During the repair the windshield is broken beyond repair. They tell me I have to claim it on my insurance for windshield replacement. I told them, their liable for the broken windshield since they broke it while repairing it. This was Safelite's fault. They said, since I have no deductible, it won't affect me. I disagreed. They argued with me. Although, they had no real leg to stand on. I didn't want it as a comp on my insurance. I called my insurance. The secretary at my local insurance was shocked at this development. My insurance agent was supposed to call me back but never did. I needed it repaired quickly so eventually, it was repaired using my insurance. Fast forward four months later and two insurance companies have denied coverage because of the comp on the window that wasn't even my fault. My recommendation: Avoid Safelite in Sedalia or anywhere at all costs. I've also shared this with several insurance providers in town who agreed to spread the word.
