I've had two different jobs done by Dave on my Jeep and the efficiency and attention to detail both times have been incredible. first time was a pretty big job and he was super honest about what absolutely needed to get done and what could wait (which was what I needed coming from someone on a tight budget). the second job was just this week - an emergency service after my car broke down randomly and he got it fixed same day! would highly recommend. read more

Super honest guy! I had someone at quick change oil shop tell me that my oil pan needed to be replaced. I dropped of my 2001 F150 with Dave only to find out that "recommendation" was totally wrong! Dave serviced my AC and spark plugs too and this old machine is humming down the dirt roads like it's new. I highly recommend Dave! read more

Rolled in after my brakes malfunctioned on the highway, everyone was attentive and straight forward. Job was completed quickly and efficiently; I've definitely found my new mechanic! read more

These guys are a joke and reviews are misleading. Scheduled an appointment 3 days in advance, dropped off my car at 9am when they told me to for an oil change, long crank problem, and transmission fluid change. I trusted them and didn't bother them with any phone calls until 3 PM. They made a bunch of excuses and said that they haven't even touched my car yet. When I dropped it off in the morning I told them that I needed it back the same day. They told me at 3 PM that they would start on my car ASAP and get everything done the same day within 2 1/2 hours. They called me back 30 minutes later and told me that they would only do the oil change and didn't have time to do anything else. I told them that it's ridiculous that I dropped my car off for eight hours for an oil change I would have just taken it to a lube shop for a 30 minute change. An hour later I go and pick it up an hour and a half before they close and they didn't even touch my car, didn't even do the oil change, and filled me up with a bunch of dumb excuses of how they were busy. Here I write this review at a lube shop that is very busy as well but it's almost done with my oil change. Taking a 2000 mile road trip this weekend with questionable reliability due to this mechanic having a bunch of excuses and not properly attending to customers. Pathetic, arrogant, and excuse driven owner. Waste of money on Lyft's that they didn't have the decency to reimburse. Why mechanics are able to do this scammy stuff is beyond me. read more

I've been going to Dave at Automotive revival for two years now and not only is he a great mechanic, but he is incredibly fair and kind, recently had something happen with my car and had to bring it into Subaru because it would be covered under warranty. Dave Called just to check in and give me some advice. I really trust him and couldn't recommend him more. read more

Took my Sprinter van in to change out the passenger running board . Took existing one off in 10 min , and charged me such a fair price . Also did it on the spot. Going back to have him install a upgraded one . In fact , I plan on taking on 2018 Subaru for routine maintenance & other if needed. Dave was polite, professional and experienced with autos. I am so done with dealerships and getting overcharged and treated poorly , Take car auto to this guy ! read more

I made the mistake of going to another shop for an oil change before deciding to go back to Automotive Revival. It's a bit of a drive for me but absolutely worth it, considering the other shop left a 10mm wrench sitting under the hood and an air hose disconnected. Neither of those things were detrimental to my car but I feel a lot better knowing that Dave and the other mechanics pay attention to detail and don't make those kinds of oversights. Don't get Grease Monkeyed or Firestoned - just come here! I also felt very fortunate that they were able to work my car into the schedule without an appointment, although I plan on making one in the future. The shop is cozy and inviting as well if you decide to wait while the work is done. I plan to bring my beloved Toyota RAV4 here for 60,000 mile maintenance and any other work it may need in the future. read more

They a recommendation and I had my doubts upon entering the front door. I very quickly realized that was just me. They were quick and did what was they said they were going to do. Based on my service, I'll be recommending to everyone I can!! read more

The people here are fantastic!! Very genuine, honest, and nice people. I brought in a newer British sports car for a coolant leak. They stated that its not a vehicle that they usually work on, but they would do a pressure test on it and see whats leaking. They quickly found the issue but were very honest and recommended a few other specialty shops to do the work. They still gave me a price estimate and told me the book time so I knew what to expect from the other shops. I really appreciated their honesty that they were not the most comfortable working on the car and didnt just take the job for the money. Definitely taking some of my other vehicles that they do usually work on (hondas, toyotas, subarus, etc) when they need work in the future! read more

Dave knows his stuff and can reliably either fix whatever you bring him or at least diagnose the problem

Dave is hands down the best mechanic. He is honest and does a great job. I recommend him to everyone I know

Lack of communication. My friend visited this shop and there was a lack of communication specially when it comes to the price.

Mom & pop shop with 1-2 guys working. Super friendly, busy staff. Their rate for an oil change is about $60, about $10-15 less than Jiffy Lube. You can tell the guy is very knowledgeable and is good at communicating delays. Best to call for an appointment (leave a message if they don't pick up right away) rather than show up on the day of. Despite my showing up at 9am and having 6 cars to work on ahead of me, the guy still serviced my car and I was out at 5:15pm. Thank you!! read more

The only mechanics I should trust are Dave and his loyal crew. Dave drove to my apartment to fix my car when I couldn't even move it from my parking spot. What mechanic do you know takes a house call, changes your oil in your parking lot and even tells you how to clean up a mess the proper way? I don't even have friends who would help me out in that way. His prices and services are always honest just like he is. He fixed my car every time another shop has failed to do a simple service. I know better now to even take my car somewhere else. Thanks Dave! read more

Was visiting family in Denver. Car was stalling while idling. Called Automotive Revival and my goodness. They got me in within 2 hours and got the problem figured out in no tome. Waiting lobby is full of cool collectibles and a free pool table to pass the time. Reasonably priced and quick work. So nice to come to him during a long road trip being so far from Fargo, ND L. Had piece of mind with him. Texted me later to make sure everything was running. Amazing!!!!! read more

I was traveling through town and needed an oil change. I prefer private garages to the chains. Dave was just what I hoped for. He managed to fit me in and gave personal service. It's nice to have the owner working on your car. I had confidence going in and even more confidence after the work was completed. He checked my air filter and finding it in good condition didn't sell me something I didn't need. He also checked under the vehicle and noticed a loose bolt on my transmission cooler. That solved a small rattle that I had just begun to notice but hadn't even thought to mention. The waiting room has jazz and a pool table not to mention interesting coffee table books. Sure made the time pleasant. His fee was reasonable too. Everything to like about this garage! read more

Great customer service and fair pricing. Highly recommend!

Really good. Honest people, great work, personable service. What a relief to be able to trust an auto repair shop. Highly recommended.

Good guys. They can service everything from my classic muscle to my modern truck. They were able to get it done right and on time. Give the money to the man whose hand you shake. Hard working men deserve the bounty. read more

Just got my car back to health thanks to Dave. Our Subaru Forester made some weird noises and struggled a bit on the way back from the mountains and the dreaded check engine light came on. We had experienced something similar a couple years ago and had it looked at in conjunction with a recall fix at a dealer. They were obscure about the cause, offered a complicated fix, and charged us several hundred bucks including a few maintenance items. So, no dealer this time. Dave was super laid back, educational, and great to work with. He called a buddy who worked on a lot of Subarus for insight, and offered a simple solution that didn't cost much and told me how to avoid this issue in the future. I feel much better about our car now and know where to go the next time we have any trouble. If Dave can't fix it, he has the resources to find somewhere or someone else to get it done right and not rip you off. read more

My check engine and traction lights both came on in my Toyota Camry, and as I drive PT for Uber, I did a panicky search for a good auto shop to check out the problem. I found Automotive Revival and gave them a call- and am SO glad I did! Dave told me to drop it off and he'd give it a look the same day! I drove it there during my lunch break, Ubered back to my FT job and waited for the call. Dave ran the codes and looked under the hood. It turns out I had been "Grease-Monkeyed"! After getting an oil change/Air filter change at Grease Monkey that past week, the Air Volumetric Chamber for some reason had been disconnected, causing too much airflow to the engine. When I arrived back at Automotive Revival after work, Dave opened the hood and kindly explained what the problem was. He was knowledgeable and respectful- he laid everything out clearly, and I never felt taken advantage of or "bamboozled" if you will, which has always been a risk as a young woman walking into a new shop. Dave had reconnected the AVC, the lights on my dash went off, and my Toyota was running like new again! He highlighted a couple other issues on my car (wobbly braking- warped rotors, etc.) but told me honestly that it wasn't a necessary fix yet. He was honest and while he made me aware of other minor problems, he never tried to "sell" me on things I didn't need right then. I asked Dave what it would cost, and he told me not to worry about it. I'm sure this wouldn't be the case if my car had required extra work/parts/labor, because c'mon- cars take time and parts cost $$ and the man's gotta make a living- but even when he was quoting me on a part that may need replaced in the future, it was a reasonable, honest rate. I will be going to Dave for any other car trouble in the future! Thanks for making a potentially scary experience so much better! read more

Dave and all of the mechanics are wonderful! I highly recommend them. Pep Boys tried to charge me triple the amount. Dave is very fair, and only does what you need. Everyone was very professional, and my car drives 100% better. 5 stars! read more

Very honest mechanic. I definitely trust him to diagnose and repair my car's issues. If he can save you money, he will. I highly recommend him. read more

Nothing but overall excellent, thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, service here. Well, and a sweet black cat named Betty. I'm very glad that I made the choice to take my business here, instead of continuing to be gouged by the dealership for their shotty work. From now on, I will be taking my Subaru Crosstrek here for all types of maintenance. read more

Dave did a great job of fixing my car in a short amount of time at a reasonable price. Auto repairs are an easy area for people to be taken advantage of. The cars performance was from day to night after he worked on it! read more

Very good experience with Dave. Was honest and transparent. Car was finished on time and the work was great. Will highly recommend.

Best repair show I have ever been to. They were unbelievably nice and so helpful. They fixed as much as my car as they could for free before I took it to my insurance to get a quote. Everyone needs to go here! read more

Just another fan of Dave and his work. Honest mechanic with a ton of knowledge about cars. I just bought a new car so hopefully I won't see him for a while, so the least I can do is leave a five star review *****Great Mechanic!!' read more

Waking up and trying to go to work and finding your car doesn't start very stressful. But after a yelp search for automotive places I found automotive revival. Dave was able to get us in quickly and was very thorough with his analysis of my car repairs. Very upfront and honest and when I came and pick up my car The car repairs were under $100 we could've easily chose to replace my alternator for well over $400. He found a cheaper solution. You can trust that your car is in good hands with Dave and his staff. read more

Went in for an oil change, squeezed me in last minute, and will go back for all my maintenance! He gave me info about a couple problems, was very resourceful in helping to resolve, and realistic about what I should plan for in the future. Great experience! After just moving to the area, I feel very fortunate to have found Dave. read more

I highly recommend Automotive Revival! I have taken my car here from oil changes to fixing my brakes - they were always honest and fair and Dave even took me back into the shop to physically show me an issue with my car. The turnaround is quick, good quality & know they are not trying to oversell me anything. read more

Dave is awesome. He has fixed several of our cars, he even works on Toyota's. He really know what he's talking about, follows up with you after you leave to make sure everything is good. He is also incredibly fair with price. He never over charges and makes it easier to feel good about getting your car fixed. He is easy to get ahold of even on the weekends. If you have something wrong with your car big or small, I would go see Dave! read more

It's a little weird for me to think about Dave as "Automotive Revival", because I think he's been fixing my cars since he was just a guy in a garage. And that's a long damned time. But now that he's an official business (well, he's been that for quite awhile, actually, I'm just slow), I figured that the LEAST I owe him is a good honest review. Dave has helped me limp through a number of beaters, as well as taken care of my family's cars too. I recommend everyone to Dave and have for years -- bands rolling through town, people I've just met...but ESPECIALLY women. Dave is great with the ladies, and by that I mean: honest, trustworthy, respectful, and will explain things to you without treating you like you're stupid, and that's saying a lot. Not only that, but Dave has rescued me from parking lots and done the work right there, got my elderly Mom's car to pass emissions and didn't even charge her labor (sniff!), and helped me out of more binds than I have the memory to recount or you have the patience to read. Dude is SOLID. I've had some awful experiences with mechanics, and Dave has always given it to me straight, even when it was a painful reality check, and his prices are fair and honest. He'll listen to your needs and meet them, and not sell you a bunch of unnecessary bullshit. And on the chance he gets it wrong, he will always make it right -- he will, as he puts it, make your car "behave", if it's the last thing he does. read more

Wow. All these 5 star reviews are spot on. If there were more stars possible Dave & Automotive Revival would have earned them. Not only is he super knowledgeable about random things this particular car needs, he really goes out of his way to be awesome even to new costumers like us. Brought our ford focus to have breaks replaced, job was done super fast, they now work and sound so much better, charged less than he quoted which was the going rate, AND he even stayed open late to accommodate my late pick up. Thank you Dave!!!!!! On my 2nd visit he happened to be in the shop even tho he was technically closed, he open his doors. Incredible. Fixed a broken light, back on the road, in minutes. Incredible pricing. This guy! read more

Dave was able to evaluate my car the same day that I called to make an appointment. He called me later that day, as promised, to let me know what was wrong with the car and to give me an estimate. He had the car ready for me to pick up the following afternoon at the time he had predicted. I am new to town and don't know much about cars so I was nervous about getting taken advantage of. I did some research on mechanics and this experience was true to the reviews. I will definitely go back here if my car has problems in the future. read more

I was looking for someone to help me inspect a used car I just bought. After a quick drive he recognized that something was missing. Turned out to be a bolt to the transmission mount. That would have been a bad situation. Super grateful to these guys. Will definitely be back. read more

My car broke down at about 5:00 in the evening. They came out and looked at the problem and said they would take care of it the next day at the shop. My 08 Honda Fit had a blinking Check engine light which means a really serious problem with the car. Dave had me back on the road quickly and the problem was completely resolved. The rate was more than reasonable. I will always keep taking my vehicles there. Honest, knowledgable and reasonably priced. Very hard to find mechanics that have all three. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you! read more
