This place has always been my go to mechanic but the last couple years has been a steady decline since gaylon quit working in the shop and stays upfront, three times I have taken a vehicle there and it came back worse than when I brought it in, twice in the last year I've taken my car back because the problem came back within two days of them fixing it, otherwise they have always been honest and sincere and truly care about you and your car. Can't believe I haven't reviewed them yet lol but they do need to work on there craftsmanship and quality. read more

I've done business with 8 auto shops around town over the last few years. I was strongly referred to AutoMD by a long time friend. He takes all of his vehicles in, from a 66 Stingray to his newer vehicles. I took this strong recommendation up and discovered an honest shop with qualified trouble shooting mechanics. I have a background with Navy aviation maintenance, and I understand the difference between a shop that trouble shoots a problem and the type of shops that simply replaces parts. AutoMD has trouble shot every issue on my vehicles, and presented the information to me and allowed me to make a decision. I was never pressured into making a decision. I do not often give 5 stat reviews. The value presented to me by AutoMD deserves a 6 star review. read more

If you look at my other reviews, you will notice I'm from Michigan. I was in town visiting family when my car started to make a horrific exhaust noise; there was a bit of a time crunch too (noise started on Thursday night, Friday they're open, and we needed to leave Sunday). My family said Auto MD was the only place they took their vehicles. Galen was able to squeeze me in on very short notice, very kind and helpful, and treated me well. Thankfully, my issue was not large, which helped in getting it done quickly. I also benefited from him knowing my family pretty well, but I think going for a couple oil changes and/or scheduled repairs would easily get him to know you as well. read more

Our friends told us about Automotive MD when we first moved here. We went to a well known large car dealership in town that was offering a $25 oil change. I brought my vehicle in and they told me it needed $2500 in front end work done and could get the parts right away. I am assuming because I was a woman they thought they could milk me. I said we will get a second opinon. We ended up bringing our vehicle to Galen and asked for just a general inspection. He mentioned none of the issues that the other place "found" and when we asked about those issues, he said there was nothing wrong with them. 7 years later and the vehicle still doesn't need the $2500 in repair work the other place said it did. We have used Automotive MD several times over the last 18 months for both of our Honda vehicles. Galen is fair and honest - he will not push you into something you do not need. Pricing is fair and below what the dealer would charge even though he frequently uses the same Honda parts. I was referred to Automotive MD a few years ago when I thought my transmission was dying. It turned out it wasn't but I had a few other minor issues and Galen and Chris have always taken great care of me and my vehicle. They explain things in such a way that anyone can understand it. They are very knowledgeable, competent and personable. On Tuesday afternoon my 2005 Ford Escape killed in the drive thru and I had it towed to the shop. Galen advised me it could be 2-3 days before they could look at it as they were swamped. It was the alternator (as I suspected) and it turned into a 5 hour job (AWD). Long story short, I got it back first thing Thursday morning! And Galen called me several times with updates. I don't trust many mechanics (been burned before), but I totally trust these guys. I tell many, many people about them (I should stop so they don't get too busy) and several people advised me they also go there and are very satisfied with the service they receive. read more
