It was a rainy night and my windshield wipers weren't holding up. It was definitely time for a replacement. We saw an Auto Zone on the road and went in. It wasn't very crowded inside and the staff was helpful with answering any questions. After my purchase I went outside, still raining and tried to put on the new windshield wipers. I was struggling so my daughter recommended that we ask inside for help. We asked for help and Matthew quickly put on our new windshield wipers without a sweat. He made it look easy. Although, at first they couldn't find my last transaction where I had purchased the brakes in the Palmdale location. Joel called around and was able to fix the problem. He was very thorough and nice. They provided me with the wrong light bulp even tho I provided the information to them properly. I called back so I could swap and they told me if I showed up a minute late that they would not help me out even when it was their fault. I was going going to be 1 minute late. This delayed my trip and they did not care for my family plans. My family and friends have been customers of autozone for a very long time and this is what we get. AMAZING STAFF. I had a coolant leak from a hose that I could not seem to identify which made finding the part impossible. They took the time to pull up the schematic of my coolant system, identified the part, and located it and had it brought to the store. That is what I would call amazing customer service. The Autozone on Bear Valley & Balsam in Hesperia deserves a negative rating for poor customer service. I was told they needed to charge my battery before checking the alternator. I left my battery at 12:52 pm I was told it would be ready in 2 to 3 hours. I returned at approximately 6:00 p.m. and the battery was not fully charged. The employee kept asking the male manager why the battery wasn't charged and he completely ignored him. He walked right past him as he called his name several times. It was obvious he was not going to respond to his employee so I attempted to get his attention as he continued to serve customers. After several minutes, he replied he didn't know why the charger shut off or didn't charge the battery. I called for a ride to be picked up, and was told it should be ready in a couple of hours. Before picking up the battery for the second time, I called to verify that it was 100% charged. When I arrived, there was a female manager, ROBIN SCHILLING, and two male employees behind the counter. There were no customers in the store (check your cameras). ROBIN said they could not put the battery in my car until tomorrow. I advised her that I was not leaving my car in their empty parking lot overnight. I also informed her that this was my second trip to pick up this battery. ROBIN refused to assist me and one of the male employees set the heavy battery on the counter and pushed it in my direction. When I was halfway to the door with the battery, Robin said they could carry it for me. At this point, I was beyond irritated and ignored her taunt. I advised her that I did not carry the battery in. I had no tools to install this battery and it was pitch dark outside. I could not even see the positive or negative terminals, and I could barely get the battery in the dark trunk. I will take my car to a reputable auto shop tomorrow to check the battery install, as I am a female with no mechanical experience. This store is obvious biased on services they offer for "free" vs "paying" customers as the first mgr continued to ignore our questions as he served customers who came in after me. I have never had a great experience in this store and refuse to go back. read more

When I got to the store it was very busy and i had to do the social distancing. I was a little disappointed because I thought it was going to take forever; but it didn't. Raymund H was the one who rang me up. He had a great attitude he asked me if everything was going good and he took care of all my questions. He even offered to test my battery outside of the store. He also picked up the telephone on two occasions when he was very busy. He deserves to be recognized for his customer service and great performance today. The Young guy that came outside was Oblivious to what he needed to do & I had to coach him thru the process to even charge the Battery. Then the Guy began yelling at Me as if He was Crazzzy!!! Went in there looking for windshield wipers and something for my rear view mirror that fell off. A worker was stacking items and asked if I needed help, took me to each item I needed and made sure I was aware of each item I was buying and why. As I was checking out and paying another worker asked if I needed help installing the wipers. They looked busy so I declined since I thought it would be simple enough. After like 15 minutes in the parking lot of my wife and I fiddling with the wipers we couldn't figure it out. I shamefully walked back inside and asked if anyone was available. They happily came out to help. Turns out the box's were missing a part and the worker finally figured that out and he took care of all of it for us. He was super nice and all the staff were asking if they could help. I was kind of confused because I have been into other auto zones and I've never been helped like this. Anyways, this auto zone isn't the closest one to my home but if I ever need anything I will for sure drive out of my way to give them my business. Thank you Ray for helping us out. Four times now I have gone to this location, AFTER CALLING TO CONFIRM THE CORRECT PART!, and they sell me the wrong part, even after confirming again at the register! This is infuriating after driving across town, taking the truck apart to access said parts, and getting home to find the wrong part was sold to me! This is on two different occasions, 4 months apart! This location needs to start educating their sales reps on researching the correct part before selling parts, just to get a part out the door! I will not go back to Apple Valley Auto Zone! If you do, quadruple check your purchases and don't trust the professionals because clearly they are not about customer satisfaction or knowledgable about WTF they are selling! If I could give ZERO STARS to match their ZERO F**** given, I would. EDIT: I'm furious and this is for the APPLE VALLEY AUTOZONE! I'm sure the one on Balsam is great. read more

I've been going to this store for awhile now because they always go above and beyond to help. I've been to the Autozones on Palmdale road, and the one in Apple Valley but they dont compare to this one on Bear Valley Road in Victorville (across from walmart). They do indeed get quite busy in there but they are always helpful and knowledgeable. Autozone always has prices that cant be beat too. They have helped me out numerous times from installing things on my car, to being kind when I need to exchange something. Everyone here is nice and very helpful,, from the workers that are just stocking products to the manager here. I highly reccomend this store. read more

My car would not start so I got a jump start from my neighbor. I went to Auto Zone and told them that I was having problems with a battery I had purchased from them within the last two years. I didn't have a receipt but they located my purchase with my cell number and found my warranty. The sales lady April was very professional. She removed and replaced the battery. No questions asked.
