Apparently, the items were by mistake sent out without being checked over for defects. The company acknowledged this and credited me for their mistake. They did advise to always get pictures emailed before ordering from a salvage yard which will be very helpful to anyone who orders. I just called and spoke with the manager. She basically blamed me: they are only an access point, so it's not their fault. I should check with UPS. Maybe the staff made a mistake, but that's life.
