First time at this AutoZone normally I go to the AutoZone in Kaimuki located on Waialae Ave. Since I was in the Kapolei area needed to buy some air filter and inside cabin filter . I stopped by this AutoZone located next door to Dunkin' Donuts in the Kapolei Commons shopping center . Service was great I was looking for the number of the filter I couldn't find but the counter person went in the back and brought the correct one out . Prices here are normally higher than most places . I like to get my filters at Walmart although they're always sold out . I went there today to replace my wipers it was pouring out and they weren't working. Well went into the store asked for help was told what size my wipers were went outside. Tried to take the old ones off had a hard time. The girl behind the counter came out told me to put my car into service mode which I had no idea how to do that. I came back in and told her I wanted to make sure that the wipers fit so can I install them? She told me I had to purchase them first and offered no further help to me whatsoever. Horrible customer service from the girl who usually works there I stopped in because my windshield wiper came off while I was washing it and I couldn't put it back on I wasn't sure if I needed a new one just someone to help me put it back on They weren't busy at all, but she said they couldn't look at it unless I bought the wiper there I do a lot of business there, but I did not buy the wiper there as it came with the car when I bought it So I left and brought it to Reilly Auto parts. Someone came out immediately to look at it and told me a little clip came off and they had one for me and put it on in a few minutes with no charge, and I never shopped there AutoZone has lost me as a customer and now I know where to go and it's definitely not AZone. read more

AWFUL SERVICE! I bought a car battery yesterday and my car still didn't work. (Turns out it was the alternator) so I tried to return it but the snotty lady at the register rolled her eyes as she went to get a manager. (I called ahead to ask about the return policy and the guy I spoke to said to bring it in and they will test the battery.) The "manager" came back and told us they won't take it back because it's used. When we got there, both ladies refused. My husband and I explained we just bought it yesterday and my car still won't start. It's not used. She replies, "doesn't matter. We're not taking it back. THEY WOULDN'T EVEN TEST IT! Pretty terrible experience here. They said online that an item was in stock, so my husband went to get it. They wasted his time as the cashier and manager looked for it. Then they said they were going to have it delivered in a few hours from Ewa. Husband said he would go to the other location to pick up the item. Then he was charged at the other location for the part a 2nd time. We had to check our credit card to see if we were refunded. We were not. When we called, they made us go in to get a refund for a part that they sold us and did not give. Ridiculous. Don't say you have an item in stock if you don't. Wasted gas and time. If we didn't check the credit card, we would have lost almost $200 for the lie. read more

Customer service needs a major upgrade. Came in to verify if my battery was what was wrong with my car, waited in line for 15 mins just to ask for assistance and was told to go open my hood and wait for someone to come out and check it. I took my daughter's van to have the battery checked out to see if it needed to be replaced because Servco in Waipahu said she needs a new battery. I just want to say that I recommend 10 stars for Joona.She not only checked the battery but also the alternator and starter solenoid all within 10 minutes of arriving there. When it comes to cars and pretty much anything mechanical, I'm about as useful as a condom with holes in it. As luck would have it, both of my key fobs died within days of each other. I stopped in after work and was greeted immediately and had no wait time since the customer before me was paying for their items. The woman behind the counter opened my fobs and figured out the battery type and then likely looked at the confusion on my face and had mercy and changed the batteries for me. This may seem like a little thing but my uselessness has not been appreciated in the past. When I finally figure out how to change my air filter I'm sure I'll end up here too all while praying I don't accidentally make my car explode. read more

Kapolei branch workers customer service is the worse I've ever experienced they have no consideration and make their customers wait and when they are helping and a phone ring they leave you there and walk away and answers the phone and just leaves you there waiting then when they finally hang up they walk away and starts talking to each other making you wait while the line of customers line up for help and to make purchases and it happens all the time I go there. So tired and disgusted I'll never go there again. I love Autizone!! Each time I've gone there, I get excellent customer service and I am able to get questions answered. Most of all I've saved so much money by being able to purchase everything I need to get the right parts for my vehicles. There's an autozone in what seems like each city. That makes it very convenient. I've had to return items before and though I had lost the receipt, since I had it sent the receipt to both my email & got a paper receipt ~ it made it super easy, no problems at all. So updated this review. Well called and talked to the manager, he told me to come at 9-10am he would be in. When I went in he wasn't even there what a lie! So this other woman helped me I think she might have been a leader or someone higher then a regular helper cause she was dressed differently. She told me where to find the color number on my car and she also helped me by giving me a refund and ask who was the person that barely helped me and apologized for that person. Horrible customer service. Needed help looking for a replacement headlight bulb. I stood in line behind one other customer. Two cashiers, one helping a customer at the counter and the other on the phone. Initially it seem as though they were having problems with the registers. It was my turn to the counter. I gave my car information. Cameron looked it up on the computer. He replied, "H11, down this isle", as I walked down the aisle looking at the shelf, he tells me "more down". Disappointed I wasn't shown down the aisle as there was no one else in line, which lead me to think I was just a bother. I found "H11" but there was two different types. I grabbed them both. Took it to the counter. I asked Cameron there's two types which one should I buy? Cameron replies "it's personal preference". Cameron didn't offer to explain the difference or offer any help. Knowledgeable employees got me the right product in the last minute. In short my blinkers were too fast and needed to be fixed. My driver instructor rejected my vehicle for my test and needed to get it fixed in 20 minutes. Thankfully we just had to give the model # and was given the item within 30seconds. For the store in Bel Air, Maryland off of Baltimore Pike: I was in the store today looking to buy 5qt of oil and an oil filter and get some brake pads. I went up to check out and ask for brake pads and I was rung up by the rudest employee. I was asking her a question about oil and all she wanted to tell me was that I was wrong for using mobile1. I'm the customer and I get to choose my own oil. Her name was Vanessa. Her name badge said she was the commercial sales manager. After telling me I was wrong she proceeded to be rude and disrespectful. She also tried to flirt with me when I walked up to the counter. I had to jumpstart my car to bring it to AutoZone in Kapolei. The only reason I went to one farther away from where I live is because it received better reviews than other locations. Unfortunately, when I came in to ask if I could have my battery tested, the person said they would get a manager. Another person came up and we asked her if we could have our battery tested. She asked if it was in the car and we said yes. Then they began looking around behind the counter. After looking for a bit, she says that they can't find their portable tester and that we would have to take the battery out of the car. Then, proceeded to direct us to another location because, she says, 'they are the only location they know that has a working tester.' Just a few words of advice, if you have to go to this location for battery services, please be sure that you bring the battery in or your own tools to remove it from your vehicle since they didn't even offer to help us with that even after we said we had to jumpstart our car to get there. Better yet, call ahead to make sure they have someone who can actually help you. read more

All the items are in the right place, neat and orderly. All the surfaces look wiped down. All the employees are wearing masks that cover their mouths and their noses. As an added bonus there's hand sanitizer At the registers. Second, stock. They actually have stock. No one will have every odd part that only you need. But, they have all the stuff you would normally come across needing. Can't find it yourself? Someone will happily help you look for it or look it up in their database. Third, Customer Service. The sun was out, not a hint of rain, and nothing asked for by me. Add that together and what do you get? That's right, a random Autozone employee holding the door for me to enter; a "Can I help you find something," from someone else; a "I can ring you up over here," and a smile. Five stars because they care about YOU. That is rare recently, and it's nice to be reminded that there are decent people out there. I have been a member of autozone since high school and I'm in late 20s. Needless to say that I'm a loyal customer of this establishment. There are plenty of autozones in different states. I really don't know the whole point structure of autzone and that is a little annoying ,but I am always glad to get help from the guys at the establishment. They are knowledge and can literally answer any question that you throw at them! If you have questions ladies and gents check out autozone. I have had nothing but positive experiences. One example: the battery of my vehicle was starting to corrode, and the employee came out with the required tools/cleaning spray , to check the life and clean the corrosion from my battery. Amber was my savior this morning!! I stalled at Target, everything completely shut off. I opened the hood and saw my positive battery connector was loose. I banged down on the connector and got her to start just long enough to get to the other end of the parking lot. I went in and asked for a battery test and Amber saw that all my connectors were loose, including the bracket that holds the battery down. We just visited the new AutoZone that is across from Down to Earth and Dunkin Donuts. The store is clean and the selection is amazing, especially compared to Napa Auto Parts, which was the only option in Kapolei until now. The prices are higher than buying online (through Amazon) though it is worth it for the convenience. We will be back. Sidenote...I love the tile murals on the outside of the building. read more
