I purchased a monthly basic car wash subscription a few months ago, shortly after I moved to Durham. It has a convenient location for me, and the subscription cost is very reasonable, so I get to use the service fairly often, i have kind of learned how to time when there will be a line and when there won't. I use the light touch option, but I appreciate that there's a touchless one. The reason I came here to leave this review is that i've had such a great experience with the customer service, and specifically, the owner of this location. The month after I bought the subscription, my payment hadn't gone through, so I fixed the card but my subscription didn't re up automatically. The employee on hand swiped me through and then said they would send my information to the owner to get it fixed. I heard back very quickly on my cell phone, and the issue was resolved immediately with great courtesy. This morning, when I stopped by to get a wash, both of the lanes were blocked by cones, but there weren't any signs saying that the location was closed. I spent a few minutes at the vacuums and cleaning out my car in case it was a temporary thing, and they were going to reopen one of the lanes. They were both still blocked when i was done, so I decided to text the phone number that I had in my phone from a few months ago and see if it was going to be open soon. The owner called me almost immediately, explain that they were having maintenance done on one of the lanes, and told me to give him a minute to check. The second one opened up within probably 3 minutes, and he called me back to let me know it was good to go. Their Charging monthly seems like fraud , called in to cancele monthly plan over a year ago then Found out 3 different time this company is still charging monthly! Buyer beware of monthly charges if you try to cancel keep watching your bank statements! read more

I love this car wash! The guys that work here are awesome. They actually seem to care about making sure things work, it's clean, the wash options are great and affordable, and if there are any issues with vacuums or anything, they are quick to address them and super friendly about it. There is another car wash opening across the street which I think is kind of crappy... I will continue to support this one because they are phenomenal. I hope that the owner sees these reviews and shares them with their employees, it's the reason I keep coming back to this specific one. read more

Ran my car through once and asked if I could run it through again pointing out some areas that didn't come clean. Without hesitation they took great care of me, upgraded my wash for free. I came here because the positive reviews, and after my experience, I'm absolutely baffled by them. This place is overpriced and ineffective. I guess Autorific Laserlacklusterrinse doesn't really have the same ring to it. It seems like their business plan involves providing terrible quality services at lower levels in order to encourage you to pay for premium services and memberships. No, thank you. Autorific Express Car Wash Hillsborough rd Durham. I have a '22 white Bronco and noticed after my wash that the no hands laser wash sprayed black specks all over my car that harden really quick. I showed the attendant who noticed also filed an incident report and told me I would hear from the manager the next day. Which I did, first he was accusatory and said it's no way it came from them he saw the video. Of course he would not see the specks come out as they were really small, but noticeable and hoses get material debris in them all the time. I spent 2 hours removing them with dawn dish detergent and elbow grease. The next day he said he would need to see the spots... I literally told him I spent two hours removing them. The wash was terrible and the car was still dirty and the wheels. Will never use again. Save your money. The worst car wash ever and lousy customer service! And I sweated out my freshly pressed hair!!! read more

Always excellent! I drive from across town just to get my car washed here. My car is spotless. I always go through the right side, which isn't touchless, but it always gets all the dirt out of the crevices on my car...ie. between my rim spokes, and out of the grill. They also issue a coupon based on the wash that you purchase that has to be used within 8 days. Great deal!! read more

You know, the ones with free vacuuming, plus staff that will help clean off any bug guts before you go through the wash. But, compared to the nearby competition, Autorific on Hillsborough Rd is one of the better places to go. read more

This place does an insanely good job of washing the car. It's only $12 for the medium package and it does a better job than a hand-washed place. Also, while every place closes early, Autorific is open 24/7 so they cater to people who work later than most. I have absolutely no reason to visit a place more expensive that does a job that is the same or worse than this place. read more

Really horrible car wash. It scratched and stripped huge chunks of paint off of my bumper. I found the paint strips in the car wash! The manager told me two times that they were fully liable and asked me to get estimates for the repairs. However, after finding out how much it would cost, the owner backed out of paying for the bumper to be fixed. He refused any attempts to compromise and solve the problem amicably. It's a horrible car wash that may severely damage your vehicle and horrible customer service if it happens. read more

Washed my car after the snowpocalypse here with the laser wash. My car was pretty filthy with salt everywhere, it did a decent job of getting it all off. It is kind of pricy ($12), I got the super wash (i think thats what its called if i remember correctly) because I also wanted an under carriage spray to prevent rust from all the salts that accumulated down there. The undercarriage spray was disappointing, it was very brief a few seconds, I wonder if it even did much?. There are cheaper washes for $6, however, i don't know how good they are, from other reviews it seems like they might not do the job. Good thing it seems to be open 24 hours, was very busy during the day I came back later at night and only had a few cars in front of me. I might go back after the next snowpocalypse if i don't find cheaper. read more

Chose the $6 Laserwash to get what looked like black "dust" that had settled over the whole surface of my car thinking it should be an easy clean. However when I stopped a few blocks up the street at Northgate Mall and got out I saw the "dust" was still on my car. :-( Since I had SEEN an employee helping someone else while I was there I decided to drive back to ask him why the "dust" didn't come off during the Express Laserwash. Well...I didn't see the attendant anymore but I DID see the local phone # posted clearly on a sign that encouraged anyone 2 call with any concerns so I did. Jonathan answered the phone and told me he would look at my car to address the issue (he was on the property---don't know how I missed him). After looking at the "dust" he explained that what I thought to be "dust" was probably a mixture of tar/resin and airborne particles (road construction on nearly EVERY street in Durham currently) and told me that my quick pass thru Laserwash hadn't given the detergent enough time to dissolve the tacky bonds of the material covering my car. He said in THIS case I probably needed to use the self-serve bay to apply the detergent with the brush 1st THEN go thru the Laserwash OR choose the longer, more intensive Laserwash from the start. Then...after getting to that baseline maintenance will just take a quick pass thru the Laserwash at the $6 level. Not ONLY did Jonathan give a clear explanation as to why I didn't get the results from the first Laserwash pass I went thru but he PERSONALLY made the brush application of detergent to my car and sent me back thru the premium Laserwash at no cost to me. Wow! the Premium Laserwash ($12) is AMAZING! Never imagined an automated touchless service could provide such a THOROUGH detail of a car! RESULT: My car looks AWESOME and the personal attention and commitment to solving any issues that Autorific takes for its customers has made me a fan for life! I really appreciate that Autorific cares enough to pay a human employee to be on site to help its customers. This makes for a safer experience as well as the reassurance that if a machine malfunctions there is someone there to help. That is why I will be a regular Autorific (Guess Rd) customer for life.
