Okay so i went to this place to tint my windows on my car I just purchased since it was labor day every other window tinting place was closed so I had no choice . The reason for the 4 starts will definitely be the price. I live down south and could have got the same thing done for around 60 bucks , they claimed that it was 69.00 for a four door but ironically they only had a very light percentage so i had to get the 99.00 and on top of that $15.00 extra for the front strip. Came up to over $120.00 ( double than any other place . I also just realized that while the guy told me what I was getting was better because it had some type of warranty all I was given was a mini receipt so ... WHERE IS MY WARRANTY CARD!???? .... They did do a great job but I'm feeling like i got ripped off ..... I wish they would've had a Groupon, or at least told me if they had one . read more

Every time I change my car I come here for tints, HID's if needed and the LED lights for the interior. The staff are very careful and do clean work. Being a good salesman, Rafael started at the high end, but when I told him that the speakers were probably worth more than the car, we got down to $79 for a pair of Kickers and they rock! I had 20% tinting with 3M FX film applied to the windows of my Mercedes C230 using a Groupon coupon. The film is dark outside and blocks a lot of heat, necessary for Florida summers, and lowers the risk of theft, and its still easy to see from inside while driving. It looks good and was applied well. The installer started an hour late, though the shop was not busy. It took an hour to put on the film. The interior of my car had dirty smears on the door panels and carpeting when I picked it up because they didn't put down protective paper while working inside. It honestly needed an interior shampoo afterwards. In a $30,000 car, that was disappointing. The scheduler, Robert, assured me that the film would be warrantied for life throughout the 3M network before I came in. When finished, they gave me a minimal invoice which didn't show the product by type or the price for the service (or, for that matter, my address), but didn't give me any care instructions or a dealer-completed warranty card, which I later found from 3M's web site would be necessary for warranty service. Now I'm worried that either it isn't genuine 3M film or that I won't be covered if it peels or bubbles. Three stars because the film was cut properly and looks good, dinged because of inattentive service. Update: this shop is, in fact, an authorized 3M film dealer. I came back a week later and asked for the 3M card. They looked up my install and brought an official warranty card to the counter, where it was completed. I'm satisfied about the warranty now. Update 2: my tint on the back window started to color and peel after six months, so I took the car to a 3M dealer in Cali (since I'd moved to L.A.). They saw my receipt and warranty card, looked at the film, and said, "That's not genuine 3M film, we can't honor the warranty." So AutoTech may be a valid dealer, but they didn't install what they said they did, which is shoddy. I got a full refund, and I would not recommend them. read more

A couple of ailing problems remained on my 2000 Civic which I'm putting up for sale: first was the Clifford Alarm transmitter which crapped out from being cracked and old and I had purchased a new one online but didn't know how to reprogram it to work with the car. This issue was solved in about 2 minutes for $20. Dang that was fast. The second issue was the stereo system had not been working for a few years because the amplifier had shorted out. I asked Autotech to diagnose whether the amp could be salvaged as I suspected it needed a new one. (I wasn't planning on buying a new amp but was going to get one second hand and have them install it for me.) The diagnosis came back that the amp was fine but two speakers were shot and my wiring had to be redone, which I had expected. The speakers set me back $99 and the wiring job cost $140. It was amazing to hear the sound system working again. This car is just about ready for sale, and I'm sure the owner will be pleased with these two electrical problems resolved. I applaud Autotech for getting the job done quick, professionally, and the technicians even taught me how to put my alarm system into valet mode. read more

Got a groupon and went here because it was a 3M brand tint job. The service was good, and prompt. Got 15% tint on all windows of a coupe and they did it in about 55 minutes. Tints look good so far and no problems with the tint job. A little bit of marks of dripping on inside doors and outside doors probably from liquid to clean the windows was one thing I noticed. If my interior had been light color it would have been an issue. Thankfully my interior is black. Now on to the real reason for a 3 star. While the service was great, the clerk did not seem to know what a warranty card was. I asked for one and instead he gave me a receipt printed on a letter sized paper. I drove home and researched online. I realized there's a 3M warranty card and further saw a Yelp review for this very place where the person talked about the warranty card (Eric O. was the review). I called the next day and asked the person on the phone if there was a card and if I could pick it up. They sounded puzzled but said yes. I passed by a day after calling and asked the clerks and they sounded puzzled again. I told them I did my research online and that every 3M install has an official warranty card. He told me he would go ask the installer and left the office. Seconds later a manager called me over asked for my name etc and pulled out an actual warranty card, and filled it out. She did this quietly and apparently overheard me talking with the clerks, moments earlier. At no point in time did she interrupt to clarify, but instead waited for them to leave the office to ask the installers, to then approach me. The person proceeded to fill out the card which is for color stable tints, she crossed out 'color stable' and wrote 'FX' on it. Then put a business card and stapled it onto the warranty card. Now, I left and did not notice but the business card was stapled on top of the area of the warranty card where the dealer puts it's name and signature. Both areas were left BLANK. Now I have to wonder many things. I'm not trying to be picky or accuse them but I went with them because they had 3M tint and everything seemed a bit weird. I went on 3M's website and this company did not show up on the authorized dealers list. Further I have to wonder if another authorized dealer would honor the 3M warranty given that 1) the warranty card says color stable but it was crossed out and written FX with pen right next to it 2) dealer signature is not there 3)if you're an authorized 3M dealer why not give every customer the 3M warranty card, and save them the hassle of having to pass by again to ask for what should have been given in the first place and 4) was it really 3M film or any good film? I would imagine the official backing of a company like 3M and their warranty card should be a selling point for their services. Reading the other yelper review I can see this warranty card issue is not an isolated incident. The job itself was great but if you're not authorized as a 3M dealer or want to give the warranty cards then maybe they shouldn't advertise it as 3M film. Yelp people should be aware of this because the 3M warranty provides that ANY authorized 3M dealer can service the tints free of charge if it falls within the terms, but if it's installed at a non authorized place then no one will want to honor that warranty, and rightly so. Very impressed with these guys. I bought a Groupon for window tint and my experience was great. Their Saturday appointments fill up fast, so be sure to book a few weeks ahead of time and get there early. That's right, suck it up and be there at 8:30 am. They do have a wait area with magazines and a TV, or you can grab Cuban breakfast nearby if you feel adventurous. They finished the tint on my Mini Cooper in 45 minutes, with hardly any bubbles. Car looks great now that the tint has dried. The 3M tint they use is of decent quality and comes with a life-time warranty. Highly recommended. read more

I purchased a Groupon for window tinting from Autotech. It was my first time ever getting tint on my car, but I figure since summer was around the corner it was something I needed to get done. These guys were great, they use high quality 3M tint which comes with a lifetime warranty. I dropped my car off and about 3 hours later I get a call saying it's ready. I was a bit concerned at first because there were tiny bubbles everywhere, but they assured me it's normal due to the liquid solution they use to apply the tint and they would disappear as soon as it dries. Low and behold they were right. The next day all the bubbles were gone and the tint came out perfect. Very happy with with the final product and the price was great. read more

After purchasing my new car, I just had to secure it with a decent alarm. I had heard positive feedback about Autotech and the owner so I decided to take my car there and get the job done. I didn't know what alarm I was after but talking to the guy at the counter, I was informed and decided to go with a viper full blown alarm with all the cookies. Thanks to him for being patient and explaining all the details. After setting myself back more than a few hundred dollars, I was satisfied with the work and functions of the alarm. Everything was professionally done and faster than I expected for a busy Saturday. I highly recommend. Update 2: 7/5/2014 I recently changed vehicles and brought it in to Autotech for an alarm. This time around, I also brought in my wife's car for alarm and tints. Both vehicle were set up with appointments and all work was done as detailed and on time. As usual, the customer service has been friendly and professional. The same goes for the work done from the guys at the shop. The prices are within average range but worth the service. I took my new car to get tints. The next day I noticed the door panel on the passenger side had been damaged. I took it back to the shop 2 days later to show the manager what had happened. He completely denied that it had been them and took zero responsibility for it. He kept saying it was impossible that they would do that. I'm 100% sure it happened at the shop. So just be careful when u take ur car, take pics and double check when they are done. read more

I got the tinting on my Mazda 2 done here a couple of weeks ago. I had a Yelp deal, which helped me save about $25. Also, Autotech is cheaper (by about $50) than their closest Yelp competitor (close in rating). The ONLY reason for the 4 starts instead of 5 is because I opted for the 3M tint which has the 3M logo printed all over the tint...so now, I'm stuck looking at that logo on my windows--something no one told me about. Overall, though, the customer service was good and the pricing wasn't too expensive. read more

I love this place. I've been coming here for about 4 years now. I had them install a new car stereo for me and they showed me how to use Bluetooth and connect my phone so I could talk and drive hands free. I've also purchased an antenna and a car alarm. I came in recently to reset my car alarm because a valet person had messed up the settings. The employee reset it for me and I was out in 2 minutes. As a Marine Veteran and everyone else in Miami Time is Precious. Normally I've never had any issues with this place but this yesterday I went for a windshild strip and after telling one of the employees what I wanted they gave me something else only after waiting almost 2 hours. I went back because a Different employee told me they would redo it for free of charge if I came back tomorrow,so the next day i called because i didnt want to wait 2 hours again. I'm given a time to come and I arrive 5 mins earlier to make sure that I comply with the appointment. AFTER WAITING A HOURS I ask a employee why it's almost been a hour and they haven't given me word on the windshield strip....he comes back and tells me that they were working on another car and that they will be starting soon that it will take 15-20 mins. By the time I left it had taken them a hour and 38 mins since the time they told me to arrive... Needless to say I will not be going here again. Dont waist your time at this place, I give them 1 star because atleast they fixed the issue to SATISFY THE PAYING CUSTOMER. read more
