This review is only for the Collision Center. Some careless, inconsiderate person hit my husband's parked truck and left no note. Our insurance company asked us to use Autonation. Since we had been in Mobile for less than a month, we had no preference. Glad we went with Autonation. Took it for an estimate and made an appointment for a new bumper and side mirror. Dropped the truck off on a Monday and picked it up the following Saturday. It was ready sooner, but the Sat pick up worked best for our schedule. We were given updates along the way, and the truck looks great. I do hope we have no need to use their services again. But if another low life should hit one of our vehicles, I would not hestitate to return to Autonation Ford's Collision Center. read more

ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER PURCHASE. We purchased a 2026 Ford Truck back in Jan. While we were there they were excellent sales people. We were over charged for tags and title, and were told by the DMV that money (around $1200 ) was sent back to Autonation to be refunded. We have called every week some weeks every day with promises for returned calls. We still have no resolution for this issue. We just want our money back for the over charge. We believe this is something they likely do regularly to customers and most people dont pay attention and they get to keep that money. I thought car dealers being shady was old news, but today (August 2nd 2025) I learned that integrity is a foreign word to Autonation Ford of Mobile, Alabama. I took in my Ford F-150 (2016 XLT, less than 100k miles) with a view to downsizing and had my eyes (and a test drive) on a 2021 Kia Forte. Priced at $11,599 with 75k miles on the clock. With the trade in on the F-150 I was going to spend around $1,500 to drive home in the Kia. I deliberately don't take my title papers when car shopping so I get at least a day for "buyer's remorse" but this was a good deal and I signed the sales worksheet to accept the deal. Shook hands with the salesman, and the sales manager who said he appreciated my business (in what would have been my second purchase from the dealership in less than 3 years). As the dealership is closed on Sunday (the day after) and I had to be somewhere else, we agreed that I could come back on Monday to complete the paperwork and take delivery of my vehicle. An hour or two after leaving, I received a text from the salesman saying that someone else was test driving the car and they was a high likelihood that they would sell it to them. I replied that I was not going to deal with a company that would renege on a verbal contract. Later, I received another text message that the salesman had confused my intended vehicle with another that a potential customer had driven and asked me what time I could be expected on Monday to close the deal..! Needless to say I will not be doing business with a dealership that acts in this way. I don't have a burning need to sell/buy, but when I do it will 100% NOT be with Autonation Ford. Purchasing a car is a big deal, and today's events have once again proven that car sales is a viper's den of lack of integrity. Stay clear of these people, and make sure you get everything in writing. Take photos of everything that you sign. Document verbal contracts. Autonation Ford - shame on you. I took my truck in for it acting up and i had to replace my lead mold frame not a big deal well i take my truck to replace the torque converter well while they were doing that i asked to make sure the transmission was good make sure i dont need a new one bc i knew it was a common problem to have the transmission go out when ur torque converter does well they end up fixing the truck and tell me transmission was just fine no issues that it should be just fine well i get the truck back and a 6 days after i got it back the second time the transmission went out and took the last bit of my warranty do my transmission came all out of my pocket i wouldnt send anyone here ever worst dealership ive ever been do they are clueless on the inside they dont know head from ass in there read more

I attempted to purchase a car at AutoNation Ford Mobile but over the course of two days I made 8 phone calls, left 3 voicemail messages and sent 3 emails. No response and then I called corporate to see if I could reach someone and they said they would have someone call me back within 5 days. Finally I decided to schedule a meeting via the AutoNation scheduling system and a few hours before my appointment they raised the price on the vehicle by $1500 (see image below). And this was a vehicle they told me they needed to move because it had been in their inventory a long time. Just the kind of shady sales tactics AutoNation dealers claim not to play. I completed an online submission to carvana regarding selling my truck. From this I was offered a buy it now from AutoNation. The truck has a torque converter going out and this was disclosed on the listing. After receiving the online purchase request, I then received a text message from Mark Hochecker with AutoNation confirming that they want to buy it. They are a hour plus away from me so before moving forward I confirmed that they were not wasting my time and that they knew about the transmission issue. He assured me that as long as the condition of the vehicle is as reported that I would leave with the amount offered. We scheduled a time for me to meet him, I made the drive over, they made me wait over a hour, then informed me that they were offering almost $5,000 less than what was offered online due to the transmission issue. This company has no problem with wasting someone's time, misleading you, and basically being inconsiderate. Do not trust their word and definitely do not go out of your way from an online as is offer that they approach you with. Very disappointed and i wish I could give less than zero stars. These people lied to me about the features my car had. I believe it was intentional. They insisted pretty adamantly that I just needed to figure out the features of a newer car. It was insulting. Only after I contacted the manufacturer was it confirmed that it indeed did not have them, like I suspected. Returned the car within the 5-day window. The sales rep tried to drag his feet with one phone call a day to get back with me... all a ploy to make the sale built on lies and get me out of the 5-day return window. Check all manufacturer stickers (NOT the "stickers" that come from Autonation Ford) before buying. Also, when they say they are printing out something (such as the carfax or the inspection report) make sure it is actually yours... mine turned out was on a totally different car! They assume you won't really read it. Also, note that even though they did the inspection, does not mean everything passed! They note thing that need repair. Incredible. read more

Zach and Walter were great to work with and went above and beyond to make sure I got the vehicle I wanted. Grateful for the vehicle at the price. However problems with the way they handled the warranty and were very deceptive. Any buyers looking to purchase the AutoNation warranty please beware if you are not located near an Autonation. I was hesitant as I live over 2 1/2 hours away and was considering getting my own warranty through someone else because of the in vs out network deductible. They reassured me that the auto nation network included some local dealers in my area. Update it doesn't. It only includes Autonation. I asked several times and they said I was good. Now I have made a claim and they say my local dealership is out of network. I reached out to AutoNation Ford Mobile before posting and what they say is now completely different now that they sold the warranty and got their money. They claim I misunderstood when in reality they misunderstood what I was saying or just wanted to deceive me into purchasing the warranty. It makes complete sense that I was concerned about the increased deductible and being out network vs in after the price tag was close to $4k and living 2 1/2 hours away but they blame it on me now. Aug 8/9 I waited a few day then I called the service department looking for my advisor "Robert", I could not get a person at the site on the phone, (twice the customer service kept taking my number and name saying they would relay the message), this was during operation hours..I waited days,( this is now day 9) no-one reached out to me so I called again, I finally got a person that worked at the actual site and was asked who my advisor was.....and was told "we do not have a Robert that works here, well at least not in service" so I texted the number that I received the message on and called again. Another person answered the phone, I asked for Robert. He said "ok let me get him for you," I said I just called, someone said a Robert does not work there, he stated "oh, because no one calls him/knows him by Robert, we all call him Tyler." Finally was told they do not have an on site mechanic to fix an engine problem. I only had the car a few months before had to fix/so called replace my engine, now not even a year later I'm back in for my engine. This time it's leaking oil out of the tailpipe, hesitating to drive and smoking, they kept my car for 2 weeks and 6 days. ......I had to rent a car for those days, he said they had to figure out what was wrong with my car first to see if the damage was covered under warranty , (which it was) I finally got my car on Aug 25, He said he can't explain what happened but the engine just came a loose ..... when I got my receipt, they changed my email address to some weird address, I guess so they can have an excuse as to why they did not reach out to me, but I had previous notifications.I asked about reimbursement for the Rental and was told I had to call/reach out to the 1 800 Ford number/email....I did that, still no response! After all this.....I called yesterday Sept. 3 to tell Jerry the manager that my car started to hesitate again and won't go past 75/80 and the check engine light came on and he had the nerve to tell me that I've been racing my car because I have to keep getting my engine fixed/replaced. And most of the speed limits around Mobile is 65 mph! (I was on the interstate but don't see why that was anything to say to a customer) but a so called new engine should be able to withstand that pressure....right???)! Don't come here to trade your vehicle Went to look at a F-250 that I liked but the manager Thomas lowballed me so bad that I walked out of the dealer without saying a word. Remind you my truck is a 2023 F-250 diesel with 13k miles! They wanted to take advantage of me He also lowballed my cousin on his trade! He had a 2023 F-450 with only 8000 miles! So it's not like we had junk trucks We had high demand and high quality vehicles. Go to Mullinax ford! It's a way better dealer then these guys that only want to take advantage of you! I wish I checked here first. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I took my Explorer in for a new key and recalls. They call me and say hey we tried to pair your new key and we erased your current key it so you will need to buy a new OEM key for $175 so we can fix our mistake. I am like WHAT you erased my key then tell me I need to buy a new one before I even approved it? So they sell me a key and give me "FREE" programming. Then tell me my car is ready but now the tech noticed some concern to do with front,rear, steering, and brake lines?? but it would be additional $99 diagnostics to check everything even though they just screwed the alignment. So drove home and the alignment or something is totally off it is floating all over the road now (see update) which they did the alignment. How can you be an Authorized Ford service shop and have this bad of service. Needless to say I am getting my Explorer and taking it directly to a repair shop for investigation to have them review the mess. I will say Laura S. has communicated with me and that I appreciate that except not calling me before erasing my key then charging me for their mistake but I feel either the techs or AutoNation has trained their techs to milk their customers for more than what is needed very very shady feeling dealing with them. UPDATE 10/07/2021: I tried to drive the vehicle to repair shop and the toe-link recall they install broken and I almost had an accident and had to be towed to my repair shop I now have my insurance company involved I WILL NEVER EVER SET FOOT IN THE PLACE. I called AutoNation they said "we told you need new shocks" this has zero to do with shocks I have installed both shocks and struts this has NOTHING to do with incompetence and not installing the toe link correctly that could have killed me or another driver on the road. Expressed her concerned several times. To just be lied to again. I had her ask to get delivered to her house, they refuse as they "don't offer that service". She would've never made appointment , but she was told it would only take 5 hours. Three days later they haven't even started the service. She has no way to get the car as I live out of state. We were on our way home from vacation and in the middle or tornado watches and monsoon rain storms and on 65N our wiper flew off! The entire wiper, not just the blade! We turned around and got to a gas station and a gentleman sent us to AUTO NATION! They did not have the part in stock and there was no way we could get home in that weather! The manager came out and told them they got a new expedition in that morning and told them to take the wiper off and change it out! In 5 minutes we were back on the road! So I bought a Ford Ranger BRAND NEW in 2021. I noticed a few months ago that it was leaking from the roof...headliner stained. NO sun roof. I have had many different Ford vehicles. I took it to Autonation Ford in Mobile, Alabama and they said they would look at it. I have almost every warranty known to man. The service person (Tyler) said it would probably not be covered. after two weeks, he said that He could not believe it, but it would be covered and to come in on Monday because I had a warranty that would also put me into a Hertz rental. He said I had to wait a week until Hertz had a Ford in...On that Monday I went in as instructed by Tyler to the dealership. He wasn't at work and the dealership put me into a loaner. ON Wednesday Tyler called me and told me they should have never given me a loaner (they being his assumed boss), the warranty would not fix my truck, AND I had better get the loaner back to the dealership ASAP. It was the rudest encounter I have ever received at any dealership...much less a FORD dealership. I am now in search of buying a new truck. After owning 3 Ford Mustangs, a FORD Probe, two Ford Escorts, a Ford Sports Trac, a Ford F150, and two Ford Rangers, I will be leaving the Ford family. Thank you Autonation Ford and Thank you Tyler. Stay away from this dealership. I bought a 2014 e250 with 25k miles, from them recently and it was missing the spare. As a condition to buying this van, I asked them to order me a spare. Well, they indeed ordered me a spare, and when I came to pick it up, I was dumbfounded to find out It was from a junk yard. It was extremely dirty and the tire was dry rotted and bald. I will NEVER be back!! I knew I should have gone to Mullinax. Update: Someone from Auto Nation for left a message below to call the GM. I'm not going to do that. Not only because I read another review where they did that and the GM never called them back, but also I've already had a new tire installed on the junk yard rim at my expense. I asked the Auto Nation person who rolled that piece of junk out to me when I picked it up if that was my tire. His reply with a smile was "Yep". So I took it and wrote my review while sitting in their parking lot. You only get one shot for my business. Four months ago my 2016 F150 had a temperature sensor malfunction. An inexperienced technician took motor apart, replace a few parts, put back together but had a fuel leak!! Finally service manager used a different code and found problem and it was "fixed". Now truck back in shop. Had to be towed in 2 weeks ago w fuel leak due to faulty O rings which they replaced 4 no ago! However my biggest issue is the total lack of professional ethics and customer concern!!! There's no words to describe how bad this location is!!! I reached out to the dealership in reference to a suv they had on there website. When I didn't hear back I called again... should've been my first red flag.... I did speak with a salesperson named Ron who did a great job. The suv I inquired about actually was at a shop having a sensor replaced. I told him I wanted the car and if I needed to I would give them my American Express card number for a down payment. I called several times and finally got a call when I called from a blocked number and said I was from another auto nation. I told him I expected Thomas to be written up and coached! I also stated I wanted him to find me a replacement. He never called I called him back and he said unfortunately he couldn't. Worse customer service ever. Second time I went to Autonation for service on my vehicle. First time to replace 4 tires and oil/lube job. Delay in getting tires. Finally got them in and on. 2 days later 2 were flat. Went back to have them do it correctly. And actually do the oil change that I had paid for. Minor excuses and argument, but got it done with no more money paid out. Second time, informed all 4 rotors were out, and brake pads needed replacing. Vehicle isnt 70k miles. Got excuses and quote. Took vehicle elsewhere to do work for less than half quote, with 3yr warrant on OEM parts. Autonation I had to chase down and call back repeatedly to find out what was going on. Other place, kept me in loop. Other place now has my business. My neighbors. 2 friends. For service. Was looking for new vehicle, and will certainly be taking my money elsewhere, along with anyone else. read more

Had a check engine light that came on near I-65. I stopped by the dealership to have them read the code and schedule an appointment for repairs, if necessary. They wouldn't read the code. Therefore, I couldn't schedule an appointment. I don't know why I have a check engine light, so I don't know what to schedule an appointment for...It's 3:30pm. Really did not want to give even 1 star. Their service sucked. I scheduled an appointment and arranged to get a shuttle back, when I got there, they said they couldn't shuttle me because it was "out of their radius" I had asked if they could make an exception because the rep. Had promised the service and I had no other way to get back. The manager was overtly rude and unapologetic to the circumstances. They were not even sorry for their own screw up. I had other plans to attend to, so I had to cancel the appointment because they obviously were not going to help out. Will definitely not come back unless all other AutoNation Ford places are burnt to the ground. If I had to go to work, then I would have just been out of luck. If I could give 0.1 stars I would. UPDATE! I finally received an actual phone call from Autonation Ford. Will not be changing the review. Still the same nonsense. I have never purchased a vehicle without a spare key. If AutoNation Ford would have told me that their is no spare key/FOB, we would not have purchased the vehicle. read more
