I always use Autozone because I have always received good service up in Ohio where I'm from. I moved to Knoxville for college two years ago and since then I can't say the same is true, especially about my experience today. I walked in to buy some brake pads. First, there were no customers in the store but me and three employees and none of them talked to me at all until I said something after standing there for a second waiting. I say to the older guy at the cash register that I need to buy some brake pads and immediately (maybe its because of the way I look, or maybe its how he treats all people) he starts treating me like I'm stupid. I realize I'm not great with cars. Sorry I'm not a mechanic like you? Long story short, the guy and the girl who were standing there were rude, offered me no help even though they had no other customers to tend to, and in turn lost my business. I drove down the street to Advanced Auto Parts (which was closer to my house in the first place, I just wanted to continue giving Autozone my business) and got great service from a guy there instead. I am a recently married, young college student who just recently started my own business. Rule #1 to keep your customers coming back? Don't treat them like crap. read more
