One month ago I found my battery dead after shopping. My son was able to jump it so I headed to the nearest AutoZone knowing they would install a new one. The salesman said he only had a couple of them I could choose from so I opted for the better of the two. I paid and then waited to have it installed. I must say, I was amazed at how much problem the tech was having but tried not to be "over his shoulder" to add to the tension he was obviously feeling. I went behind the car and continued to wait. Finally when it seemed he was almost done, I went back up front again. He barely put the cover back on & told me to start it....which it did. I then went home & reattached the battery cover myself. Fast forward to today, I had an appt. with my dealer for routine maintenance. Went to start my car & the battery is dead again! Called my son, got it jumped & headed for my appt. I told them that now in addition to my maintenance, I needed the battery checked. They called me out to the shop to show me that the "new battery" I had "purchased" was in fact, not new. but the original manufacturer battery. Immediately after I left there, I went to AutoZone. I showed them their receipt & today's for a replacement. I did get my money back but then asked the salesman to come to my car. I asked him to look at the receipt again (and at the brand name I was supposedly sold) and at the battery my dealership removed. Let's just say he was speechless! Now I asked him to show me who had done this (even though I was pretty sure it was him). He took his time playing on the computer and then admitted he had done the install. After a lot of muttering about he must have confused the 2 batteries and relating the story to another employee, I just found the whole thing unbelievable. I'm sorry, I know this is long. And I don't write negative reviews - I just found the whole explanation unacceptable! read more
