I was stopped on 130th on aroura today (2/1) because of a man making threats and trying to come to me (information private, not going to say anything) while I was trying to go to work, and every one of the police offers were there to make sure that I was safe. This isn't the first time Seattle PD has came to save my day, and I am writing this review because I wanted to give thanks to the police officer that helped me. I didn't have time to grab names, but he was older, white bald and had a beard. Thank you.

IM TELLING YOU I ONLY WAITED 15 MINS! THE OFFICER WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT I NEED TO DO AND NOT DO, AND LET ME KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE FUTURE. He then wrote my case number on a card and told me where to reach out for questions. COULDNT OF GONE BETTER! I wish I looked at this outstanding officers name. I'll try to find it using my case # and I'll update!! Bottom line, I've been hearing all these horrible things about not so much our police but police around the US. So I was kinda expecting a little of what I've been hearing. NOT THIS OFFICER! AND NOT SEATTLE POLICE! Every word communicated was positive and efficient both on the phone and in person. THIS OFFICER WAS OUTSTANDING!! That was a huge relief to know SEATTLE is putting officers like this under their light bars! These people are HEROS! And, it's FREE!…read more It's a popular spot to watch boats pass between the saltwater of Puget Sound and the freshwater of the Lake Union/Lake Washington, using a system of chambers to raise or lower them. The locks help boats move between the higher freshwater lakes and the lower Puget Sound, adjusting the water levels to let them pass smoothly. Watching the water levels rise and fall to guide boats through is very cool to watch! There's a Fish Ladder with a subterranean viewing area that allows you to watch salmon and sometimes seals and sea lions as they migrate upstream. Best viewing times mid-June to September. Unfortunately, we were there too early but I saw a sea lion. Lots of green trees and beautiful botanical gardens. There's a small marina. There's paid self parking. I would definitely want to come back!

There is this one Asian lady (I believe she is Korean) who helps me most of the time when I'm there, and she is great every time! She explains how things work thoroughly, whether I'm there for mailing in my old passport to get it renewed or sending a package to Japan. She is also very careful about putting in the correct address so I feel more comfortable and confident getting help from her. She also has good energy level and is nice to talk to. Being in customer-facing job myself, she inspires me to do better at my job too. This may be common knowledge, but since they do not let you use mailing tools like glue, tapes, or scissors, I recommend bringing them from home if you plan on packing on-site.

The "on-hold" area is easy to navigate, and it's right next to the self checkout station so if you need to quickly pop in to grab your stuff then check out, it's super convenient.
