps under the entryway doors that our apartment is so close to and that has yet to be done also. We have had to live with a bug infestation for over a month now with no help from the leasing office. We paid to live in a luxury apartment complex however this is quite the opposite. I've lived many other places before this and NEVER had the issues that I have had here. The office will call you back and listen to you complain but will never actually do anything for you. Don't be fooled by the amenities and the smiling faces when you come for a tour, it is all a facade. This place has a lot of work to do when it comes to providing customer service and handling issues in a timely manner.

    I loved living here. I was a pet sitter and got lots of in house clients in so doing i got to know my neighbours and enjoyed the area.

All of our neighbors are friendly, there is no excessive noise during the day and it's so quiet and tranquil at night, and we never have a problem finding parking. The superintendent is always there when we need him (our refrigerator was leaking when we first moved in, and the day after we let him know, we came home from work to a brand new refrigerator already installed. We were so impressed!) Also, when it snows, the staff quickly clears the roads and walkways. It's a safe community (during the summer I like to go running around the complex at night) and so close to everything we need like grocery stores and restaurants. We live on the second floor and have not had any problems with any bugs at all. The stove/oven and bathroom fixtures could use updating, but everything is functional and serves its purpose. Also, I personally think it would be nice if we were allowed to have portable dishwashers because doing dishes by hand is no fun, but that's a minor setback. Overall, you will not find a better place to live in the area at this price. Also, cats are allowed (we have two!) Honestly, we would recommend these apartments to anyone who is looking for an affordable and nice place to call home!

They make sure that the property is clear of snow, working well into the night so that we can all get to work in the morning.     A family friend lived at this property for over 20 years and experienced what they believed to be…read morediscriminatory and harassing behavior related to a mental disability--a condition protected under fair housing laws. When management was contacted on their behalf, the property manager, John Coronato, stated on a recorded call that the company "doesn't do disabilities." The friend reported feeling pressured to drop a civil rights complaint concerning these events, under threat of eviction. As a result, they experienced significant emotional distress and financial strain, and their overall well-being was negatively affected. They were left feeling as though their disability led to unequal treatment compared to other tenants. During their time there, they also noticed lease violations by others--such as unauthorized subletting and other concerning behaviors--that appeared to go unaddressed by management. They also recall an instance where bicycles left out by tenants were collected and donated, which was later highlighted as a positive gesture by the property manager. This review reflects the firsthand experience of someone I know, along with a recorded interaction I personally participated in.

Very pleasant in 2012, managements and maintenance has had much turn over. I would go sometime else but unfortunately the rent is reasonable, you get what you pay for.

My father was killed so I have been dealing with that and put a hold on contacting them. I'm again writing to them now because some issues have come up and I needed this information. I now get an email back that they blocked my email and put it into SPAM !!! like what is going on!! This is how they deal with customer's issues!!! Now I have no idea how to contact them? Last year of Spring/Summer, Lakeview management towed my Black Honda CRV 1999 manual transmission because they weren't sure who it belonged to. However the car had a Lakeview Gardens sticker and was registered under Lakeview. I had to pay $700 to get my car back, which might not be a lot for many but is a lot for me. After getting the car back we reached out to management, Bill, Ken, Toni all of the above and no one reached out telling us the same thing they will get back to us or to refer to one of those names. It became a cycle of everyone telling us the same thing. Toni Ghomes ended up talking to Jonathan as Bill and Ken cursed at my boyfriend and talked in unprofessional ways. It wasn't a HE/SHE situation either...we genuinely wanted our money back because it was Lakeview that did not do their job. Toni Ghomes called and said she would get the money back to us as we didn't deserve that only after Jonathan put a review on google and Facebook is when they said they would help. To this day I have been trying to contact customer service management and Toni Ghomes about getting that $700 back and no response. I have emailed her 4 times and have called leaving a voicemail 5 times I also asked for my rent to atleast stay at $1625 if I renew my lease and no answer about that. I have been being helped by Takara and only Takara. SHE IS THE ONLY person a long with a couple maintence men that have been HELPFUL and UNDERSTANDING...not just promising but taking action. I wonder even after posting this review anyone will contact me. How can any company not respond and just ignore tenants when they have problems. WE pay rent here...
