Our car seats are so tight that I'm not sure if they're ever gonna come out of this car . I've even taken family Members to have their seats looked at, and Chris does it all with a smile. What I appreciate about Chris and Mike is that when we had a very noisy power seat (it still works, just sounds like chewbacca's mating call) they were honest with us, and said that the cost of trying to figure out what was wrong and then fix it was more than it was worth, and they didn't want to see us waste our money! While I've never had any work done with them, if it's ever needed, I know they will be my first call

Our electrical guy suggested trying a body shop, so we stopped by Central Island Auto Body to see if they could help. Jason was incredibly friendly and helpful. We asked him about painting our bumper too and he said he'd work up a quote. We talked about the leak and he said he'd be happy to look at it for us. He immediately ordered a new seal for the door and said he'd call when it came in. He called within two days and we made an appointment to drop the van off. When we did he had the van for most of the day. He replaced the seal. He realigned the doors. He fixed the interior panel on one door. He blew out the water that had gotten into the carpet from the leak. The doors works better, looks better and NO MORE LEAK!! We really couldn't be happier. And his price was very reasonable. He also quoted doing the bumper and it was comparable to a well known chain body shop known for cheap work, but I'd feel way better about taking the van back to Jason at Central Island Auto Body. We plan to do that next month. They really did a good job and Jason seems like a great guy. His partner was also very friendly and helpful the little we spoke to him. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend them if you need any sort of body work.

We took off a star because the end cost was more than double the initial estimate. We were initially quoted $700 for the work based on the pictures I sent, and after a phone call when I explained the issues, he said give or take $200 more, but in the end, we had to pay $1,500 (plus a $100 tip). Dino explained that this was because there was some work needed that wasn't visible in the photos I sent. It might still be a good price overall compared to what I'll pay at the body shop, but for other potential buyers, just make sure you send all the photos of the things that need repairing so that you don't get surprised by the end cost.

Then I remembered that there were auto body shops behind Lakeland Ave in Ronkonkoma. I looked up a few and was surprised to find one with ninetyish reviews and all "5's". I'm not sure that he really wanted to work on a classic car, but he didn't say no like all the other places. Considering he was working with a 65 year old fiberglass body, I am amazed at what he and his crew accomplished. He noticed things on the car that I never noticed and repaired them beautifully. Most of all, he really cared about doing a great job. I could not have been luckier to find Sully Boys Auto. I hope I never have a accident where I need auto repair, but if I do, there is no chance I will go to anyone else other than David!
