Very happy to recommend this business and its very professional, knowledgeable, and competent owner. Bob, the owner/operator of Automatic Appliance Service, was prompt and efficient. Returned my initial call promptly and came to the house at the time he said he would to check out my stove. He diagnosed the problem and called me later, when he said he would, with the estimate for parts and labor. He again showed up on time to perform the repair, which fixed the problem. read more

The baking element on our 30 year old wall oven died last week. I called Automatic Appliance for help and once again they were able to order the part, repair the oven, and save the day just in time for Easter dinner! Every time we've called, we've had a great experience. Thank you to Jim, for troubleshooting it over the phone, and to Rob for coming out and installing the part. read more

Don't even think of going anywhere else to buy an appliance! I've used Automatic Appliance to purchase two large appliances, with unheard of excellent customer service. When my LG fridge (NOT purchased from Automatic Appliance) died right before the holidays, Jim and staff offered kindness and generosity not typically seen these days. I will NEVER purchase another appliance from anywhere else. Jim and his staff are kind, knowledgeable, HONEST, and efficient. Do yourself a favor and make this your first and last stop for a new appliance. You won't be sorry! read more

Jim helped me troubleshoot my Whirlpool fridge over the phone. It was "snowing" in the freezer and the refrigerator was not cooling my food. Jim has a great sense of humor and really knows his stuff! He took the time to check the cost of parts as well as the cost to repair it. He determined that it really was a manufacturing issue with Whirlpool and recommended that I call Whirlpool directly. As it turned out, Jim was right. It was a quality issue with the compressor. Whirlpool will cover it at no charge to me. Thank you Jim for your honesty and for steering me in the right direction. I highly recommend this business! read more

I called them to inquire about replacing the glass cooktop on our electric range and they got back to me quickly. They provided a very itemized quote (part cost, shipping and tax, repair cost, etc.) and included the cost of replacing the whole range so we could make an informed decision about whether to proceed with the repair. In further conversations, I was encouraged to call the manufacturer again (we'd gone down this road without luck) and we were able to have the cooktop replaced at no cost through the manufacturer with this guidance. Truly stellar customer service from Joanne and Pam! That said, I'd happily purchase an appliance from Automatic Appliance Service in the future and/or consider them for repairs. I feel like it's unusual today to find such incredible customer service AND honesty and professionalism in a company. read more

First time customer: I had used another company for appliance service for many years, and it was sold. (The less said about the new company, the better.) A friend recommended Automatic Appliance. Their service technician, Bob, was wonderful...he arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, did a temporary patch, ordered the necessary part, and returned several days later to install it to fix my leaking refrigerator. No more puddle on my floor! I recommend this company's service without reservation. read more

My Whirlpool refrigerator wasn't cooling even though the freezer was working fine. I went through the usual basic diagnostics (e.g. fan, condenser, vent, etc) and didn't have any luck. So I decided to give AAS a call based on the positive reviews. I spoke with Joann and she was wonderful and was able to schedule me in quickly due to a cancellation. Bob (technician) arrived at 9:38am the next day and left by 9:47am. During which time, he took one look at the freezer cabinet and saw a light coating of frost on it, and proceeded to research the cost of replacing the associated components (~$550) that may or may not be at fault (didn't even pull the fridge out from the wall to look in the back). When I inquired about the diagnosis, he said with his 42 yrs of experience, this is how he has always done this type of repair by replacing all of the potential components. Mind you there is a flat fee (~$100) associated with this visit, and I am more than happy to pay it if I feel the technician at least made an attempt on any kind of repair. If I hadn't ask a few questions during the visit, I am certain the entire duration would have been 5 minutes or less. How would you like it if you take your car in for repair, and the technician "looks" at your vehicle and says you need a replacement of internal parts. I feel guilty writing this as this is a family owned business, and it appears you have worked very hard to build your reputation. However, as someone who is inclined to read multiple reviews before attempting any contract hires, I feel the need to post my experience to level set your expectation. read more

Super great help from family member of the owner. Jim was fantastic. He sold me our dishwasher AND delivered and installed the new one. They have been in business over 60 years. Wish I knew of them sooner. read more

I had a great experience Automatic Appliance! It's a family business. Their website makes it easy to search for and compare items. Both times I called I spoke to different people (Pat was one) and they were both very friendly and helpful. They were also reasonably priced. The two young men (Kyle & AJ?) who handled the delivery were prompt, careful and friendly. I will definitely use them again! read more

Automatic Appliance Service - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Framingham, Massachusetts

I've called these guys for a few different appliances - washing machine, dryer, dishwasher. The people they've sent are always great, efficient, friendly, and thorough. One of the best things about them is that they often are able to diagnose and fix basic problems over the phone, saving me the cost of a service visit and charging me nothing. If you live in their service area these folks should be your first (and only) call when you have an issue with your appliance. I wish every business was willing to put the customer first the way Automatic Appliance does. I especially like talking the folks who answer the phones, who are always patient, knowledgeable and upbeat. I can't say enough good things. I'll stop there. read more

I have used Automatic appliance to purchase all my appliances and service them for many years. I have never been disappointed by the products or the service. Joanne, Jim, Bob, and Pam are incredibly helpful and friendly. I feel like I am purchasing from family. Most recently we had a near disaster in our home when a part from our 11 year old dryer broke, discharging gas in the machine. Fortunately this was remedied quickly by our energy supplier. When it was determined by a plumber that the dryer could not be fixed, we immediately went to Automatic appliance and Joanne and Jim were able to see to it that our dryer was replaced in just a few days.I can't recommend this company enough and will be sure to continue using Automatic appliance to service or purchase appliances in the future! read more

My husband and I went here after a recommendation from Sostilio & Sons plumbing. We had a clogged drain and our overflowing broken dishwasher. Automatic Appliances is a family owned store and everyone is very professional and so kind. We bought a dishwasher within 30 mins. We worked with Pam who helped us go through all the dishwashers that met our needs. We bought and ordered Friday and it was delivered and installed Wednesday. The guys that installed it did everything. They were prompt and professional! They took out the old dishwasher and hooked up the new one. They took the time to walk me through all the new dishwasher's features that it offered and the warranty that they provide at no additional cost. Very professional and no need to hire different people- all in one appliance service. Bonus- they love dogs and my dog kept bringing them toys to play. We will be replacing a few other aging appliances in the near future. Definitely will go back!!! We won't look at any other appliances store. Their service is impeccable and that is what will keep us as customers! No need to look at any other appliances at any other stores! Highly recommended! read more

Absolutely recommend these guys for home appliance repair and purchase. Will service even if you did not purchase it from them! They have a real sense of urgency to get you the help you need. Had a great experience with these folks for a purchase/delivery/install of our laundry center. Pam and Joanne were very informative and responsive in the sale and the delivery team did a great job - they were quick and accommodating as I had to be on a business call in the middle of the install. Highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough about the service we received from this company and in particular Bob. I called last week because our refrigerator was making a squealing noise. As luck would have it a technician was in the area, it was Bob! Very nice and knowledgeable. Always professional and helpful. Pam was extremely nice and extremely helpful as well. I will be using them as long as I can! read more

We had a great experience with the friendly and knowledgeable salesperson (Pam?) several years ago when buying a couple of appliances. We had a recent problem with our dishwasher and called for service. The person on the phone was able to coach me in repairing it myself over the phone. I mentioned this experience to a friend at work, and they had a similar experience. read more

First class service. I called Automatic Appliance to have a look at a refrigerator in my tenant's apartment that wasn't cooling. The service man called before coming (always a big plus). He quickly diagnosed a failed compressor - the fridge was dead. If I came down to the showroom before noon he could get me a new refrigerator the next day. So I hustled down to the showroom, where the same guy was tending shop (small business, high touch). He picked out a floor model for me that had just been discounted. He said he'd deliver it in about an hour and a half. A half hour later, he was there. It was so fast, I hadn't even had time to move my car out of the driveway, and I was stuck on a phone call. No problem, the service/sales/delivery man moved it for me. Fifteen minutes later, the new fridge was in the, the old one had been removed and my problem was solved. There are several big box retailers within five minutes of Automatic Appliance, but this small company will get my business again and again because of its outstanding service. Update Sept., 2011 This small appliance retail and service operator really is as good as it gets. My allegiance was solidified last year when my dryer stopped heating. I called AA to send someone out to take a look. I was fully ready to write a check for $200 or $300, but the store manager tried to talk me through ways to FIX THE PROBLEM MYSELF. in other words, he was happy to leave money on the table if he could save me some money. Why don't more businesses work this way? It turns out the dryer was broken and needed to be replaced. Guess who got that business? And my business for a new washer, and a new refrigerator, and for every major appliance I will ever buy as long as I live in this area. These guys absolutely rock. read more

Can't say enough about Jim and the crew at Automatic Appliance in Framingham. Just decent, good people offering fair prices and fantastic customer service. While we've been a customer for years for both buying and repair (washer, dryer, dishwasher repair, garbage disposal) our most recent purchase was a new refrigerator. They did their best to see if the old one could be fixed, then gave us a great price on a one (Jim encouraged me to price the same model at any of the nearby big box stores.) What prompted this Yelp review was the delivery. They were in and out quickly, and except for the gleaming new refrigerator in the kitchen you never would have known they were there. They disposed of the old fridge, moved all of the rugs back where they belonged, and even (wait for it...) PUT A 6-PACK OF BEER INTO THE FRIDGE TO COOL!!! These guys are the best. Worth the drive from anywhere. read more

I came across Automatic Appliance service through an Internet search, steered primarily by the positive reviews I found. I have to say that I highly recommend them for any service. The person who answered the phone (Jim), was not only courteous, but also very knowledgeable and most importantly, very honest! he took the time not to simply make a "blind" appointment, but instead, he tried to find a possible cause and see if this would be a repair that made sense. We spend quite some time on the phone and came to a conclusion that it was a better choice to get a different service due to the nature of the problem. Next time, no more places to search; based on this experience, I would not hesitate to contact them again for any future services, thanks Jim! read more

My 11 year old stove/oven broke and I needed a replacement. I visited Automatic Appliance on Rt 9 and they were very helpful with information on new models, promotions and install details. Got a great deal on a nice oven, with features I've always wanted. Jim Green was there when he said he's be, brought a plumber, and when the plumber made a mistake, he came back (at 4pm on July 3rd) and squeezed into a tight spot with pliers for an hour to get my new oven working. I highly recommend Automatic Appliance, and suggest you go there first for any appliance problem or purchase. read more

We happened upon Automatic Appliance through a local group. Having tried several other local establishments, I would highly recommend this company. Our repair was simple and we were charged appropriately for the service. The fellow who came to our house was professional, friendly and knowledgable about our appliance. I have bought all of my appliances from Automatic Appliance for over 40 years. I also use them for any repairs needed as my appliances last forever. I worked as a Realtor for 40 years, recommending AA to my clients and friends. Jim and Joanne never disappointed anyone. When I started going to AA, Joanne's father helped me. I have actually been dealing with this awesome company since the 1980's. Yes its true! I was always struck by how nice and genuine the staff and owners are. Let's face it its a fabulous family owned and run business which makes this company real and super caring about its service and happy customers. I just bout a new washer and dryer ...I got my last one there in 1989 and basically it has worked perfectly for decades. When I ordered my new combo they knew me, what I had bought, where I lived and the fact that I had the laundry on the upstairs...unbelievable after all those years. Same great service I got in the 80's I got last week in 2108...now that's why this is the kind business we have to keep supporting a dying breed people who take pride in delivering quality service and products. read more

This is exactly the appliance buying experience you're hoping for. Smart people, no pressure, as much info and background as you need, and good advice if you ask for it. And you get the appliance that works for you and your household. Excellent selection. Deep inventory. Member of a buying coop that allows them to beat the big-box price. Delivery and installation by a trusted employee who might even be a family member (it's a family business). I don't want to set unreasonable expectations, but I happened to buy a dryer that was in stock, and it was delivered within a couple of hours. This is not a usual service they offer, but (owner) Jim took pity on me and saved me from multiple trips to a laundromat. Nice work, guys, and thanks. read more

My dishwasher failed abruptly and a friend recommended Automatic Appliance. I got there right as the opened at 8 am. Jim pointed me to a model that hit my budget and performance. It was great to work with a local shop that provides personal service. read more

In the future, we will purchase all of our major appliances from Automatic Appliances. read more

I was scheduled to have service between 3-5 and like clockwork, Jim showed up as promised. I was having issues with my dishwasher and within 20 minutes, Jim had that baby humming along. It's rare these days to find a company who has all of those qualities but look no further- Jim and his team are ready willing and more than able. read more

I love these guys. They've done 2 houses for me, kitchens, laundries etc. Class A service for new and repairs. Small shop. Personal service. prices to match anyone and you don't get stuck calling an 800# if something goes wrong. All I can say is "Ditto, ditto, ditto." Very nice people to deal with. Lowest pressure sales I've ever seen (Jim said to us, "If your current washing machine, although 13 years old, still works, why not wait until it breaks or dies before replacing it?") They showed up when they were supposed to, no nicks or scratches on the new washer, were neat and professional, levelled and tested the new washer. Automatic Appliance is now our go-to source for repairs or new equipment. read more

Due to our great initial experience, we went back looking for a new 2nd refrigerator. Our dryer started making a terrible screeching noise so we took it apart and figured out the problem. We called Automatic Appliance to see if they had the parts we needed in stock and they did. The parts were reasonably priced and were much more convenient than ordering online where we wouldn't get the expertise help Thank goodness for places like this! read more

I was looking for a washer dryer and read about Automatic Appliance on Yelp. I investigated the big stores on line but needed more information. Space was important as was price point. My husband and I drove to Automatic Appliance and (unknown to us) after closing hours on Saturday Jim opened the door and greeted us. He could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable. He did not try to up-sell us. He provided candid opinions on brands and cost value. Automatic Appliance is a family business and I asked how their prices would compare to the big box stores. Jim explained that they are part of a small store cooperative type group that combines orders for lower cost from manufacturers. Every single thing Jim told us happened exactly as he said - cost estimate to delivery. I could not have had a better experience and am delighted with our purchases. Next time I need an appliance I know where I'm heading. Jim and Automatic Appliance are simply the best! read more

Jim & Joanne are awesome. They treat you like you were their only customer. We were looking for a gas stove, but not too expensive as it is going in an apartment we are just renting. Joanne found us the perfect stove at a great price. Being that it was a gas stove we needed a professional plumber to install it. Joanne coordinated the delivery and the install (plumber) and everything went off with out a hitch. Out with the old, in with the new and all done in 40 minutes. Joanne even found us a $100 rebate to send for. Great people......great business. We highly recommend Automatic Appliance Service as your go to for all your appliance needs. read more
