Short version: This store sold me the wrong part, denied any part of it (EVEN THOUGH I HAD A…read moreLICENSED MECHANIC WITH ME), which resulted in a loss of 1 day of my life, because the part had to be ordered, and I was stranded in Toole, on a road trip. The manager denied any wrongdoing and offered me a 20% discount on the part even though I'd just spent $350 (lol, their markup is around 30-40% on everything in the store!) DO NOT TRUST ASSOCIATES, GIVE THEM A PART NUMBER YOURSELF AND DO NOT ASK THEM WHAT YOU NEED. I almost took my car to the junkyard because of this! The manager BLAMED ME for the problem and the district manager did not return my calls. Poor customer service. Long version: Late last month I purchased a CV axle at your store in Tooele Utah. The sales agent sold me and my licensed mechanic (who was with me at the time of purchase) the wrong part. He ordered an automatic transmission part instead of manual. The mechanic installed the wrong part and wasted labor. The part caused my car to not go into gear. The mechanic stated that the tow truck must have destroyed me transmission (car was towed there). The mechanic left, and I researched, and found out that the wrong part was sold to me. The store ordered the correct part and the mechanic had me on my way. I was driving cross country when this happened, and I lost an entire day of travel due to the mishap. I purchased $330 worth of merchandise that day, and asked for a refund of whatever profit you made on the deal due to the problem. The store manager stated he would only refund $20 of the part that I bought, which I didn't think was a reasonable offer. He also became defensive of the sales associate. Who in their right mind would tell a sales associate they have an automatic transmission when they have a manual ? Especially since I had a bonded and certified repairman with me. I think I am due some money back. I ended up returning the second CV axle as well because the seal was broken from installing the wrong part the first time, which costed me $200 in labor at another shop! So, right now we are at me spending $200 there after the returns. I know car part stores hand out 10% discounts to many. I've left two messages, one in person, and one on the phone, with the district manager of Toole, UT, which have gone ignored and unreturned.

When I attempted to exchange the $26 filter the dark haired woman at the counter snidely said "you can't return that". When I asked why not, she said it was because there was some oil on the box. Which there was. She then proceeded to rudely ask me "would you wanna buy a box w/ oil on it?" I said calmly that had the correct filter been sold in the first place that this would be a non issue. She refused to help. I informed her that my long time businesses ended here and now. I went on over to autozone and got great service and the same filter for $6. No wonder Napa is dying the slow death.

The only reason I give 4 out of 5 stars is because I went there once to get a Portably Battery Jumper and bought A Solar Battery Charger (the guy said it would jump start the battery when MY vehicle breaks down...
