I was greeted by some helpful gentlemen and referred to Sherm. He helped me select the right cleaning solvent to get the coffee out of my car seats. As the other gentlemen claimed, Sherm is the expert, so I decided to ask some more car questions. Having a hefty scratch on the back of my car, I was wondering if I could take care of that myself. He helped me hand select the products needed, taught me how to do it, wrote it down and reviewed it with me. He looked up the style and make of my car to confirm we got the right paint, and made sure I understood how to do it. I also have a cracked fender/bumper(cluelessness example) and he helped me buy the products needed, and physically assisted me with putting the lug nuts on. As an older gentlemen he was on the ground helping me fix my issues. He made me confident that I could fix my scratches on my car, and he was incredibly professional and resourceful. I promised Sherm I would come back to show him the result when I repainted my scratches like he told me. When I came home, I told my fiancé about the encounter and he stated "they don't make them like that anymore". That's the truth, he took time out of his day to explain, assist, and physically look at the car issues I was facing. I was nervous walking into an auto repair store knowing nothing about cars or how to fix them, but genuinely walked out feeling motivated and confident to do it myself. Sherm is the best, he's experienced and has great customer service. They truly don't make them like him anymore. (Give that man a raise)

He didn't even ask what kind of car I had, so hoping it will work. Anyway when I was checking out he asked about rewards and I was being very kind and polite and just making conversation and said nope I don't come here often as a female lol. He decided to comment on that and said yeah I bet you got rewards for the dress shop... I said I don't go there often either lmao. my question is just why is any comment like that needed? When I paid, it was $20 higher than the quote, and they hadn't added in the tax. The total bill at "dealer cost" was the UHaul price. The install without electrical took almost 3 hours; it makes me wonder if they just took it to UHaul. It wasn't a complicated job and I should have just gone to UHaul myself; it was closer to home and the total experience would have been less time. Lesson learned. UPDATE: I called John P. about his reply. When I made the original appointment Ryan wrote down one number of the VIN wrong. We corrected it the next day, but he forgot to give the correct VIN to whomever ordered parts. He was pleasant and fully admitted his mistake and offered me to do the work at the dealership cost. While I was really frustrated about a second trip, I liked how Ryan was a stand-up guy and owned the mistake and made amends, so I went back. John hadn't investigated any of this but I did like that he mentioned they took off the exhaust because the car was louder than normal. John turned me over to Deano and he offered to send a runner to my house to pick up the car and look at it. That solved my two issues; driving distance and time. They dropped the car back off a couple of hours later and it was back to it's normal sound level. Deano called and said they found the heat shield bolts in the front of the car were rusted and coming apart. They wired it up the best they could. I'm guessing either by putting the car on the lift or messing with the exhaust was all it needed to loosen the heat shields. Kudos to Ryan and Deano. I still feel this was a high end shop doing a simple job; it looks like they do a lot of body and electrical work. Felt like I was going to a plastic surgeon to have my nails painted.

I was greeted and after getting the work order prepared I was told it should take no more than an hour. After 45 minutes my car was ready. The tire was installed on the new wheel and balanced and TPMS connected. The old wheel was placed in the trunk as requested. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. Very reasonable.
