When I called them, they were willing to help and called a driver, Louise, who came up, sized up the situation, and used the lifting the back of his flatbed to left the rear of the 67 Mustang and then backed it up onto the flatbed and centered it perfectly. I have never been to a place where the filter wasn't included in the price. It definitely does not say that on the pricing sign. The other possibility is the guy who was trying to upsell me tricked me into upgrading the oil filter. At one point he showed me the filter he was putting in and said "this is a synthetic oil filter." All I said was "oh cool." I just thought he was showing me, along with other things he showed me like the condition of the oil drain plug and washer. I NEVER agreed to any upcharge for a synthetic oil filter. I explicitly told him many times I was getting the oil changed because I was putting the truck up for sale. I'm not going agree to a fancy, and quite frankly pointless upgrade. So whether they just charge separately for the filter all the time or this guy scammed me, this company employs deceptive practices to make more money so beware.

Our family recently purchased a 2017 US-made runabout with short of 100k miles for twin 15-year-olds to learn to drive and get around town and relieve their mother of taxi duties in the long run. It needed quite a bit of work to bring it up to snuff, though the base vehicle is still solid and has a lot of life left in it. We did some of the cosmetic and easy stuff (replace sun visor, engine air filter, cabin air filter, change oil) done ourselves, got the used-car dealer to fix the front sub-frame that was bent and out of alignment), and postponed some longer-term work (brakes eventually will need new pads in the rear). But this 1.8L "interference" engine will be destroyed if the timing belt fails, and they recommend replacement every 100k miles, so we asked this shop to put replace the belt, water pump, and thermostat so the twins won't have to deal with catastrophic engine failure when on the road as new drivers. They not only did that and replaced the rear struts (leaking) with the new ones I had shipped to us, but they did it in around a day of shop time. The car was ready far sooner than we expected, and everything was in perfect order. This shop is also part of the network the used car dealer employs for its own warranty work, so the car is covered in case anything unexpected turns up in the next year. Top marks!

An attendant took my key & started on it right away. It was finished in a timely manner. When presented with the invoice, there was a $56.99 charge for full service. I told the manager i didn't want all that, just an oil change. He asked, "You just wanted a basic oil change?" I told him yes and he replied, "We don't do basic oil changes," implying that the $57 service charge was standard in addition to the $44 paid for the oil change. Outrageous! Nowhere in the service station did I see any posting that this was standard pricing. So, I then looked at the checklist of items supposedly supplied for this service. The battery was not checked. There was some corrosion around the terminal posts. I asked if these could be cleaned. He told me no, they don't do anything with batteries. Then I noticed that my wiper blades had been "checked," whatever that meant. I knew that my wiper blades needed to be replaced and had just bought new ones at Auto Zone a half-hour before the oil change. So, I asked the manager if his crew could at least replace the wiper blades. He said they could at an additional cost of $14.99 per blade. Like I said, this place is a total rip-off; no real care for customer service, just finding anyway possible to make a buck off unsuspecting customers. Next time, it'll be Walmart for an oil change.

Recently on a Monday morning while preparing to drive to Denver to catch a flight I found a tire on my car flat. It was a leaky valve stem. I called Knecht to see what they could do for me. They were very busy but said they could get it in the afternoon. I told them my situation about needing to be in Denver and I would head out as soon as they had the car done. Without inconveniencing the other customers, the shop owner actually did the work himself and got me on the road by 10:30. The work was done fast and it was done correctly.
