Hello, is this business still open and in business? I call and it says VM is full, then I call again and it just hangs up. And the company website is gone. Any updates?

Greetings Christopher, today we are closed to allow employees time to enjoy Spring Break with their families and little ones. We will be back in the office on Monday. I will make sure someone reaches out to you.

Is the business still open? Haven't been able to reach anyone at the number. VM is full and can't leave message. There is also no note at the business itself to indicate closure or vacation.

Good morning Will, Happy New Year. We are back open; we were closed during Christmas & New Year week.

So I go to Toyota for normal Toyotacare and service but this time around the rep from Toyota tells…read moreme my 2020 prius needs some "work." They say my rear brake pads and rotors need to be replaced + my rear shocks are leaking and are dead. They want $780 for the rear brakes and rotors then another $1250 for rear shocks and alignment. $2,030 worth of repairs for a 6 year old car with about 48000 miles on it. Obviously don't pay this if your car can still run fine and I immediately start searching for auto shops for help. I find out about Atech Auto by sending in a Yelp request and Alex gets back to me same day. He quotes me HALF the price Toyota wanted and can get me in the shop next weekend when I was free. Pretty good deal when compared to some other quotes I got. Bring my car in on Saturday around 9am and it probably doesn't get done until around 3pm. There isn't really a waiting area except for some lawn chairs. It's best to take an uber or ride Muni somewhere else to kill some time until your car is ready. Probably my only feedback is I wish they would've called me when my car was ready rather than me guessing and calling them, but hey they looked busy. Got the car back, paid the agreed price, and was on my way. I don't notice a huge change with how the car feels but I at least appreciate not being up charged twice the amount for similar services. Would recommend reaching out to them if you ever need to work on your car!

I went and dropped it off and he GUESSED (didn't do a full diagnostic test) it was a fuel pump issue and said he's 95% it was that. Told us a certain price and after the car was done, a few days later, he called and upped the price $200 more for no reason. After 2 weeks of having my car my car didn't start AGAIN. AAA insurance came and did a diagnostic and said it was the battery needed a new one so I got one and my car sounds better and issues was solved. Alex (owner) over charges people and doesn't do a thorough job. REPLYING TO THE COMMENT(Alex): I find it very unprofessional that you as a owner / business man would put your customers name, car, family business, and bring up how much you've helped have helped them on here. First off I'm a WOMAN my name is on my yelp, I don't have to hide or lie. This is MY yelp so I get to put my opinion and experience on here. Did I feel like I got overcharged, yes from $500 as quoted the first time to $700 before picking it up. There's many mechanics that ordered things on Amazon for their customers. Other businesses owners would comment after negative reviews with " we apologize for that experience" not argue back. It's very weird how you mentioned how much you help and do for others. My experience is my experience and my opinion is my opinion.

That's far too uncommon these days, but Hill Top is one of those rare auto service centers that does this and more. I bring my Acura NSX here from Saratoga... about 45 minutes away, because I really only want Don at Hill Top to work on it. He's known as an NSX expert, but more importantly, he's just an honest, talented mechanic for any vehicle (especially Hondas and Acuras). Don and wife Diana are a great team that deserves your business and will earn your trust and admiration.

I believe partly due to the upkeep and service we get from this shop. Between the two of us we've probably had.. oil changes, brake replacements, spark plug change, starter repair, suspension work, general tune-up etc. Don always recommends things that he thinks the car absolutely needs not just to tally up a large total on a bill (also his prices are fair). He's an honest mechanic with a ton of experience on Hondas and Acuras (I think ex dealership mechanic?). You can tell purely by the quantity of NSX's which probably have a cult following, in the lot. It's a family business, Don and Diane want you in and out with a functional vehicle. Maybe that rubs people the wrong way but I would always recommend them.

A negative -5 star for Randy and Sons! Dont ever take your classic car to them and if you do make…read moresure you check the work carefully and thoroughly. I was recommended to them because someone i know had took his old-school to them. That was the biggest mistake ive made. Randy had my car for a little over 8 months. Took it back about 4 too many times to fix his mess ups. Took it in to get a few things done to the car. Which was replacing headers so i can get new exhaust installed, change the drum brakes all around and convert over to disc brakes on my 1969 buick skylark.i ordered all the parts,i also ordered the exhaust that is made to fit the vehicle. Since he had the vehicle he said he would install the exhaust so he can test drive it when he was done. Months later he finally told me he was done with the brakes, headers and exhaust for me to come grab my vehicle. When i went to grab my vehicle i noticed the exhaust wasn't laying flat how it normally does on cars. I asked him why is it at a 45 degree angle and so low to the ground? He said thats how it was sent. As i was pulling out of the driveway feom his shop, the exhaust scrapped really bad. I ended up taking it to Golden auto muffler shop in Daly city. Soo as they put it on the lift they immediately told me that the exhaust was installed backwards and they cut the exhaust to make it fit backwards. They ended up fixing Randys mess up. I called Randy and told him about the exhaust being installed backwards he then apologized and then said he's going to be honest, when he was out of town he had his cousin install it and that he owes me for that. Reguardless if it was his cousin or not,it still falls on Randy. So i drove it another time and showed my friend the work that Randy did. Soon as i opened the hood to show him,he immediately seen that there were missing screws on the exhaust and the gaps in between the the headers and the threads you can see in between the headers. Meaning there was a exhaust leak. So i called Randy and told him how come he told me he was done but he really wasnt. He then told me that theres missing bolts because the bolts had broke in the block and what do i want him to do about it? I told him. Do your job and drill them out and put new ones in like any other mechanic would do! The next day i noticed a gas smell. I opened the hood and seen it was gas leaking from a hose he put on the carburetor. The clamps were so loose it was leaking i easily pulled it off. So i tightened it up. Randy is a rip off a con artist. I ened up calling BAR on his shop because i got tired of dealing with him and not trying to fix his mess ups. The inspector came out and him and his wife tried to rewrite the invoice but they didnt know i already sent the inspector the original paperwork and pictures of everthing was wrong with my vehicle! When they gave the inspector the new invoice they wrote up,the inspector told them that thats not the original invoices. They tried to convince him it was until he showed them what he had and then they said oh,that invoice and then gave it to him. All the paperwork/invoice they gave me were wrong, nothing was never documented, they also tried surprising me with an extra 2200 that i never agreed toor even knew of. Randy put me through so much troubles and problems. I can go on and on about Randy and his dishonest self and the faulty work they done but itll be a book about him and the work they so called done. What got me more pissed is that i put a airtag in my vehicle that he didnt know of. This dude took my convertible to his house without me knowing until i looked at the airtag. I ended up taking him to court. I ended up winning the case. If i had a judge that knew about cars it wouldve been a better outcome for me! Randy Threw or hid all my old parts i was suppose to grab after the case was over. He said the scrap guys took it,but when i showed up to look for it there was scrap metal everywhere at his shop. DO NOT,I'LL SAY IT AGAIN. DO NOT TAKE YOU OLD SCHOOL TO THIS GUY. HE NEEDS TO STAY IN HIS LANE AND STICK TO THE SMALL STUFF LIKE OIL CHANGES,TUNE UPS,CHANGING TIRES ALL THE SMALL STUFF! BUT STILL DOUBLE CHECK HIS WORK/THE WORK BEING DONE TO YOUR CAR IF YOU TAKE IT TO THEM! ITS HARD TO FIND GOOD AND HONEST MECHANICS NOWADAYS!
