After paying over $900 to resolve issue, after service was provided, within 3 days, the engine light came on again. After returning car to resolve issue, they wanted another $400+ dollars with no guarantee that the same issue would be resolved. I instead picked up the car to take to another mechanic that we trust to fix the issue at a reasonable cost. Will never go to this shop again and do not recommend it for anyone else.

I have utilized many different auto repair shops over a course of several decades, with rather…read moremixed results. Some have been competent but many have either done poor work and/or overcharged or suggested unnecessary repairs. Valyant Auto is an outstanding shop. They are honest, have reasonable prices and do excellent work. They are also friendly and take the time to clearly explain what work you need, or don't actually need. This auto repair shop is a breath of fresh air and I highly recommend it!

Yesterday morning I spent time with my granddaughters in Woodstock NY, attended my Parkinson's…read moreboxing class in Kingston and headed back to my home in the Adirondacks in my electric car. I knew I would need to charge up somewhere. I hooked up to a station near my class and the charger didn't work but I knew I could make it to the Capitol Region rest area on the Thruway so I wasn't concerned. Unfortunately, none of the rest area's chargers were working, either, so I searched for the nearest chargers. I had about 25 miles left on my car but on my charger app I found chargers that work for my car 13 miles away at Crossroads Ford. I called them and spoke to someone who assured me they had the chargers, that I didn't have to have a Ford to use them and that they were in the parking lot so even if the business closed I could use them. He even said they had a fast charger but from my app I could see that the connector for that charger didn't work for my Leaf. I pulled into Crossroads with 12 miles left and spend the next hour trying to make any of the four chargers work: making phone calls to the charger company, downloading the app, etc. When we determined that the four chargers were down for good, I went into the dealership. I had noticed that they had a charger plugged into a car in the service area. I asked the manager if I could use that charger for 20 minutes to get enough of a charge to make it back to the Thruway and get to the Stewarts in Latham where I knew they had a fast charger - and then I could get home. The manager said no. I begged him to just let me use it for 20 minutes and he refused. I went out to my car and all I could think to do was call a tow truck and have my car towed the 20 miles to Latham to the Stewarts, which is what I did. My trip home, which usually takes 3.5 hours including a charge, took me 7 hours and the expense of a tow. The manager at Crossroads could have helped me and for no apparent reason, cruelly refused to let me charge for 20 minutes - and this is after the Crossroads representative I talked to on the phone gave me misleading information about working chargers. No explanation, no apology, no concern for my situation - really cruel, actually. I have no idea about Crossroad's sales or service but the management is seriously lacking in human kindness. I think the character of a company's employees reflects the company as a whole and Crossroads is seriously lacking.

We were shopping in the area that day and checked with Walmart Auto Center first but they said they were booked until the following week. Anthony, the service manager was friendly and explained everything that was included with the pricing (road hazard, rotation etc.). This is an auto shop so nothing super fancy, the waiting room can use an upgrade but surprisingly the bathroom was in decent shape. I believe the four tires came to just about $460. My sister was happy to have new tires and our group was happy because we were able to get all the work done while shopping in the area. Great Job Anthony and the Mavis Tire team!
