I absolutely regret buying my Jeep from Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls as well as…read morepurchasing the extended warranty from them. Extended warranties are definitely necessary but save yourself the headache and hassle, especially if you're not buying a Hyundai and just purchase an extended warranty from a third party. Since I bought the warranty from Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls I have to have my vehicle serviced there. I do have the option of requesting it be seen somewhere else, but then they have to approve it (which they typically do; it just adds an extra layer). The warranty company, Advantage Warranty Services, only pays the lowest price to other dealerships, which means I'm responsible for my deductible and the difference in price from what the dealership is charging and what the warranty agrees to pay them. I went to a smaller repair shop and had $4,000 worth of work done which cost me my $200 deductible plus another $250 to cover the difference. I went to an actual Jeep dealership, and the cost of the work was roughly $2,200. They charged me roughly $700 including my deductible because their labor rates and other costs were higher. If you buy an extended warranty through a third party, they match whatever rate the shop has without any further hassle. The extended warranty I purchased though the dealership is able to undercut other shops by claiming the price they pay is based on the "market rate of the area". I purchased an extended warranty so I wouldn't have to incur the enormous repair costs associated with owning a vehicle. However, Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls consistently tells me that I have a Jeep and they're Hyundai so I should take my Jeep to a Jeep dealer. Obviously, none of this was explained to me when I purchased my vehicle, or when they strongly suggested the warranty to accompany it. I have the highest-level coverage for the extended warranty, but that doesn't mean anything because as I'm constantly told by Mitch, the supervisor of the service center, they're Hyundai, so there's a lot they don't know about Jeep. They are marketing themselves as a full-service center that can work on all vehicles, but when you question them about what is going on with your vehicle that isn't a Hyundai, they fall back on they're a Hyundai dealer. Since Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls sells extended warranties through Advantage Warranty Services, there is a lot of tiebacks and advantages for both of these companies which is why I am not charged any extra fees and am only responsible for my deductible when I have my Jeep serviced at Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls. Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls has told me multiple times to take my Jeep to Jeep. When I explain that I am charged extra when I go somewhere other than to Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls where I purchased the warranty though they simply repeat they're not Jeep and my Jeep needs to be programmed or have diagnostics ran with Jeep's system. I have asked if I take my Jeep to Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls and their system isn't capable of running a full diagnostic despite advertising themselves as a full-service center, than shouldn't they be responsible for sending my Jeep to Jeep? I was told the only thing they would do is give permission for my Jeep to be serviced somewhere else. My other MAJOR concern with this dealership is that it takes several weeks to get your vehicle serviced and even when you call the service center and ask for a call back to ask questions, they will not call you back. I've called several days in a row and even said I know they're not going to call me back and after being assured they will make sure I get a call back, I still don't and end up having to either go in person or wait several weeks until I take my vehicle in. I cannot say enough how disappointed I am with everything associated with Ron Marhofer Hyundai of Cuyahoga Falls. Save yourself the hassle and headache and just go somewhere else.
