The guys there were super helpful especially Mack, who answered all of my questions. It was upsetting having to find out I had to leave my car in NJ for several days due to a hold up on the parts (no fault to Pep boys) but Mack and the rest of the staff kept me up to date on the progress of the car while it was there and did all they could to get it repaired as soon as they could. Since they were so nice and helpful I even asked that they perform an oil change since my car was already in the shop. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. None of these junk yards really know if the transmissions they are selling you are good or bad because half the cars they pull them out of are destroyed. The only thing you can hope for is that the yard stands behind there transmissions and replaces them if there is a problem. Fenix will do everything in their power to put you through the ringer sending videos, pictures, codes, fluid samples, invoices, etc... This is all fine but when you send them everything they need they take a full week to get you an answer and half the time the answer is "We need more videos". Then if the warranty is not approved they do t let you know. They just don't call you back. I have read other reviews and this seems like common practice with them

They have the quality brands you need for a reliable repair and I've found the prices to be comparable and / or better than other alternatives. Beats buying from faceless, humanless on line customer service when it's needed. They even bettered Costco's deal for replacement auto battery with a quality brand, AC Delco that had a longer warranty. Another time I remember they spent a good amount of time on line for me researching a proper replacement headlight harness. I'm glad I've created an account there so I can get parts quickly when necessary. On-line venders may often times be cheaper, but have no one to speak to when issues arise, returns have to be made, or need something quicker. Something to be said of the Mom&Pops shop.

I brought a glitchy RadCity Bike to Edgewares in hopes of getting it fixed. I had just had a bad…read moreexperience at another bike shop where I was told it would be worked on quickly, then 2 hours later they "still hadn't heard from their e-bike mechanic" who was running late I work or something. So I brought the bike back to brooklyn and to Edgewares. The owner of the shop stopped what he was doing to come take a cursory look. When the battery was fizzing he knew there was a bigger issue so instead of promising a quick turn around he said he wanted to find the real problem but it could take time, and he'd follow up with an estimate. I appreciated the quick review and honest timeline. I got a call later that he had discovered some glitchy wires that may have also been shorting the battery and he had contacted rad wagon and found it. It was under warranty and was able to get me a replacement bike. I was floored! I was happy to pay for set up of the new bike as they had put a lot of time into it. When I realize I had forgotten the key lock for the battery when picking up the new bike they came to my house a mile and a half away to pick it up. It was incredible customer service. I have two ebikes and kid bikes and this place will be my go to for servicing in the future !
