Did a fantastic job on my Mazda. I got a new car a few months ago and wanted to tint the back to keep it cooler especially with winter coming. The guy I spoke to did a great job explaining all the different types of tint and how they impacted light and temperature. We went over it all and I made my selection, they got the job done same day and it looks fantastic. No bubbles, ripples or anything it's a perfect job. After we were done he was showing me their "air" tint which is clear but reflects a ton of heat and keeps the car cooler. I'm probably going to go back to have my front done with the air. Highly recommend Auto Tint West for all your tinting needs. read more

One of the go-to Tint Shops in Bakersfield. As someone who previously had a Model 3, I know not many tint shops can tint it properly. To me, a shop is skilled if they can tint a Tesla roof in one piece. If a place says they can't do it, don't go there. This person was quick to answer the phone and set up an appointment on email. Would recommend! They have been around for a while and uses Llumar which technically is not the latest and greatest but still works amazingly. Did a great job with my Model Y read more

Great service. I've been going here for years. I will continue going here for years to come.

They did quality work on my 2024 Prius Prime. Very happy with the results. Highly recommend them. Make sure to make an appointment and that way you can get a quote. Llumar IRX Ceramic tint, which provides great heat rejection, was the one they used for the windows and Llumar Air 70 for the moonroof. Out of all of the companies I was able to get quotes for window tinting, they were the most reasonable. read more

Needed to get the windows tinted in my wife's car and my local go to didn't have a time slot that worked with my schedule. I searched some places here on Yelp and after checking around I chose Auto Tint West. I explained my time constraints to them and they said come right now and we will get you in so I did. Upon my arrival they explained my options and gave me the knowledge I needed to make a choice with zero pressure to up sale me. I made my deduction on the lower scale and they were prepared to start the work, the car was a lease and I wasn't looking to invest a lot of money. I started second guessing my decision and they showed me a demo that you can rotate the different products in front of a heat lamp so you could see and feel the difference. After doing this I quickly changed my mind and opted to upgrade to the best choice with a significant improvement in heat performance. I truly appreciate the no pressure options and the flexibility of them squeezing me in without an appointment. They also noticed something in one of the windows they tinted and took it upon themselves to replace it right then, and still met the estimated time for the job. Thanks for everything guys! read more

High quality tint have never had a tint job last or look as flawless as the one I have got from ATW.

Difficult to get an appointment, especially during the summer, but its proof these guys are good at what they do. Ended up going with Llumar CTX and I wish I had tinted my car a whole lot sooner. The inside of my car has never been cooler (outside of winter). Application was flawless. And after the cure time, all bubbles and residual droplets had evaporated. Might do Llumar Air Blue 80 for the windshield down the line, and I want Auto Tint West to be the ones to do it. read more

The back of my house is east facing and very hot in the afternoon. I decided to check into tinting my back windows to see if that would help. I called and left a message. Brian called me back within a couple hours and we made a date for an estimate. Brian came out and measured my windows and explained their products and prices. Got an estimate and Brian told me he would order our film. A week later, Brian called and said my film was in and they could install it that day. The guys came over and installed the film. Looks so nice! I'm very pleased with it. The heat in the afternoon has been decreased a lot. Brian and his crew were very knowledgeable. The installation of the film was a smooth process that didn't take long at all. I'm very happy with the results! read more

My wife and I had our cars windows tinted here, and were very satisfied with every bit of our experience. The staff was friendly, the prices were fair, and our car was finished fairly quickly - took them about 3 hours to complete the job. They certainly bought themselves a repeat customer in my book, and we will be taking all future cars there if we need our windows tinted! Would definitely recommend!! read more

I am still not happy with my Tint. I received tint on a Saturday and contacted the business that Monday. Although, I enjoy the tint on the back part three windows, I am not thrilled about the front windows as I've expressed my concerns instantly as the heat was still burning my arms. I am not happy. It's unfortunate that the owner offers to fix but when I tried to schedule an appointment, he did not recall. My family has provided this company with " A LOT" of business. read more

let's just say I called to get car in and let them know that they already had talked to the car dealership and gave them a quote.. The GUY. RUDE and was second questioning what was quoted. And then told me that they couldn't get the car in til end of may. I wouldn't recommend here. Due to how rude they are. I'll stick with my normal guy read more

When you live in Bakersfield and the summer heat will be relentless on you and your car, so we always tint our windows. I wouldn't go anywhere else but here. These guy's know what they are doing and do it right. When we took our Lexus in I wanted my front windows done but in our lovely state it is illegal to tint them. So they recommended a product that cut out most of the heat that didn't look tinted. It was amazing and works fantastic. Needless to say we've been back with two more vehicles for the same tint. Always great customer service and the work is perfect every time. So what more can I say. If you need your windows tinted and want it done right at a decent price, these are your guys. Auto Tint West has been around for a long time for a reason, so check them out!!! read more

Highly skilled and trained professionals, I only take my vehicles here anytime I need tinting done. The service comes with a lifetime warranty on labor and tint which covers discoloration, bubbling, warping, etc. The only thing I would recommend is having some kind of shuttle system as I had to find my own ride after dropping my car off, even if I had to pay a couple extra dollars. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service. read more

Perfect job as always! Not the cheapest in town by any means but you get what you pay for. You can go get some cheap job somewhere else but you're going to bringing it here in a matter of time to get it redone when it's starts to go to crap. Do it right the first time and take it to someone who's been doing it for 30+ years! read more

I've heard great things about this place, their service, their warranty and the awesome job they do. My appointment was today at 1:00. I got there a little early and they had no problem getting started early. I waited b/c I didn't want to bother my friends or family and I was out of there in just a little over an hour. My car looks great and I'm super satisfied! The young man who worked on my car, bless his heart, he was not feeling well but still put in 100% effort and did an amazing job! Thank you!! (I'll be back soon for the front windows!) read more

Just had Auto Tint West tint both our Lexus and our Volkswagen. They do quality work, they are easy to get an appointment with, and I have not been dicked around on time. The prices are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. But they do a good job. Tip to customers and potential customers: be sure to print and keep warranty paperwork if they email it to you. Or if they give it to you, be sure to keep it. If you have trouble, it will be easier to seek relief. They are the ones who tint our vehicles, past, present and future. read more

I've had 2 of my vehicles windows tinted here, they do great work. I'm getting ready to take my new car in next month.

Auto Tint West Inc. ALWAYS exceeds my expectations. I have had a total of 5 vehicles over the years tinted by Auto Tint West. What impresses me most is the quality of product and flawless application. Auto Tint West treats you like family and truly appreciates your business. Support the ORIGINAL tint shop in town. REMEMBER: You truly get what you pay for. All of my vehicles tinted by this company look EXACTLY the same as when I first drove off their facilities...there is NO fading and peeling with this company! read more

Auto Tint West provides the best window tint service in all of Kern County! I like to keep my car clean and looking good. After all, any car is considered a big purchase. I've taken many cars to many different window tint spots in town: From shady garage like locations behind Mercado Latino to professional tinting shops. ATW is by far the cleanest shop with the most professional staff. Doug, Shawn and Brian absolutely know their shit. The fact that ATW takes their time to remove door panels, remove spoilers, etc. prior to tinting a window is proof of the high quality service provided. You can either go the cheap route and get some crap window tint that will most likely turn purple and have a load of dirt between the window and tint, or you can go to ATW, and pay for quality, customer service that is backed by an exceptional warranty. read more

I had an appointment for another shop but canceled it because I arrived at my scheduled time and they weren't open. I called Auto Tint West and asked if they had any availability for that day. I called to make an appointment to tint my minivan. It was scheduled for the next day. I was given an approximate time of 3 hrs. It was done in 2. I was very pleased with their customer service (thanks Luis) and professional work. This is my second vehicle that I have brought in for tint. The work on my first vehicle (2007) was perfect so I didn't want to go anywhere else for my second vehicle. Why go anywhere else when these guys do great work?
