I cannot recommend the Burt Brothers location on Rasmussen Rd. in Park City after an experience…read morethat went beyond poor customer service and became a serious safety issue. I arrived at 7:55 a.m. as the first customer for four new tires and an oil change and wasn't checked out until 10:23 a.m. I had just gotten off work at 7 a.m. and had mentioned this when scheduling and again when I arrived. I kept two of my old tires because they still had plenty of tread. Despite that, I was charged disposal fees for all four tires, and getting the incorrect charges refunded became an unnecessary hassle. But here's the part that really matters: I bought TWO brand-new ratchet straps and specifically asked Burt Brothers employees to secure the two tires I was keeping to the roof of my SUV. They used ONE strap to secure BOTH tires. After leaving the store, ONE OF THE TIRES FLEW OFF MY SUV AND INTO THE ROADWAY while I was driving. Thank God it didn't hit another vehicle or cause an accident. I was able to pull over and retrieve it, but a full-size tire flying into traffic could have caused a serious accident or injury. I immediately called the store and told Joe I needed to speak with a manager because a tire they had secured had just flown off my moving vehicle. I was told the manager was busy and couldn't be interrupted. I eventually spoke with manager Greg. While he apologized and said he'd speak with the employee, I felt he spent too much of the conversation shifting responsibility toward me rather than acknowledging the seriousness of what had happened. I specifically asked THEIR employees to secure the tires, provided TWO brand-new straps, and trusted that a professional tire shop would know how to safely secure them. Had I known otherwise, I would have done it myself. I spent nearly $700 and left dealing with an incorrect charge, poor customer service and, most importantly, a potentially dangerous safety failure. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. When a customer calls to report that a tire your employee secured just flew off a moving vehicle, that should be treated as an urgent safety concern--not an inconvenience. I'm extremely thankful nobody was hurt. I won't be returning to this location.

I asked him if some tires I was looking at online were in stock. He retorted, "What does it say? If it says in stock they're in stock." I was like, "Oh... okay... I think I'll try your Lindon location,"and left. Then I stopped at the Lindon store and met Jonathan (Jony). Dude might be the best sales person I've ever met. Took his time to explain everything. Verified that the tires I had been looking at were, in fact, NOT in stock in Lindon or Orem (as opposed to what the website said) and recommended some alternatives that were in stock. Took time to come look at my truck, brought the tire out to look at next to my truck, and found a discount for me to boot! We'll see how the tires ride and wear, but so far I'm very pleased with the value. And he saved me $900 on a set of tires over Les Schwab.

Asked for estimates for work and they replied in a timely manner. Their estimates in total were approx $400 over estimates received from two other shops -- one in expensive San Diego. I asked if they would consider scrubbing the budget to see if they might be more in line with other estimates for the same work. They did not reply. Resent the request a few days later -- and no reply again. I'm sure they're busy enough and don't need my business now or ever; and that's ok. Consider this an fyi.
