Would deal with these folks again without hesitation.

Re: Jeff Toffin Invoice # 140054 Hello Sam…read more I'm writing concerning the work completed on my vehicle. I have to admit that I was disappointed to find that nothing had been fixed, including the squealing from the idler bearing or the a/c compressor. The squeal was heard by your staff and the tech that worked on the vehicle. I fact the tech came to investigate it in the parking lot before I had left and after I had paid my bill. I was told that the a/c system had been over-charged. Are you able to tell me what the pressure was upon the initial testing? I also wonder why the refrigerant that came out of my system was not re-installed to the correct pressure. My a/c was blowing cold air and the refrigerant was fairly new. Can you tell me what the system was charged too? As far as the blower problem goes, I have noticed no change there either. The blower fan comes on and it appears there is a loose connection at the ECU on the a/c unit. I'm wondering how you might be able to help me out as I'm not all that pleased with where things are at. Jeff Re: Jeff Toffin Invoice # 140054 August 27, 2926 Hello Sam, I am writing to ask you to repair the hood damage on my 1962 Sub resto-mod caused by the new idler pulley dust cover flying into the hood after the three machine screws holding the cover to the idler pulley were incorrectly torqued by the service tech allowing it to fly off striking the underside of the hood and passenger-side inner fender-well. I recall hearing a very large bang roughly two days following the idler pulley replacement your shop performed. At the time of the unexpected and unusually loud bang I assumed I had driven over something fairly large. It wasn't until I was washing the vehicle for the first time since the loud bang that I noticed and photographed the hood and inner fender damage documenting the incident. It is easy to visualize the sharp edge of the dust cap as the cause of the dent, on what once was a very well maintained and nearly blemish free hood on my show car. I suspect you will not contest and have business insurance for unfortunate circumstances such as these. I would appreciate a written response to my request for full compensation for the costs associated with the damage and inconvenience of needing to have the repair in the first place. Respectfully, Jeff

So, normally I'm a huge fan of Auto Value because they are helpful and don't judge me since I'm not…read morevery auto savvy, but this particular location is NOT my favourite. I was sad when the 'check engine' light in my car went on, but a little happier when my boyfriend told me Auto Value had a device that will tell you what is wrong with it. I guess you just plug it in to your car somewhere and it gives you a code which tells you the reason the light is on. Well, I stopped by this Auto Value on my way to work the other to ask if they could help me out. Not only was I ignored at first, but I would swear that I was almost invisible to them. When I finally was welcomed to the counter I told them what I was there for. I was told that I would have to wait while the guy answered a couple of phone calls. He took someone off hold and started talking about something about his house. This means, he told me I would have to wait while he made a personal call. Not cool. Then, when he finally got off the phone he asked me if I knew where the plug-in was and seemed pissed when I didn't. He had to look it up. After finally finding the spot, he came out to my car with me and tried to plug it in. He tried only two or three times to get the device plugged in and then gave up, telling me it wouldn't work. Not only was he not helpful, but he was flat out rude to me! I realize that I was asking for something for free, but isn't that their job? Aren't they supposed to help people fix and upgrade their cars? I guess not at this location.
