Walked in and was greeted pleasantly. I explained what I needed, got my wiper blades paid for and installed.

I'll never walk thru the doors of their pathetic failing business again. I would NOT suggest working for the Bowman Murray Fulk Group to an enemy. One rep was on the phone before I walked in and the other came out of the back to answer not one but 3 calls while I was standing there. Just plain stupid. So I walked out. Went home and called them and got a rep right away. But, when I gave them my information he stated that they have no part listed. Really! A bushing that was used on GM cars from 1964 through 1988 and this guy can't find the part. So I hung us and got on Amazon. In 1 minute I found the part and ordered it. Downside is I have to wait 3 days for delivery. How is it that Amazon has many, many different products and categories and is able to do a great job of fulfilling orders where NAPA has one category (auto parts) and can't find a simple bushing? What else do you have to do NAPA besides find auto parts? And this is not the first time I have had issues with this store. I have in the past called different NAPA stores out of my area to obtain a part number my local Charles Town store couldn't or wouldn't find and provide it to them so I could pick the part up locally. I am done with this store and the people that work there. #NOWORKETHIC.

This is your warning…read more We have a truck that we use for work. It's a 2006, it's not new, and we're not trying to make it new. It developed a problem where it would intermittently slip into "limp mode" and lose power. No boost...turbo wouldn't spool up...and we'd have to pull over. We'd shut the truck off for a minute, turn the key completely off, and restart. Problem would go away...for a while. Obsession Automotive, even with an appointment, took several days to get back to us. Then they told us the truck needed fuel injectors & a Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM). We Ok'd the work and a day after getting it back? It went into limp mode again. Frustrating. We took it back. I questioned their diagnostics & specifically asked them to take a hard look at the sensors They came back this time telling us the Turbo was bad. Plausible. They showed us a dirty turbo (as proof it was "bad" - but we don't know what we're looking at). We Ok'd the work. The very next day after getting it back? It was belching so much smoke, it enveloped the truck, so again, back to the shop. Another costly repair was then "discovered", somehow completely unrelated to our initial complaint & the work they'd performed. We questioned it, but Ok'd the work. This time, before even getting it back, they "discovered" another problem, costly, urgent, & "ticking time bomb" were the words used, but we'd had enough. We told them to put it back together & we'd take it elsewhere. We took them a truck that ran. Granted, it went into limp mode, but we drove it there. No smoke, & nothing more than a complaint. When we picked it up? It was smoking so badly, it was almost completely invisible when trying to follow. We took it right back & went in the shop as they tried to figure out what was going on. They told us the technician test-drove it (clearly a lie) & then tried to quickly pivot & told us the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve was stuck open (it wasn't), but the only way it could run was to unplug the EGR. What? So the EGR was unplugged & the truck drove out of that shop running great - almost all the way to the next shop, until it went into limp mode. The original complaint, thousands of dollars later, still persisted. Mind numbingly frustrating, and Scott? The owner? All too quick to point out how old our truck is, and all the other things it "needed"....never once accepting any kind of ownership. New trucks don't need repairs, Scott...your criticisms only undermine your own bread & butter. In the end? After having another certified diesel tech look at it, the exhaust back pressure sensor was going bad, and the terminals were corroded. Problem solved for under $500.00 dollars. We had him inspect the other "discovered" problem that Obsession Automotive claimed to be a ticking time bomb, and it wasn't. There was literally nothing wrong with it, and we saved the part. I went back to Obsession to ask for our old parts, to find out if they were truly "bad". Given the situation, we had our doubts. All of our old parts had either gone back as "cores" or had gone to scrap. They tried to tell me it had been over a month, but we picked up the truck on the 11th of August. It had barely been 15 days. I asked them to use the part number to track down the core from the vendor, because it's literally sitting in a box on a shelf, and they refused to do that. "Inappropriate" they called it, leaning on their own diagnostics as evidence we were wrong. Flawed logic at best. We saw their shop, and their technicians, and watched them attempt to figure out why it was smoking so badly when we picked it up for the last time. There were no "Seasoned Diesel Technicians" it was a group of kids huddled over our truck, going back and forth. No leadership, no legitimate diagnostics. This is not the place for legitimate diesel truck repair. It may be the place for local kids to get together and work on hobby vehicles, but when it comes to actual diagnostic troubleshooting? FAIL. These guys are predatory. Stay away. They never fixed our initial complaint, weeks and $$$ - wasted. This is your warning.
