This is a known issue - this generation truck HATES aftermarket security systems, and it was causing all kinds of problems, so we asked Toads to remove it. He was familiar with this issue, also said he'd look at the starter, and would let us know. I don't know what time he starts work, but he called us to pick up our truck at lunchtime Monday (we dropped it off Sunday night.) Let me tell you, the cost was BEYOND reasonable. If you break down near this money hungry mechanic shop do yourself a favor and just get your…read morevehicle towed elsewhere. first they qouted us a price of $1300 for labor on an engine replacement. We agreed, they gave us an estimated wait time of about a week. They had our car for two weeks and didnt even tell us they were finished. We found out when we called to check on the status and they told yes they were finished and that our balance was $4,200. I was baffled, especially since I provided my own engine and $4,200 was the qoute they gave us if they provided the engine. The unhelpful owner, Randy I believe, said his workers spent extra time replacing the engine and some other crappy excuse that didnt add up to an almost $3000 increase. Bear in mind we arent from NY, we were on a trip from MD to VT when our timing belt snapped and by time they were done the repairs we were back in MD. We got a rental car and drove almost 500 miles to see why we had to pay such an increase, and he said his employees shouldnt have qouted us such a low price ($1,300 is definitely not cheap especially when you're not providing the parts and i get no warranty). He threatened to sell our car if we didnt pay up. After about 45mins of begging and debating we were able to get him to come down to $3200, which is still an overpayment. We drove to his shop (from MD again) a week later with the payment. After leaving with our car we got a call from the receptionist Melissa (the same person who wrote their one and only fake review on here, im not surprised). She said we still owe a balance of $75 and asked would we like her to charge our card we had on file. when we asked what it was for she said the towing costs to the shop. we laughed in disbelief because we sat stranded at a gas station where we broke down till we found our own tow and paid him $90 out of our own pocket. I told her kiss my back side, hung up on her and cancelled my card to prevent any funny business on my card. IDK about their oil services but these people will rip you a new asshole over mechanic work; very untrustworthy and their word just like their qoutes on paper mean nothing. $3200 in labor with no warranty and the car still had issues from them not bolting in the exhaust system correctly. literal highway robbery, beware
