    If I could give zero stars I would. Got what I needed at O'reilly auto parts! They don't kick people out for exercising their rights!

Due to travel time constraints, we took the old battery back to the Advance Auto Parts store in Hesperia, CA to get the core charge refund. Even showing the receipt to the clerk, when they scanned the receipt, the core charge didn't pull up, thus they could not issue a refund...because guess what...Advance Auto Parts has a GLITCH in their system. So now Advance Auto Parts computer problem is my problem and I can't get a refund. After several calls to customer service, they offered to send me a $22 check for the refund which I refused. I told her, you already got your money....why should I have to wait for my money. Again, a few more calls and we were able to take the battery back to the Hesperia location and get $22 cash refund. Note, our drivers license was scanned in order to get the refund. With all of the cyber breaches happening...another reason why NOT TO PURCHASE anything from Advance Auto Parts. How many people are in the same situation as we were buying something with a core charge and returning the core to a different store and not being able to get a refund. This cost us time and gas money!! REALLY. Advance Auto Parts has LOST my business.

I bought a set of tires because as we all know we try to save money however we can. I bought me some decent priced tires for my Maxima. I decided that I would have them put them on because I had this bright idea that I needed to be on a plan where if for whatever reason I got a flat they would fix it for free. Well big mistake, they had my husband waiting for over three hours to mount them and then to add to aggravation they ruined my rims. Not just one or two, all of them. Completely scratched and chipped them and they had the nerve to say that they were already in that state. I didn't realize that I needed to take a picture prior getting service to make sure my property got returned in the same state that it was given. I am so upset at them and specially at myself for knowing better than to take a car to a place that doesn't specialize in this type of work. Never again. Just don't do it, save yourself the headache and the frustration.

Every time he hit about 40mph, the oil cover/skid plate would eventually hit the ground. The only thing noted on his paperwork is that the skid plate was damaged. Very general. Who doesn't have a little damage to their skid plate. Nothing was explained to him that there could be any safety hazard when he picked his car up. We took the car back. They said they secured it, but 3 bolts were missing. This was not noted anywhere when he first picked his car up after the oil change. And, of course, they won't be taking any responsibility for their negligence. Wal-Mart may be in the business of car care. But. Do they really care?

I visited this…read morebusiness on 3/4/25 due to my vehicle having to be towed three times and spending over $500 in car services with roadside assistance within 48hrs due to a dead 12V battery and oil change. I've waited over three hours in the cold of -43 weather and have not complained one bit about my situation. I own a 2010 Toyota Prius and received unpleasant and unprofessionalism service from the store manager "BYRON SALGUERO" on 3/5/25. He confirmed that he remembered my presence and situation from the previous day. Upon my initial interaction with this agent he seemed to be professional, but after explaining to him that the quoted price from Car Advise was exactly a difference of $17.51 from his quoted total, he began to become aggressive, agitated and unfriendly. This agent was attempting to take more money than what was quoted to me from "Car Advise". I informed to him that the numbers that were presented in the "Car Advise" application were different than what he displayed. He did not care to further investigate the issue and just displayed & stated the total price. He said, "Look this is what I see and that is all I can tell you" very nonchalantly and rudely. I also want to note that when I visited the location on 3/4/25 I was helped by a very friendly female representative. I informed Byron of her courteous service and he rolled his eyes and disagreed with my compliment towards her. It's obvious that this location has internal staff issues and customer service issues. When I asked the time duration of the oil change Byron stated it would be 1hr and 30 minutes. After that time passed and I checked on my vehicle he stated that no service had been provided. Please look into his previous and current background for similar issues. I will NEVER return to this location. After this experience I will no longer use Pep Boys as a service provider. I will be reporting this message to corporate, regional and local representatives. I also want to note that there was an additional representative in an undisclosed area that was present, but did not assist myself or incoming customers. The wait time to be assisted was longer than necessary.
