Great place to have your car washed and detailed. Gabino Hernandez has detailed my car several times. I can tell you that every time he does a superb job. I highly recommend Mr. Hernandez! He is a very caring person. read more

I recently just took both of my cars to Auto Pride for what I like to call a Car Spa Day... My wife's car was a mess, inside and out, it needed to be cleaned ASAP, so she had recommended I take it to her place, Auto Pride in San Carlos. When I got there I decided to give it the full service work up, the top Car Wash along with a Hand Wax, god knows when the last time that car had been waxed. I had some time to kill and didn't mind waiting for them to give it the star treatment. After about 45 minutes, they called me over and told me to take a look and let me know if everything was to my liking. The car was spotless and shiny... it was probably brand new since the last time I had seen it like that. Considering the state I had brought it in, they did an amazing job! I was so happy with it that I decided to bring my car back a few days later for the same star treatment! My car a little bigger took about an hour, but again looked amazing afterwards, inside and out. I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with this place and plan on bringing my car back only here again in the future! read more

I went here today to get my oil changed b/c I saw they were running a special for oil change and full service car wash for $37.95. Unfortunately that's when the good news stops. The service man tried to convince me I needed synthetic oil for my 99 VW Jetta (which would bump the oil change price up to $70!) When I questioned why I had never heard this before, he developed a smart-ass attitude and told me that I should read my owner's manual. I managed to hold my ground and told him to use the same 10W-40 I have been using for 6 years, but not without feeling totally taken for a ride. When I came to pick up the car, the technican in question did apologize for his attitude, which I appreciated, but all the same I still hold a grudge for him trying to make me feel like an idiot and sell me a $70 oil change. As for the full service car wash, I was very disappointed. The interior was vacummed but they didn't even bother to wipe down the dash or the cup holders. I can only hope the half ass job was due to the promotion. I can't imagine paying full price for that! read more

Terrible service, the car still has dog hair, dust and terrible windshield. I came home and sponge cleaned my car. I don't recommend it. I paid 50$ for this ridiculous end product. read more

I went to auto pride in San Carlos and the service was amazing. I met Jorge and he's the manager there and he was amazing human being who cared about me as a human and then took care of my vehicle to the extend and he provided extra care for my car. I am thankful to george because I felt very comfortable to have him care for my vehicle. Thank you George. read more

Hello. I had an oil change and a car wash last week. All went well until the oil change guys failed to screw the undercarriage properly. It fell off while driving. Had to get the car towed. Cost me $65 Went back to auto pride and was treated amazing. Per my request they reimbursed me with cars wash credits. But gave me close to $150 in credits. Handled the complaint and made the situation right. Well done Tony read more

This place has the nicest staff of any car wash I have ever been to. I brought in a very very dirty car inside and out and was only quoted $200 to get the entire thing clean. After I had already paid I was called away to a family emergency. I had been told that the $200 wash would take hours and suddenly that was no longer possible. The manager helped me out in every way possible and I was able to leave with a much cleaner car in a shorter amount of time. Not as clean as the $200 wash would have been but that's my fault not theirs!! Seriously, they were so accommodating, nice, thoughtful and even funny! I cannot recommend this place enough. I drive down from San Francisco to get washed here!!! read more

Very good service, I'll come again for the superb work on my 2018 Jetta oil change. Tony greeted me with a warm welcome with answers to all my questions. This has been the best oil change service I've gotten in a while. read more

I just wanted to extend my appreciation to Tim Mitchell (Owner) and Eric Brisgel (Manager) for addressing my previous issue and correcting the matter. The detailing job was awesome and Eric personally inspected and worked on my car to ensure that everything was perfect when I left. I will definitely be back here for future car washes and detailing services. You guys are awesome!!! Much mahalo to you and the staff at Auto Pride. read more

Our Subaru was embarrassingly dirty. We have a roof rack and a bike rack attached to the roof rack so we didn't want to go through a normal car wash with the big brushes that probably wouldn't properly clean and may damage them. Took our car here and they did a great job in the time allotted. I would have cleaned the holes in the allow wheels more thoroughly but given the layers of dirt and speed, they did a fantastic job! Also the cashier in the shop was ridiculously nice/friendly/personable. Used the coupon from the Yelp app for a silver wash. read more

GUYS: this is a great place to earn man-points without expending too much time, effort, or dough. Just bring your lady's car here, get the oil changed, get the free car wash, buy her a nice candle or some bath salts in the gift shop, and voila--you're a hero, for less than $60 and less than an hour of your time. GALS: you can, if necessary or so desired, bring your own car here, get the oil changed, get the car washed, and buy yourself a gift at the shop, which has some surprisingly nice stuff, like Thymes bath products (my wife likes these, so I assume you will too). MOMS: they sell toys in the gift shop. I suppose this could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your situation. ALL OF YOU: ignore the upsell on the transmission fluid. They will always tell you it looks dirty & the manufacturer recommends changing it. They are not technically lying, but you don't need to get this done every time you get a freakin' oil change. Same goes for the air filter... leave all this stuff to your trusted garage for major interval service. The other common up-sell here is new wipers. Personally, I can't be bothered to make a separate trip to Kragen, so I just say "yes" when I get the last wash of the summer, knowing the rain is just around the corner. Maybe I paid a few bucks extra, I don't really care. PS: they also have gas pumps at fairly typical prices. So you can get yet another thing taken care of all with one stop! read more

Good hand car wash for luxury cars. Was not able to get all of the bug stains off the windshield, but affordable and solid job.

They used to do a great job but I just left there and there's stuff that wasn't vacuumed and the console was still sticky. I won't be back.

Worst car wash I've ever been to, Ihad to clean my truck again at my place, after I seen to many water spots and dust on the interior, for 40 bucks I was expecting some professional work, what a joke. read more

I went by Auto Pride the day after Halloween because my car had been egged! I got there around 8:30am about 30 Minutes after they opened to see they were still closed. I needed to get the egg off my car ASAP! I noticed a car in the back and decided to call to see if perhaps they were just opening later. A man named Jorge answered and he mentioned due to a storm coming in they were closed for the day. He asked if there was anything I needed and when I mentioned what had happened he asked me to wait in my car that he'd be right out. Jorge was a Godsend!!! He rolled up the doors (and his sleeves) to their oil stop, got out cleaning supplies and spent over 30 minutes removing the egg off my car. This act of kindness meant more to me than I could ever express. I tried offering him money and he said, "no thank you, I'm just doing the right thing". WOW!!! I am beyond grateful for Jorge's kindness and selflessness. I have held a monthly membership with this establishment for years and will continue to do so because their employees are all kind and go above and beyond. Thank you for your amazing customer service Jorge!!! read more

No happy with their service. Took my son's car to get washed, we bought the gold wash. When I got home we I had to clean up the inside of his car and revaccum his vehicle. I wouldn't go back there, they did a very poor job. I didn't expect it to be spotless but the could have wiped down the dashboard and vacuumed a little more. read more

Jorge and the team made my car look like a brand new metal. They heard every little detail and concerns I had when it comes to car wash. My experience in previous car wash place she's been horrendous( ducky's car wash- the packages are sooo confusing that there will always be a missing part in interior details always). But at auto pride Jorge did more than expected. They even cleaned the car seat and used a steamer. The prices are competitive and the service is brilliant. They will also guide you in choosing the right package. Unlike other places that push you towards the most expensive package. Freeee coffee whike you hang out and wait for your car. read more

After hearing back from management and receiving a complimentary full detail service, I felt compelled to update my review but not my rating. Service wise this place is above many others around the peninsula but consistency just isn't there and here is why. They have a few more locations where you can go and get your car washed if you have a monthly membership. I sometimes end up using the Burlingame location due to convenience especially when my cars are booked back to back and need to be delivered near the airport. What I can't stand is the fact that your monthly plan gets you 2 very different things at each location. At San Carlos, the cheapest monthly plan for just the outside gets you a hand wash and hand dry service, tire dressing, window cleaning (in and out) and air freshener. At their Burlingame location, all you get is a drive through wash with air blower dry. Once you're through their car wash you're pretty much done and drive out with a semi wet car and water marks everywhere. I really wish consistency was there across all their locations as it makes no sense to pay for something that you can't get in all their locations. read more

Still a crappy car wash - but now it's $40! Spend $40 and you get to go home and reclean the car - awesome service. Too bad the "contact us" on their website is broken - probably tired of hearing complaints and betting they don't read their Yelp reviews. But if you are interested I have the pictures of the job. read more

So this is what you get for $35. I shouldn't have to go over my car wheel by wheel, inside, or outside. Pretty disappointing. The only reason I take my car here is the "hand wash." They missed so much though. I get it....it's going down a line, but for the 15 minutes they have my car to clean it, I expect more than this. read more

Paid $26, The car was mostly clean, but one of the main reasons I went was to remove a lot of bugs off of my bumper after taking a long drive. They got like 50% of the bugs, but those were probably the ones that just fell off with water. The ones that are still on there I can remove with my finger nail and some effort, but for a place that advertises hand wash, they didn't put much effort into cleaning the exterior. Won't be going there again. Also the place was not busy, so clearly this is a behavior and not just a one off. read more

Took my car in for an oil change and couldn't have been happier! I think the gentleman's name was Tony...? He was awesome. Anyway, they were quick, kind and a great deal. I also had a coupon for a free car wash with the service and they didn't even take it. I got a great car wash while I waited. I will definitely go back. read more

I'm pretty much tired of giving people chances and I'm beginning to see that Yelp is not really a place where you can hold businesses accountable for there lack of good service. even though you get bad reviews lazy customers still decide to come back to to a place who gives you crappy service. This place is now charging 29.99 for a regular car wash and still leave my car dirty I've complained numerous times and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but this will be the last time I come back to this place and maybe the owners don't care because they still have plenty of cars coming through that is a very shity way of running a business. read more

They did a very good exterior wash of my Tesla :) Great price too!

You know it's been a good weekend answering emails on Monday morning while your carpets are being cleaned. Thank goodness for Auto Pride. Not sure why other Yelpers gave this place a low rating. The facilities are clean, nice area to shop while you wait, and complimentary coffee & tea. Maybe my expectations are low, but even with their car wash price almost being doubled in the last few years, it's still a time-savings for me. oh yea, and my buddies NOW owe me $58.99 for my carpets and a car wash. :D read more

Even if I end up paying so much for an oil change, I do get a free carwash. On my last visit here, I highlighted a couple of points that struck a good chord with me. 1. As I pulled up to the oil change garage, I was very surprised they knew my name. I've only been here maybe 3 times before, and I didn't think they'd even know who I am. 2. The guys who washed my car had cleaned off the annoying dried tree sap (all 4 of them) on my windshield. That's just something I really don't have time to do myself, so I did feel my trip here was worth it all. read more

I am about to go back tomorrow based on the time past when I ordered a detail. I will be paying very close attention to their performance because although I was pleased with how clean and fresh my car came out, it was not super perfect; there was a coffee stain on the front carpet that they didn't get, and the paint on the rear license plate frame was slightly smeared. Will report back afterwards. Second visit happened April '08. I ordered the platinum service along with the detail where they shampoo the carpets (to get that coffee stain). They did a good job but alas, still not perfect -- is it possible this is just ME? Nope, there was dust left in some of the dash cracks, the hardware near the floor was a little grimey and they left a cup lid with dried milk flakes on the back seat, yuk! I picked it up and brushed it off and I guess I am happy afterall. I will go back, but do not plan to buy a detail for at least another year. Oh, and they neglected to add the jasmine scent I'd asked for but no biggie. read more

I moved from Belmont to the coast 3 years ago but I still make the drive to come here. In addition to handling my oil changes when needed I bring my CRV for a wash at least once a month and they always do a great job! I carry around 2 dogs and a carful of kids. The staff manages to get each single piece of pet hair and every last cookie crumb, every time. My car always looks brand new when I leave, even if it only lasts a few hours. I addition to the fantastic and speedy service I actually look forward to coming here so I can browse their gift shop. It's a hidden gem in San Carlos! They sell art, books, cards, wine and liquor accessories and carry a huge selection of those wooden signs with witty sayings that are so popular right now. It's the perfect spot to find a thoughtful and unique for a hard to please person. Did I mention free coffee? Worth a stop! read more

You get a 100% hand wash and they don't have any of those automatic spinning or oscillating deals that are prone to damage or scratch your car. Their prices are reasonable compared to others, and the results are consistently good. I've had a few occasions where some tough spots didn't come out too well, such as some Tahoe mud in the running boards, wheel wells, etc. didn't come totally clean. But I think that's to be expected if your vehicle is especially trashed from adverse road conditions. They also do a good job on the interior and get all the inside windows, wipe down all of the surfaces such as the dash, console, gauges etc. reasonably well. If you have serious coffee stains or the like in your cup holders or elsewhere, they may not get those. But it's a carwash for Christmas sake, not a detail joint. If your car is really trashed, clean it your self or pay $100+ to have it detailed. Their oil change and car wash deal is pretty sweet too. I used to go to jiffy lube and get their ~$40 service. But then I found out about the same deal here which includes their free full service car wash. They also have decent free coffee and tee, and some chairs and tables where you can sit and watch them work on your car. The oil guys will try to sell some additional services, but they have not tried to sell me stuff that was completely unreasonable. In other words, the stuff they tried to sell me was maintenance that was recommended by the manufacturer. However, their prices on the non-traditional services such as transmissions, radiator, etc. are a bit steep, but this is typical with any quick lube shop. They get you in on the cheap oil change, then make money off you on the non-traditional items such as wiper blades, air filters, transmission and radiator services. I generally always say no to that stuff, then check my owner's manual to see if it is actually recommended, then call a few shops and price it out. I wouldn't trust any quick lube place to tell me what my car needed...how do they know, it's my car!? read more

I went today after reading the reviews. I give 'em 4 stars. Easy access into the car wash area in back. Easy to pay inside. Use the online coupons for $4 bucks off. Nice patio area to wait for your car and meet new people. The car came out nice and clean in a few minutes. They did a good job on the wipedown and my huge black SUV looked great. I'll start by saying that I know next to nothing about cars and oil changes apart from the fact that one is needed to make the other run smoothly, so my review is more about the overall experience and the value which I felt I got in my non-expert opinion. I came here during my lunch break for an oil change and car wash. They have a combo deal which is $40 and I also printed a $4 off coupon from their website. The $40 is for the regular oil and I was also offered two higher quality oil types for an additional cost but I declined since I was not sure they were necessary. The workers were friendly and informative and it was pleasant sitting in the sunshine while my car got worked on. Overall I was very pleased with the service. In total I'd say it took half and hour or so which I did not mind at all, especially with the cute gift shop right there. I was actually surprised how quick it was considering I showed up during lunch-time. The car wash was not totally perfect and I did wind up touching up a couple spots but I'd say it was pretty good for the car wash/oil change price which I paid ($36 with my coupon). read more

Never go here for a fluids change. I was fooled. I just got a used car and shouldnt have told them that. They told me I needed my transmission and rear differential fluids changed based on a pallate they showed me that compares the color of the actual fluid to what came out of the car. To my dismay the colors were completely different! But they're supposed to be (I only found this out after the fact). Ended up paying double of what I would have had to for the fluids - I really only needed oil. Also, when they changed my rear differential fluid they played like it wasn't suppose to smell like rotten egg - possibly to make me feel I made the right decision. read more

I've been going to Auto Pride for years...back when they charged $9.99 for a Silver Wash. It's now $17.99. Thanks to Yelp (and William C.), now I know I can get a coupon online! My friend once drove her brand new car over a freshly-tarred street (can't believe she ignored the barriers) and got tar all over her car. She called me crying and I sent her to Auto Pride. The guys there were able to get it all off after working on it for an hour or so, without any damage to her car. And they didn't even charge her an exorbitant amount for the service. There's a small gift shop - lots of nice greeting cards and cool little knick-knacks. I love how you can go shopping while waiting for your car to be washed. They also provide coffee and tea while you wait. read more
