I was on a cross country trip in my RV with my wife following behind in our Toyota RAV4. Went to Auto Zone because that's who I used in Vegas when I lived there. When I parked, I walked up and Christian was there standing just outside the door. I asked him if he'd help me by telling me which tail light was out so I could get a replacement bulb. Had the pleasure of working with Ryan one of the Managers at autozone tonight & we ran into the problem that my battery was bad, and was thankfully still covered under warranty, problem was that the battery was no longer in stock & no longer made we ran into the issue when trying to upgrade the battery due to it being no longer in stock & well Ryan went above and beyond to help me out in getting a new battery for my truck and I'm thankful for that definitely a good worker and was very professional & that says a lot coming from me because this is the 2nd time I ever write a Yelp review in 5 years read more

I don't always get into the zone but when I do, it's usually due to me messing something up on my Jeep. My visit to auto zone was no exception. Couldn't quite figure out what the check engine light was and was easily talked into buying a code reader by the staff. 45 bucks later, my jeep problems had a name and are now fixed! I stopped by this autozone before heading to my destination bc my car notified that my engine was overheated. Without having to ask for help Christian M came to help me put some coolant in my car. He also went inside to get more coolant for me since my dog and baby were in the car. He also did a test to see why my engine light was on. I really appreciate his help bc I had a full car. Staff member Jay was unable to locate my warranty for the brakes that I had purchased even though I presented the receipt. I had purchased the brakes at the DeZavala store which is where I tried to return them under the lifetime warranty and they were 2 years old. I then went to a different Auto Zone store and they immediately gave me the refund just by presenting the receipt and never tried to look the transaction up in their system. Kudos to the Bandera store. I have encountered Jay previously for other purchases and have found him unhelpful and somewhat rude and witnessed the same behavior with other customers as I am waiting. The DeZavala store has lost my business. read more

Just don't go here. I went to return a battery core for my husband who had to put it in the car cause i could not lift it, i asked for help getting it out of the car and after the guy put it on the counter he kinda looked at me like "what's up?", I said i am returning this battery core and he said "I can't refund you for a used battery", so thinking maybe something changed since the pandemic and they don't do that anymore and also that i couldn't lift it to take it back to my car, I said "well i don't need it", and left only to find out this morning that yes battery core is still a thing lol. When we called this morning to find out what was up, the guy i talked to just kept kinda telling me like i didn't clearly explain why i was there, he kept that going till i told him what the guy told me about refunding a used battery, that only slowed him down for 2 seconds and then it was back to the fastest excuses ever. So my experience with this store and the 2 employees i talked to, one was clueless and the other was a fast talker that was not interested in helping and at the end of the day they basically stole from us. read more

Yesterday I stopped by this Auto Zone location after my "Service Engine Soon" light started flashing on and off in my car. Of course I don't know much about cars; but wanted to ease my mind so stopped by immediately after work. I was greeted by Travis who was extremely helpful after I explained the issues I was having with my vehicle. He came outside with me, tested my vehicle and explained to me exactly why my service engine soon light was flashing on and off. He cleared the errors and explained what to do in the event that the light would come back on, although, he didn't think it would. I really genuinely appreciated Travis being upbeat and helpful in a time of worry for me. He was also nice with my children which I really appreciated. I never leave reviews but I downloaded Yelp just so I can let everyone know how helpful the team was. I stripped a bolt on my license plate cover and everyone was so helpful. Jose even put on my new plates! Tyler and Triston were the best, at finding new screws for my plate. They made this experience enjoyable as well as rememberable. Alex helped me with my steering wheel fluid. The car said I needed to stop driving immediately so I pulled into auto zone and asked for help since I don't know anything about that under my hood. My car windshield decided to get stuck and stop working. Since it was a Sunday no dealerships were open to help solve the problem. Went to autozone and Tyler was able to help me get my windshield back up, so it wouldn't be stuck down until I can get it fixed. He's a rockstar ! He was a ton of help and eased my worry. read more

ALTHOUGH THEIR STORE MANAGER NEEDS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT AND A NEW PROFESSION; NOT ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES ARE LIKE THAT. After leaving us stranded in SA, TX a couple of times; and after seeing the shelves of newly purchased (and recently "Returned", "Leaking" and "DEAD") EVERSTART batteries in Walmart Auto Center; I decided to go into Autozone to get a top quality replacement battery. After previously dealing with a strange store manager (I'll get his name later), I waited in line to talk to a different associate. "Michael B" not only identified me as a Veteran, but also helped me pick out a battery and ensured that it would fit, met all the requirements for my specific engine. He went above and beyond the sale to allay my concerns and proceeded to check my alternator and starter after I got the new battery installed. Patiently answered my questions, offered valuable battery warranty advice and overall ended up winning a satisfied customer for this store. I'm NOT/NOT going anywhere else for my automotive parts and supplies as long as he's there. MICHAEL B ROCKS! Thanks for helping this old retired Marine take care of his car. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm new to San Antonio but i'm always in Auto Zone..the store manager according to his name tag was very rude. I had recently bought car bulbs and turns out they have me the wrong ones..I went back in to switch them out and he asked "Why would I do that?" I work in the customer service/ hospitality field and that store needs some new employees. I would turn around and go to a different store..maybe Orileys. read more

The service here is absolutely horrendous. I mainly dealt with the parts manager, David, who was extremely rude. Seemed like he was having a really bad day or really did not enjoy working there at all. Everything he said had to be what felt like an argument or aggressive response instead of a simple courteous response or explanation. Also never greeted me when I walked in and just overall seemed like he was extremely annoyed that he had to help me. He provided false information regarding the warranty saying that it was expired and I needed to purchase a new battery. After later reviewing the receipt, I found that it was still in warranty and returned to speak with another associate who confirmed it was indeed within warranty. I would definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere to avoid the extremely poor customer service at this location. read more
