Other than that I would of given it no stars if I could !!!! Because baby let me tell you the other staff especially "Kyle" the tall skinny African American gentleman, was mean as I don't know what. He didn't even want to help me , he kept referring me to a mechanic and was very rude to the point I felt embarrassed to have even asked for help. I will not be back at this location and I will be writing an email to the store manager as to hire better staff, that are patient like the young gentleman Kaliec. I bought a car battery here and it died within a year. When I went to replace it, they told me I already returned it and even showed me on the computer that the transaction took place. Thankfully- since the battery was there in my car, I told them to check if it's the same battery. They checked the numbers on it and it was the same battery i bought. The same exact thing happened to my brother at this location. They replaced it when they realized there was an error, but...looks like some funny business going on with someone processing returns and taking the money. read more

Short story: Went here to get a bulb and they tried selling me a whole tail light assembly, which doesn't even come with the bulbs. Long story: These people are not as knowledgeable as you would think which is fine, I'm not expecting them to know everything. However, I would expect that if they are not sure about something to just say so and to not make up an answer. I was getting a brake light warning on an old car I got, figured one of the bulbs were out. I changed the bulbs in the back and still got the warning, so I moved to the tail light to check. I unscrewed the taillight assembly only to find that all the bulbs were missing. I guess the previous owner removed them to replace them and maybe did not get the chance or couldn't figure it out. Since there were no bulbs I did not know what they looked like so I tried some that I had and they worked and I looked up others until there was one left. I have an Audi 07 Q7 and in the taillight there is 5 or 6 bulbs. So I've now changed all but one and I figured I'll go to autozone for help. I asked them if they were able to tell me what that bulb was, they could not. I asked that maybe if they looked at the connector the bulb is screwed into they would know but they said they would not be able to tell that way. My predicament was that there was no bulb so there was nothing to reference. I moved my car to the front so that I could show them the location of the bulb I need and I point to the corner bulb. In the end they said to me that I needed to replace the entire assembly. I said ok and walked away and went to advance auto parts. I was able to look at the bulbs and from just looking at the end of the bulb, the part you screw in I knew which would fit. Got it right the first time. At the time I wasn't great with cars, if it wasn't the fact that I had unscrewed the assembly prior, I would have believed them. I would have replaced it. That assembly is almost $300. And guess what? It still doesn't come with the bulbs. I would have purchased something that didn't have the very thing I needed. So when you go here for advice just know it's just a store with parts. Do your research about the parts you need and go get them if you do wish to by from here. But when they give you advice take that with a grain of salt. read more

The store manager was very helpful. I had to replace my busted H1v light on my Chrysler Pacifica. It had to be special ordered but got it after a day. The store manager said they don't install headlights like those but will try. He didn't have to do the job but tried it anyway. And it worked. My car was flooded by Hurricane Ida. Almost impossible to get a rental car. Using my mother's 2014 Buick with 17k miles on it. This after the battery died. Called roadside assistance (who came an hour late and tried to sell me a new battery for $120 more than autozone). While waiting I called Autozone and the gentleman was polite and professional. He told me that they are open until 10pm and they will install the battery for me and the cost was reasonable. When roadside assistance came they tried to sell me a battery again. They said that autozone couldn't be that cheap. So I called back autozone and they confirmed the price and told me that the price did not include sales tax. I told the gentleman I did not think it did. I went over to autozone. When I got there they told me to park in front and not in pathmark shopping center lot. They told me that they were replacing the battery so it was ok to turn off the ignition. FYI -there was a guy that said that the guys in auto zone don't know how to install the battery but he does for $20. I thanked him and went to the front (by the way if he knew how to install a battery he would be working at autozone). I went inside and paid for the battery snd it took about five minutes for the guy to come out and install the battery. Everyone was nice polite and professional (even the security guards). i usually visit this auto zone in mount vernon cause it's never crowded and it's well stocked with all the stuff you need for your car from parts , antifreeze , motor oils , wiper blades and more . i picked up some antifreeze on sale and wiper blades via the bosh brand and got me a easy to use car jack cause when it comes to changing flat tires i am clueless. the shelves are well stocked and organized and if i need assistance it's available with no problem . the location is not in a desirable area at night but during the day it's fine and the parking lot is well lite. they do minor work like wiper blade replacement , bulbs replacement and battery exchange but please tip the dudes cause a few folks don't and that's not cool . 3.5 stars on my yelp meter . read more

Terrible customer service. I went to this location today to purchase a light bulb for my headlight. Upon my arrival to the store, two employees were engaged in conversation, looked at me and continued speaking to each other. No one greeted or asked if I needed help. After purchasing the lightbulb the employee did offer to install it (well, after I asked). He took one look at my car and said he would get a screwdriver and come back. I literally stood outside for twenty minutes waiting for him to return. I went into the store to look for him and he was helping another customer and said "Oh, I'll be right there." After waiting another ten minutes I decided to leave. The neighborhood mechanic looked more interested in helping me than the employees. Though I understand that installing the bulb would have been a courtesy, another courtesy would have been for him to tell me he was busy or he could not do it. Very disappointed in my experience.
