I had an unfortunate experience during what should have been a basic oil change on my F-150. The…read moreservice included a brake inspection, and my wheels have security lugs. I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. A $50-off coupon will not bring back my business.

Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. One of the owners of the business they towed us from told us that they just wait outside the parking lot for victims. They charged us for 2 days worth of storage even though we tried to pick it up the night of the towing and they claimed they were closed. Then charged us again the next day even though we were there as soon as they opened. Mike, the guy working the desk was a gem. He let his cat crawl all over us while simultaneously being hostile and uncooperative with any questions we had. He didn't want to give us any information about his company, but to be fair, he didn't ask us for any either. As soon as he had the $, he gave up the car. No DL, no Title, nothing. Efficient. Caring. Honest. Accurate…read more Siewert's saved our anniversary weekend trip. We were "stuck" in Red Wing, MN with a broken down car on our anniversary. It was a Thursday evening. Being 250 miles from home, knowing nobody in the area and needing to be in the Twin Cities the next day, financially and logistically we looked to be between a rock and a hard place. We wanted to spend a day in Red Wing, but we had tickets and hotels that could not be cancelled w/o losing our money if we didn't show in St. Paul the next night. Renting a car was very difficult logistically, out of Red Wing. Especially since the weekend was approaching. Enter, Siewert's Towing. They towed our broken down vehicle and gave us a ride to our hotel about 10 miles away. Knowing our situation, they made no promises but said they'd do what they could. Beyond staffing and other issues of an unscheduled repair, there were parts to obtain. The work took all of Friday to complete, but it wasn't an easy job. Siewert's even gave us a ride to the one attraction we had planned on seeing in Red Wing, while we waited for the work to be done. By late afternoon, they brought us back to the shop and sent us on our way. Their work and pricing was honest and great. The car runs as it should. These are just the type of folks you pray to meet if you are far from home with a broken down car and don't know what to do! We will be forever grateful!
