It literally took the guy 5 minutes to take out the old motor, and I felt this was too much to pay so I called Craig W. Krueger and was told there was a $70 service call and about $150 to put a new motor in. I asked when could they be out, and I was given a 2 hour window. I then asked Avalon if they would match the price and he said: HE DOES NOT HAGGLE PRICES AND THAT IS WHAT HE CHARGES. He then got mad at me and grabbed my motor and put it on the driveway and left!! Ed from Craig W. Krueger was at my door in an hour and a half and did an awesome job of fixing my motor and blown transformer, and DID NOT TRY TO PRICE GOUGE ME!!!! Ed was at my house for 5+ hours. He then serviced my outside unit and now it blows nice ICE COLD AIR! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND AVALON TO ANYONE!!!THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT GET A SECOND OPINION ON PRICES!!!!

Two years ago I had a new HVAC system installed by Air Conditioning & Heating of Tampa Bay. They…read moredid a great job, gave me a great price and were professional and finished the job on time! Fast forward to February of 2024! I noticed that the HVAC unit did not seem to be working properly. I contacted Diane at AC & H of Tampa Bay and she set up an appointment to have one of their technicians inspect my HVAC unit. The next morning, Bobby thoroughly inspected my HVAC unit and upon completion he advised me he wanted to speak with the staff at the main office because of concerns he had regarding my condenser unit. Thirty minutes after he left my residence, Bobby called and advised me that the condenser unit needs to be replaced. The main office later called me to set up a date and time to have this work done. On the date and time promised, Jeff and Jose from the AC & H of Tampa Bay arrived with the new condenser unit and began the installation process. By the afternoon, my new condenser was up and running. Before Jeff left, he advised me he wanted to schedule a return visit when the outside temperature was warmer to insure the pressures in the unit were correct. He explained the work he did and reassured me that this defective unit was merely an adoration. I fully understand that on occasion any part in a mechanical device can fail. What I must point out was the professionalism displayed by this company from every single employee. They were kind, courtesies and were genuinely interested in getting my HVAC problem repaired. The labor was under an extended warranty I had with AC & H of Tampa Bay along with a warranty from the manufacturer of the condenser unit. All costs associated with the unit and its replacement labor costs were covered by that warranty! A warranty with Air Conditioning & Heating of Tampa Bay means exactly that, they stand by their word and you are covered! This is a family owned and run company and it shows. The are dedicated, professional and most of all HONEST! If you need your HVAC system repaired or a new one installed, these are the people to go to. I highly recommend this company and will continue to hire them when I have HVAC needs! GREAT JOB!

I believe it was Graig that came out, he fooled around with the electrical board and told me I was all set, only that after 1 hour the problem was back. He returned to look at the board again, and told me he didn't know what the problem was, handed me my money back and left. What the hell kind of service is that ???? I went elsewhere to another company who in 10 min had my AC blowing normally. So fast forward to today a "reputable" local company came out after my unit stopped working, compressor in unit shot (only 4 years old). The tech suggested the compressor should have a 5yr warranty and that I should call "AC by Speedy" to inquire on warranty. So I call this clown Craig and asked him to check on that for me, he said sure just give me the serial number and I will find out and call you right back ..., that was 5 hours ago. I tried several times to call him back ...., he won't answer or return my call. SHADY SHADY SHADY to say the least. Do not hire this company under any circumstance, I guarantee that if you do you will regret it ! Thanks for the call back Craig, some businessman you are. We have a baby, so naturally we panicked and frantically began calling HVAC businesses. I'm pretty sure that I have my information to at least 4 different answering services promising a "call back." I turned to Yelp and Garland had wonderful reviews and i always prefer to support small/local businesses. I called the number and was sent a text asking me to text my problem, as he was on a job. I sent a rambling text about what we were experiencing along with our address and he (Seth) said that he would stop by after he finished the current job. I remind you, again, that this is 6:30pm on a Sunday. Seth communicated that he was on the way and he showed up at 8:30pm. Lucky for us (as the dollar signs plagued our daydreams), it was a straightforward fix that cost us a fraction of what we were anticipating. Seth took the time to service our AC and educated us on what we should do/look for to avoid this in the future. He was super personable and we greatly appreciated his customer service and the fact that he did not feel the need to fear-monger us into purchasing something that is unnecessary like so many other companies would. He gained new customers for our future AC needs and we are happy to refer Garland to our neighbors and friends.

He sent another guy out to check out my system. Fast forward to this summer & I was having a tough time reaching him. I needed new ductwork & I needed the system reinstalled cause it was no longer level. I was in the process of getting estimates when I mentioned Garland air. Well I was talking to a tech when Seth starts texting me. He was on my phone... guess I had accidentally called him. He asked to come out & give me an estimate. I said ok. A few hours later his son showed up who was also very polite. Zeke & Connor crawled under the house & took pics & videos. This was a few days before Christmas. Seth showed up & reviewed everything then gave us an offer. We agreed & he was here at 9am the next morning. They worked all day & night & made sure everything was working great. The next day my husband crawled under the house (old house) to see how it looked. He said it looked very professional. The ducts were tied up off the ground (unlike previous installs) the huge system was completely clean & level. The only thing we had to wait for was the steel cover. The cover finally came in & Seth came to install it today. I was in a meeting so I missed him but he still did a great job. I wanted to update my review because I have had so many terrible AC companies out here. Most of them are unreliable & don't do such great work. The companies that are generally reliable are quite expensive. Garland Air does great work at reasonable prices. I am so glad I accidentally called him that day. I will forever recommend Garland Air. They aren't afraid to get dirty to finish the job. I had at least 5 others out here that gave me estimates for new ductwork yet they never actually looked at the ductwork. They even stayed until 10pm to make sure it was all perfect prior to leaving my house. If you're in need of a new AC company... I highly recommend Garland Air. Thanks again guys! Happy new year!

The agreement was we bought the supplies, and paid him labor. We agreed on $2000.00 for the labor. When he took the deposit, which was 35% = $700, he kept telling us that his merchant account got kicked back and kept coming to us 2 more times to get the same $700 deposit. He told us that the job would be scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Thursday came and he didn't do any work. On Friday, he didn't show up until 1pm, worked till midnight. Saturday he came to work half day and still did not get it done. To date, 8/8/2024, he has been ghosting us since! We made several attempts to request him to report to work but were unsuccessful. Upon calling the building permit department, we found that the permit had been filed but not paid while we had already paid a 35% deposit for the company to pull the permit and to start the work. We then found out that he charged the deposit 3 times. Our credit card had 3 different transactions $2121 in total which he lied and told us that the merchant account had a problem, needed to rerun the deposit transaction! Not only that he added a few more installation supplies and took them with him, never return our supplies which cost us $241.31 We already reported him to the FL licensing board and disputed our credit card.
