I stopped in the Wayland Autozone to exchange an oil filter. I was trying to match one up (didn't want to pay the high price for the brand name filter for my tractor) explained to the worker behind the desk, that we had received the incorrect one and asked if he could help me get the correct one. I could not get his name since he and another shirt partially covering his name tag but could see that it said manager. He was extremely rude and told me that he could help me as long as nobody else came into the store, I told him that I could wait, he said that's not the issue and there we 2 other places to go in town for this type of thing. I explained to him that I was the only one in the store, besides one additional customer that another employee was assisting. He continued in his "huff" attitude, so I told him I could go somewhere else if he didn't want to take the time to help me. I have lived in the area for many years and have been a loyal customer of this company for the purchase of car parts, oil, wax, oil dri etc. I just found it incredible that the "manager" who should lead by example would treat a customer this way, especially since the entire transaction took about 5 minutes. I would not recommend this location to anyone until they install a new manager, I plan to go to another Autozone for now. Lastly, it's also sad that so many people that could do this job with professionalism are not working at this time due to Covid 19, this transaction took place on Wednesday May 13, 2020. read more
