You can't email them, or message about it, you have to call this particular person. I called him and he was arrogant and rude. I inquired about seeing the vehicle and test driving it. The first thing he mentions is how we have to come to a deal before I can even test drive the car. I refused and he gave me some other bs lines. This is apparently one guy who wants to be in control of everything and not an actual dealership. I could have just bought the car out, but am not agreeing to buy a vehicle until I look it over and drive it. I don't recommend this place to anyone, specifically because of the rude owner.

We discussed the price & he offered to look into a couple of his lenders. After some looking, he said he found one who was agreeably. Great!! I offered to call but he said they were gone for the day. He also said he'd gotten lots of calls about the car because it was new on his lot. I'm sure this was probably true so I had no problem Venmoing him $500 until we determined if this loan was going to be something I could live with. He also agreed to take cash in 2 payments about a week apart. More than once he mentioned he was glad I was paying all cash because that's what he preferred. Fast forward 2 days- I had thought about having a payment for $3k and decided I didn't want that plus I had no idea what the terms were so I called and offered $1900 less but all cash. He was having none of it, shamed me for essentially taking money from him & when I said ok just Venmo my money back, he told me it was non refundable. Um, nope, that was never discussed, this was in good faith on both of our parts. I emailed once with no different response then disputed it on Venmo. Today, I was given my money back!! About 2 weeks later.

Marks Automotive repair had my van for almost two weeks, did nothing but plug in a code reader then…read morecharged me $397 and wouldn't even offer to make the repairs they deemed urgent. I have a diy campervan that I was trying to get ready for a road trip from Nashville to New England and everywhere in between. I brought it to Marks Auto repair in Mt Juliet mechanic (same one for 17 years) to get routine service and a new steering gear box. I was told that my van was not fit to do a 3000 mile trip and instead of camping, I should just get hotels. I was charged $397.00 for them to give me driver error codes (P1207) and tell me not only did my gear box need replaced, but my transmission was gone, my entire ABS system needed replacement and my engine could seize up and leave me stranded. Mark Jr. told me they didn't even want to repair it because it would be a lot of work and not worth the money for an older (2004 Ford e150) vehicle. I was devastated! I had this trip planned for almost a year and only had a month to get a repair and routine service. I pulled the carfax and the records were spotless and precise (except for the entries that Marks Auto repair put in). I bought this van as a state vehicle in AZ and knew it had immaculate maintenance and service records. I knew the transmission just needed a drain and fill, new oil, and an all around check on tires etc... I took it to a trusted friend for a solid 2nd opinion and the gearbox was gone (I knew that) but friend said Transmission probably just needed a drain and fill, and that it would be fine. The Ford econolines were made to outlast. Some having 300-400k miles on them. Mine had 160k. Strange thing was, when I popped the hood to see if they had changed/filled any fluid (since I paid almost $400) there were no signs of ANYONE there. No finger prints, no swipe marks from someone leaning over the engine, nothing! There was the same dirt with no disruptions as there was 4 months prior when I put a new battery in myself! They had my van for almost two weeks and only gave me useless Marta codes that were from raving the engine while in park (rpm vs torque error). The ABS codes or light hasn't come on except on rare occasion, but Mark jr made it seem as if I was going to lose my brakes completely and have a tragic and sudden loss of control. Scary and dramatic! Long story, but this is not the first time Marks has been less than helpful and actually defeated the purpose of even bringing my vehicle into them on other occasions. For example, I had an oil leak in an '07 Mustang that had leaked onto my garage floor and they told me to just watch the fluid level, it didn't need to be fixed!? What? So for years, I had to put a pad under my car because I just trusted what they said. Now I know better. Now I know there are other mechanics who want to do the work, gain trust and don't swindle or use scare tactics to get you off the lot. I brought my van into Marshall Automotive repair in Hermitage, they listened and tested the all the things. They replaced the steering gearbox got it aligned, changed my fluids, looked over all the other systems and gave me a thumbs up for the trip. It was a long, difficult journey and I did it solo. To be honest, there were some scary thoughts in my head thinking "what if Mark Jr. was right?" Completely paranoid at times and questioning everything made it difficult to truly enjoy my vacation to the fullest, but I had to trust my gut and my gut said Marks Auto repair was wrong. And they were! So, here we are.... $400 in the hole for absolutely nothing and 3000k miles later... whatcha gonna do Mark's?

First of…read moreall, they didn't have the title for the vehicle we purchased and didn't bother to acquire it from the auction until I called to follow up a month after the purchase. As for our trade in, they never paid it off even after three months due to some ignorant mistakes on their part, again only being resolved after I called over and over pressuring them to get this done. Every answer I got felt like a lie or excuse and suddenly was resolved by the end of the business day when I dropped the friendly and forgiving demeanor. My credit score went down due to having two active car loans and my reimbursement from my previous lender for the difference in the current payoff and payoff check will not include THREE WHOLE MONTHS of accrued interest. I had to jump through hoops not to be fined by the state for not insuring a car I didn't have and I had to call and hold their hands through every step of this trade in. Very unprofessional, incompetent, and dishonest group of folks, so if you buy from them be prepared to do everything yourself until all your ducks are in a row...

Vehicle: 2008 Lexus LS 460 L 4dr Sedan Prior to purchasing the vehicle the car fax was provided to me and I asked validating questions about vehicle directly to Jamie. Upon receiving the car it was immediately noted by me that vehicle displayed the following issues: all 4 vehicle rims were not what were advertised on Car Guru's listing and not what was agreed upon. Rear tires were bald and had zero tread on them on. Vehicle was leaking oil on my driveway. I called Jamie the next business day to state concerns and was directed by him to take vehicle to a repair shop to have it completely inspected. Repair shop provided list of all safety issues that would need to be addressed asap: Horn not working, torn windshield wipers, front sway bar bushings needed, front/rear air shocks needed, 4 tires needed (rear bald - front has balding on edges), transmission slipping, front rear facing ball joints torn, oil filter housing cracked causing oil leak, engine timing cover leaking oil. Needs new tires and alignment. After sharing these issues with Jamie his response was that any labor needed on the vehicle was my responsibility and that "Midas could not be trusted and their business model is to scare and overcharge". He suggested I shop around for the repairs. The issues must all be addressed in order for vehicle to pass PA state inspection - which I informed Jamie would be needed upon my receiving the car. Jamie knowingly sent me an UNSAFE vehicle and NEVER disclosed any of these SAFETY issues. I did not agree to purchase a vehicle in this condition. As of 6/11/24 the vehicle is completely inoperable and has been issued a preliminary diagnosis of a failed fuel pressure sensor. I am making monthly payments ($346/mo.) and the car is not safe and not operable.
