I said no thank just got the inspection and drove to this AutoZone. They had the parts in stock and checked the other store for the one thing they didn't. I've been to this AuoZone (Store #0902) on Cobb Parkway, just south of the Big Chicken, several times over the years for a variety of reasons. I have had ODB codes read, helped friends get batteries replaced, and purchased parts such as replacement headlight bulbs and windshield washer fluid. When the AutoZone employee tried to read to me the ODB code my car was throwing, he didn't really know how to explain or diagnose the problem. It had to do with my crankshaft. In this particular instance, my visit was a waste of time because I ended up taking my car to a real garage where they read the code, diagnosed the problem, and repaired my car. However, I did appreciate AutoZone's willingness to help me with my problem and the code reading was free. I have sent friends and coworkers to get their car batteries replaced at this AutoZone with no problems. In one instance, I accompanied a friend whose car battery died. We jumped her car and brought her here. The AutoZone employee quickly found her the appropriate battery and replaced it for free. He did try to sell her some battery corrosion protection at the end of the transaction, but she declined. I bought a replacement headlight bulb for my car here. I was expecting to tell the employee my car's make, model, and year and then he would just grab the bulb for me. Instead, he offered to replace the bulb for me for free. We went outside and he removed the old bulb, matched it up with a new one, we completed the transaction, and we went back outside, where he replaced the bulb successfully. This was nice because the headlight bulbs in my car aren't easily replaceable. I was offered bulb anti-corrosion grease, but declined. I wish this AutoZone stocked more varieties of windshield washer fluid, but I'm splitting hairs at this point. They do offer a couple different types of Rain-X brand washer fluid, which I recommend. Overall, I've found this AutoZone to be fast and reliable with a friendly and generally competent staff. Sometimes, I've encountered "shady" people loitering outside trying to solicit mechanic-type work to AutoZone customers entering and leaving the store. Watch out for them, though I haven't seen any in my most recent visits. read more

Found an oxygen sensor for my car online. Call to find out they don't take orders over the phone. Fine, I go in and order the part. They don't deliver this part even though they deliver other parts. Fine, I come to pick up the part on the scheduled pick up date: it's not there. I come again within a week, which I was assured they'd hold it for me. They tell me it was sent back. Overall, 3 wasted trips to this place and two explicitly unfulfilled agreements. It's probably not even their fault they probably just simply don't get paid enough to care. I will attempt to contact the corporate office in Tennessee tomorrow, but in the meantime I decided write a Post. If I could rate John at AutoZone a negative star I would but you are forced to give at least one star. Customer service is essential to any business and I just spoke with John at AutoZone at 185 Cobb Parkway.... if this was not the correct location it was the correct location which has the phone number of 770-919-8755. I don't want to write a negative review about a location incorrectly. John said he was the manage, which I found very hard to believe with his lack of people skills honestly simply human being skills. He sounded like he was in a bad mood , but the store just opened when I called at 7:30 a.m. He was nasty, rude, inconsiderate, obnoxious and very disrespectful in the two-three minute conversation I had with him. I called back and asked for his manager's name, which is unprofessional, rude and nasty attitude continued. He gave me his manager's name and let me know that he will be there tomorrow. However, if he's a manager and he behaves this way then I can only imagine what his manager is like and that is why I will try to deal with their corporate office tomorrow. Who writes reviews for Autozone.... not I. But the service I received shouldnt go unnoticed. My head light went out so i went for a simple bulb. Got that. My main problem was "someone" at this location before changed my signal bulb for me before but be gave me a white bulb instead of yellow.... cool whatever. Brenda informed me that it HAD to be yellow. She switched it out for me. Heres my other problem. My boyfriend went to change the bulb for me and didnt put it on tight enough so he dropped the bulb in the headlight ! Lol unheard of. Freddie and Brenda help us for 30 mins in 40 degree weather trying to help us get it out. Didnt happen because i would of had to take the whole front bumper off. Didnt have time for that. It was just there wonderful service that really made me not so mad at my boyfriends foolish move. So now i have my headlight and signal bulb fix and a extra one just rolling around in there. Lol. After I had a coworker jumpstart my battery, I drove right over hoping that this would be a straightforward process. I went into AutoZone the other day to get my battery tested and of course it was bad. But the Manager Roderick was so nice and polite he gave me the option of which battery to put in my vehicle and he installed it for me as well. After doing that he came back to test my alternator even though they were very busy he asked me if I could give him a few mins to checkout some other customers and he did it so fast. Once from a manager and another time from a regular staff member. Asked them to check our alternator and he said it was fine after like 2 seconds. This Autozone is across the street from the Marietta Diner, just down the street from the Big Chicken. I give this Autozone 4 stars for a couple big reasons: first, they are open late when other auto supply places are not. My battery was giving some signs of dying, and when I got to my car after work it was dark, late, and my battery was dead. I got a jump and drove over. Second, they actually come out to your car and will test and replace your battery for you. They were able to use a device to show the battery wasn't keeping charge anymore, and I've been told they read engine codes for free, too. Yes, this means you might have to wait for someone, but in the couple times I've been there, they've been helpful and quick, and the line goes quickly. They've never tried to sell me anything additional, they've been helpful over the phone, and everyone has been friendly and competent, in my experience. As far as I'm concerned, this is just what I'm looking for in an auto parts supply store. read more

My battery died last night. I came here not knowing where I purchased the last one or how long ago that was. The counter guy asked me to check to see if it was with them to be sure. Turns out I had purchased it here and it was still under warranty. Woo Hoo! Dang battery died a week before the warranty was up. They replaced my battery with a new one at no charge. Now that's service. I will always come here now. Plus, they stay open until midnight. read more

My battery keeps mysteriously dying and radio going in and out so I went in for a battery testing and code check. I guess it was a problem for the employee, manager to be exact; probably because I didn't purchase anything but whatever. He checked the battery and alternator which was fine so I asked about the codes to see what the issue was. This chump plugged it up, switch screens on my dash and told me no codes came up after 15 seconds. I know it takes longer for it to check thoroughly so I knew he didn't really check. He finally got out of the way so I could try Advanced Auto. Advance checked everything correctly and found out that it was the alternator. They should hire females here if they don't want to work and sit in the shop and do nothing like bitches (specifically the grey shirt'd manager, black guy with a beard and the light skinned guy with green eyes) if these guys are working when you arrive, good luck read more

I had a dead battery today and Clint was not only helpful, courteous, and professional, he did it all with a sense of humor. The difference between this store and the one over on South Cobb Drive (Smyrna) is like night and day. The guys at this store are great...the best service I've gotten at any store since I moved here. Last week, I went to the AutoZone on South Cobb Dr. and no one was friendly or helpful there. The vibe was so negative, it was like being in a morgue. So, I tried this store(Cobb Pkwy)--so much better. I had my battery charged and the guy that helped me was so friendly and helpful.
