I brought my car in with a dreaded check engine light on, my turbocharger was failing. The code makes you think you can fix it. Mike told me that we need to be smart about it because the labor cost of removing the turbocharger, repairing it and putting it back it back was over one thousand dollars! On top of that repairing the problem related to the code doesn't guarantee the check engine light won't come back on! It also doesn't mean there might be another problem with the turbocharger. He offered that I can shop for a replacement turbocharger and he would do the same. I found a new OEM turbocharger for a good price and he installed it for me! I live all the way in Brooklyn NY and asked a local business owner if they could refer me somewhere I could trust to get me back on the road. They referred me to Direct Drive Diagnostics and when I got there, Thomas literally stopped what he was working on to assist me. This is arguably one of the best mechanic experiences I've ever had. Lisa the office Manager was a sweetheart and Thomas and his partner were able to assess what was wrong, and get my car up in running in roughly under 40 minutes.
