WOW. This little…read morerestaurant in la clusaz has great atmosphere, music and decor. We had a fixed menu as it was a business dinner but it was spectacular. Froie gras as an appetizer, with toasted bread, hummus and fried onions. It was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Main course of beef tenderloin. Did they ask how I wanted it cooked, no, because everyone should have their beef medium rare. Cooked perfectly tender, and well seasoned once again. Served on a bed of potato and onion and mushroom mixture. It was delicious. Finishing up was what was termed 'chocolate pie'. But this was not an American chocolate pie. A wonderful chocolate mousse filled a tasty, crispy pastry shell accompanied by a scoop of pear ice cream. Could not have been better. Interestingly, the waitstaff was quite casual. Our server had on shorts and a nice shirt. Was very attentive and friendly, and spoke English very well. If you are here in the summer, or skiing in the winter, check it out, you won't be disappointed. it has a great outdoor seating area.

I agree with signpenn, london. We went there for New Year's Eve and they were still serving food at…read more3am as they couldn't get their act together. This is a similar situation though to other restaurants in la Clusaz (particularly l'Arbe, l'Ourson, Hugo, l'Outa) - the owners/proprietors think they are doing you a favour by serving you. However, us clients are doing them a favour by frequenting their restaurants (although I have stopped due to bad service, bad food and high prices).

Service is fast, attentive, and genuinely caring. The menu is well thought-out, and every dish is worth trying. In the photos, you can see beautifully presented plates: a traditional raclette served with boiled potatoes, crisp salad, and a generous selection of cold cuts; a charcuterie board with various cured meats, cornichons, and creamy cheese portions; and another view of the raclette with its golden, bubbling cheese. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with great attention to detail. Highly recommended for both the quality of the food and the warmth of the service.

Normally I'd avoid the Old Town area like the seafood salad at a truck stop in western Oklahoma…read more But a local colleague recommended this place for typical Savoyard fare, and how could we pass that up? We should have trusted those truck stop instincts. The food was very unimpressive and typical of a tourist trap. The chicken with Reblochon sauce was over cooked with such a vengeance that even a hungry dog would have been challenged to choke it down. None of us could manage more than a partial feat in that regard. Two of us had the chicken and they were equally indestructible. The other had the savoyard place which consisted of local hams and cheeses. It was fine, but not remarkable. The desserts were also fairly forgettable. This place isn't the worst you'll have, but I'd only go if you're really hungry, it's late and you're trapped in Old Town. Hopefully that won't happen.

I ate here at the end of a business trip to Annecy. The rest of the week I was escorted by locals…read moreand had some fantastic meals. I found this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It was at the bottom of my five dinners that week, but it was still ok. I had the warm goat cheese salad (the goat cheese was outstanding), salmon in parchment (it was in TIN FOIL) and a lame "white cheese" dessert. I didn't really know what white cheese was, so my bad on that one. By the way, I still don't know what white cheese is... They had a pretty good English menu with translations of food items beyond what they were offering, which was pretty helpful. The people serving me were friendly, the girl didn't speak English but the guy did. I'm working on my French for next time, but they catered as best as I could ask to non-French speaking clientele. With all the restaurants in Annecy, I probably won't be back, but it was a fair meal for the price.
