Al is my go to guy for any transmission repairs. Honest and reliable! Two words you usually don't hear very often when dealing with the automotive industry. Al fixed my transmission and provided a warranty on it for a year!! The car light came just after a year(outside of the warranty) and he happily checked it and fixed whatever the issue was for free. AL is Amazing!!!!! In the process of getting my emissions test, I found out I had a problem with my transmission. Being a nubie to this type of automotive problem, I did the logical thing.....I went to Mr. Transmission......BIG MISTAKE. They proceeded to tell me that finding out what was wrong was all a very mysterious process that I would never understand. Suffice it to say I was on my way....looking for a new transmission repair place. As luck would have it I found Al. He was knowledgable, honest, and very patient.....explaining everything to me step by step......turns out it wasn't such a big mystery after all. Highly recommended! Professional, friendly and trustworthy. I previously had my transmission fixed here and was beyond happy with the work they did. Brought my car back 8 months later for what was a separate issue and Al went above and beyond to help me out. I appreciate most that they have my best interest front and center; I am just looking to maintain an old car without breaking the budget and they did just that. The go-to place for transmission issues! I don't often post reviews but after my experience with Al and his team at Automatics Plus Transmissions, I had to share. I usually look forward to visits to mechanics the same way I do dentists, expecting a painful and expensive experience. However, Al and his team put my mind at ease. I was recommended to them by my usual mechanic so right there is a huge endorsement; this is where mechanics go for solutions -they are THAT good. I was sent there with transmission issues for my 2007 Mazda 3. Al took the time to diagnose and explain the issues to me (no 'mansplaining' here ladies!) and went over the solution/costs and then...fixed the problem! My car is running like a dream now. Everyone working there is highly skilled, knowledgeable, friendly and professional - and just all around a great team...and when you meet Al you know why.
